The famous actress and mother was driving by The Covenant School when the tragedy took place. What does "god bless you" mean in this situation?
I’m a teacher and had a kindergartener ask me if “any kids from our school got dead” because she didn’t understand. When I explained that no, this was somewhere else she asked “has that ever happened here?” And I got the biggest lump in my throat and had to excuse myself to the restroom once she was happily playing. It’s so unfair. They deserve to learn and grow in peace.
The first-hand account is just tearjerking, chilling, and heartbreaking. Thank you to the teachers/staff, Melissa, and all the emergency responders (and unknowns) who helped to those babies be safe as best they could!
How selfless and caring and not at all typical of a "celebrity" she was the best Sabrina! Hands down. This is so touching that she can still just be human.. a lot of people with that level of fame would not have stopped.

Great example of humanity regardless of your fame and status. I was wondering where the students were at when the police stormed the school. The teachers and staff acted swiftly to protect and save as many students as possible. They should all be commended for their bravery ❤

I didn’t know she lived in Nashville. Glad she was there to help. One of the girls in my law class lost her dad, Mike Hill. There has been a cloud over Nashville this past week, but the humanity of people coming together to help has been astonishing. So sad for the families who lost their loved ones, but thankful there weren’t even more fatalities.
These teachers were so brave to save these children at great risk to themselves. God bless those that died.

Being in one of the office buildings by this school, she speaks truth when she is referencing the woman searching for ways to get to her child. We could all see out our office windows only to see the chaos outside. The horrible part was watching all of the parents rushing towards the school frantically, all the while the ambulances flying past them going in the opposite direction. Such a sad, sad day. My ❤ breaks for those parents.

My son was also in a lock down today at Holmes High school here in Kentucky when police decided to go after the Spanish teacher for Child porn and pandering obscenity to a minor! I am livid! Why not arrest this guy before school even started today?!
I'm 72, and grew up in the East Ky. hills. I can remember when the police wouldn't have been needed if a teacher had done that. I don't even recognize this country anymore.

Yes that’s why I left the profession. I started working in schools at 17 and now 32. I loved my kids, I loved changing lives, but it just isn’t solely about that anymore. I’m about to be a mom and I want to be able to be around for my kids and family. I’m always traumatized and wonder when (not if) I’ll be shot down dead by these killers….and for my own sanity I had to leave.

This is BS. Teachers are paid VERY well. They don't work all year long, and don't earn 12 months worth of salary. They're OVERPAID for their actual skills. Most grade school teachers make between $60K and $80K. They're in a UNION, so they're paid MORE than they would earn in the REAL World, where their actual skills are worth squat.

It's really sad that our teachers and kids have to practice drills for shootings when they should be practicing there studies I cried the 1st time my kids came home and said mom we had to learn what to do if something like this ever happens my heart goes out to these families
Would you rather they not practice what to do in the event of a lunatic coming to their school? Back when I was a kid we had firs drills that we had to do. Nobody cried nobody's heart broke as it was seen as a good idea as to what to do in case of a fire. It was meant to teach us how to respond in a manner that would help us to survive.
I also remember kids that came to school and had gun racks in the back window of their trucks. Those gun racks were also full - with guns and ammo as well. Now, here is the craziest part of all of it.... NOBODY EVER DIED because of that either.

She then when on to say she went to go get her first grader and she did not remember if he was in lockdown or not... BOOM.. DONE... She lost me right there. LIES is what she was selling.. Trust me this type of event is one of those that if you had to actually live through you would never forget.... Every second of it would stay in your head and play nonstop on a loop... You would not just not remember where you child was and if you were able to make your way to them or not.

Do it, homeschooling. I homeschool my 5-year old niece. She tested at 2nd grade levels because I got to focus on her instead of waiting for 29 other kids to catch up. I'm not worried about her being social - she's a child so naturally social. She has a ton of respect and great manners I'm sure a school wouldn't teach her; schools just make sure our kids are robots and can conform to rules and schedules.
Want a super intelligent, kind-hearted child? Homeschool her/him. Other kids will just taint her/him. 💜

They put their fears for their own lives aside to usher the lives of others to safety. They weren’t running at all! They were saving the kids.

Melissa Joan Hart was another of their little angels in disguise to help them through the day. I truly hope the memory of meeting her turns into hours of entertainment watching her work. And just maybe the memory of the terror dissipates into the background of their mind as they get on with their life. She is such a good Mum just like her own Mother. The whole Hart family is a blessing to this crazy world. I couldn’t imagine growing up without the Hart production company as they all played such an important part of my life.
Being on the highway, and seeing a teacher and her students emerge from the bushes, was immediately understood by Melissa and her husband to not be normal. What a sad situation, but nonetheless, they kept the children calm and they inspired the one mother to believe that her child in the school was fine.
Except according to police body cam "the kids are ALL locked down.
So yes there is some footage of a few kids crossing the street from another guy that said he stopped traffic. But the fire station is beside the school.

Clearly, the willful-ignorance of the general public needs no introduction as they have no clue that what we saw was a confirmed police training exercise that went live in the media. We've only been subjected to this scripted gun control propaganda for the past 16 years ever since Obama was selected. In fact, ALL these so-called 'mass sh00tings' have been nothing but DHS-required drills,....and they'll pull the same stunt again at a school, a public event, a bar, a synagogue, a church,......sounds very familiar to all the staged crap we've seen before. This was such a raw and honest telling of her experience. Never once did Melissa bring it back to her or try to make herself sound like a hero. You can visibly see and hear in her voice how much this shook her up and how difficult it was to stay strong for those kids she helped. Im from CT and I remember Sandy Hook so vividly. Its so heartbreaking to see this continue to happen almost on the daily in our nation.

I bet she made a huge difference just being there for people and helping the kids to be and to feel safe. She is such a good and caring woman. I bet she's a good mom too. She was effected by sandy hook, the school in Nashville didn’t force mask children so her son brought Covid home, her vax failed and she almost died two years ago of Covid. She can’t get a break

It is absolutely TERRIFYING to send your children to school these days and I cannot BELIEVE any human would ever harm little babies. Small helpless children. The evil walking this earth these days is UNBELIEVABLE AND TRAGIC ISNT EVEN THE WORD.

I can't imagine anyone having to go through something like this in even a tangential way once, let alone multiple times, but listening to her tell the story I do wonder if part of the reason is because due to her faith and kindness and ability to think and act in crisis situations perhaps this part of these stories is a blessing from God sending someone who has that faith and kindness and strength to help out in difficult situations.
Ive always loved her and this makes me love her even more. It’s amazing to see how she didn’t care about anything else but just trying to make the situation better in any way possible.
You can tell she is down to earth person willing to help no matter her status. Rest In Peace all those lives lost in this. 😢

Clarissa Explains it All is right here with us. She was who I came home to see on TV every day from my school and now she’s a mom doing the mom things I’m doing now with a teenager myself. I’m just so glad she decided to share her experience. Maybe this will touch some hardened hearts and work for the good of our society.
I remember her too growing up (class of 2000) it is crazy how she was passing through and was able to help. I''m on the fence about God these days but either way God bless her.

@Brittany Levinson I had almost forgotten the Clarissa Explains It All character played by Melissa J. H. She was like the pretty girl in school that was becoming prettier with every passing week and month and more than willing to be a friend but would refuse to be your girlfriend because she probably was focused on getting accepted at her preferred college than having her own boyfriend, at least before college. Still though, a pleasant surprise to see Melissa was coincidentally at this scene and offer her account of it.
Such a caring person. She is a blessing and her sharing this doesn't seem to come from a place of celebrate but humanity.
And she was able to clearly and creatively explain it all to these kids as to why they had to escape that hell hole.
So grateful for praying moms.❤️
This is horrific!! I wasn’t even there and it gives me ptsd …I can’t imagine what they are all going through 💔 😪. So glad she was there to help get them to safety 💜 prayers for the victims and their families 🙏🏼
As someone who has a loved one that suffers from PTSD, and works with first responders affected by it, please don't use that term lightly.
@@DevonRexLady I agree. I rolled my eyes, of course, because the entire internet is over dramatic, throws out diagnosises and has such a victim mentality. Truly it didn't surprise me.. but annoyed me.
Following the shooting and details in real time.. I am f*cking angry! I am angry that someone could be do selfish, to plan to attack an elementary school. If that school, and Christianity, resulted in her traumas.. those children were not the source of her pain. The body cam footage gave me chills! And I don't use that expression to exaggerate. The officers were so honorable and they ran head on, not knowing what to expect. I hope the killer rots in hell.
Putting my 4 yr old to bed Monday night I felt truly empty, knowing my kid made it home from school.. and 3 families will never get a chance to do bed time routine again.
I am hurt and empathetic for the families and victims. But I certainly do not have PTSD from watching through a screen.

@@DevonRexLady I have PTSD and I'm not offended by the comment. I think a lot of people are being horribly affected by these school shootings and other shootings. Especially if you have children. When my older children were in school I didn't once think wow if I send my kid to school today they might be shot. Now I have a 3 yr old and I'm dreading sending her to school or letting her go to the mall or whatever. I'm pretty sure gun violence against children is starting to make it's way to the top of the list for child deaths in the US. I can see why parents are traumatized at this point.
@@Shellyshocked That's ok for you, but likely not most. I also find it offensive when people say they "got PTSD" or "are panicking" colloquially. Panic and PTSD have landed me in the hospital numerous times and both are absolutely dreadful.

If my kids were still in school I just don’t think I could send them back. I did homeschool my youngest for 2 years, but it’s probably what I would’ve done with all of mine today if they were still in school. We must protect the children. It’s this and SA and just a broken world we live in. 💔

When I was in high school Sandy Hook shooting happened, and then another one. When I graduated, I thought now I don't have to worry about school shootings, but now I have kids and now I'm worried about them so many keep happening
Well I live in Nashville and had been considering putting my kids in private school next year as an alternative to homeschool.
My girl’s current school always has a police cruiser on site. Today they had the police car in the center of the school yard…just to make people aware there is a major police presence there. It made me feel better, but we never know…😢
I would not send them to school for sure!
I thank god every day my daughter is home schooling her children ! No bullying, kids get a real education and there safe !
