I love the thrifting in Minnesota SO much. In Florida we don’t have nearly as many vintage goodies. All the older people get rid of their good stuff before they move down here to retire.
Oh that makes sense! And we are getting it all before they move to Arizona (that’s where a lot of people from here retire to!)
He was holding a little banner that said Merry Christmas, the banner was on a wood stick like a toothpick or those little paper parasols for drinks.

Stoha from Germany was a company known for sugar sprinklers made from glass with a colorful top (especially the orange one from the 70s). The penguin you saw is a creamer from the 80s. They also produced salt and pepper shakers in the same design. 🐧 Black and white was the most common but they were also available in other colors (yellow, blue, red).
You could put a little bottle brush tree in between his open arms.

My picture was in Look magazine in Dec 1969. Princess Grace was on the cover. I was a student nurse at CHOP( children’s Hosp of Philadelphia). Look magazine brought a Vietnamese boy over here, and he had open heart surgery. They did a big article about it.

Great finds! The deer and the Holt Howard candle hugger (the hugger was manufactured in 1958, btw) are adorable. You could always snip off the end of a tiny Christmas tree branch and stick it in the hole in the Santa’s hand. The pretty plate would look great in the middle of your Easter table with a vase of flowers or a potted plant on it.

Great haul. I use ashtrays in my sewing/craft room. I rest my glue gun in one and quilting clips in another.

Hi! It was originally a fire pit cover, but I’ve used it to protect seedlings from bunnies when the seedlings are small.

Pysanka is the name of the eggs.they used beeswax. I think they were polish.

Those eggs you’re talking about were called batik eggs I believe. We made them in a college art class. 😊
Seeing the old TVs made me remember ones where you put money in a box at the back. We never had one not sure how it worked whether it was rental for the TV. I suppose someone must have had to come and empty it. I'd forgotten all about them. How times have changed. Good luck with the job hunting.
I’m not sure the pattern name, but I have 4 coordinating plates the same as the teapots! And then I saw a platter in the same pattern today at Goodwill! Good luck in your job search!

I was at an estate sale yesterday and I bought a few bottle brush trees for half off...it was a total score for vintage Christmas.
The plate you could use for under a plant to sit on til next Easter. That’s what I do . I switch out the plates for the season/ Holiday.
Is it a spoon rest? ….i use mine for a used tea bag 😊 very cute tho whatever you use it for!

Hi Nicole, you sure found several nice things while out thrifting. I totally love the vintage christmas deer, garden gnome and fairy tea lite house.
I wish my thrift store prices where nice. So so expensive. They are even pricing chipped items at a high price.
Oh that is a bummer! Some of our stores are like that, but I just don’t go into those! Fortunately, we have many thrift stores so I have options.
Maybe the "gnome" will scare away the hungry bunnies!!

Nicole I don’t know if you’ve ever used them, but Command Strips are fantastic for hanging things like the glass teapot trivet. Having a tile backsplash I use them frequently and nothing has ever fallen off! (Makes it really easy for me to switch to holiday decor as well!) 😊

I purchased a buffet like that in The-Sale-Of-Sales as it was coined in Mpls for 90.00! It had been furnished apartments that the city was going to tare down. Me my husband, and my friend bought many furniture items for very little cash we had a fantastic day rummaging😄👍🏽
