Buckethead is scary good. I don't believe in anything but hard work and practice. This is YEARS and DECADES of playing. Dude has 435 studio albums?!?! HOW???? Crazy!
@@salvaariv2943 To be specific, he has 542 pikes, but over 100 of them released in the past 9 months or so were compilations of live recordings. But then he has another 30-50 albums prior to starting the pike series so I'd say that 435 studio albums is pretty accurate. Honestly, I'm not sure anyone even knows exactly how many he's made. The dude is insanely prolific!
I love seeing people experience buckethead for the first time. He is so incredibly skilled and passionate. His albums "Electric Tears" and "Crime Slunk Scene" changed the way I look at guitar. Truly one of a kind
I don't even know what a goat means or is. I hear it from time to time. I'm sure a goat as you would call doesn't even come close to Jason let alone Brian.. he is a living legend that. Another words it would literally take the world 500+ years to even catch up to his unique talent.. definitely won't see another Brian Carol ever again.. I can agree. Those who listen to his music. You have been blessed by his greatness.
@@DreadKyller ahhh ok, thanks makes sense. Always wondered what people mean when they normally say it in a game. I definitely agree he's a goat now. Just makes me laugh because you would assume your referring too the animal 😂..
I’ve heard nearly every guitarist out there you can find, I rank Buckethead as the GOAT. No one else has his combination of technical skill, creativity, heart, and ability to translate emotion into music. He’s created some of the best music without lyrics ever made hands down
Brian Patrick Carroll.....aka Buckethead, wants no notoriety personally, but instead wants the music to speak to you.....hence the bucket to hide his identity. Welcome to Buckethead Land my friend!! Your journey has just begun and will never end......promise❤
Buckethead cannot be ranked. He is at a whole other level. His guitar playing is his voice. His music is beautiful and his talents are beyond anything I have ever heard. There is so many songs he has written. Look at all his Pike albums. There is well over 500 of them. Beautifully written music by an extremenly good person. There is the story of the Bucket and how he came to be Buckethead. Thanks for sharing your videos and thoughts on him. He is the reason I started playing again and you can clearly see why!
Where do we rank him at? He's the GOAT hands down. There are some other extremely talented guitarists out there who have similar technical skills, but none of them have the compositional skills and insane productivity to go with it. Once you start exploring his catalog, you'll begin to understand. He's truly a gift to mankind.
More Buckethead reactions on RUclips please. This is the most underrated Artist in our Time. A brilliant Guitar player but even more an outstanding Composer. Sorry for my bad english I Am from Germany.
100% agree. Every serious guitarist knows Buckethead and how incredibly skilled he is with the instrument, but he doesn't get nearly enough credit for his compositional skills. Modern day Beethoven-Mozart-Bach rolled into one!
He has severe anxiety and stage fright that's why he wears the bucket, its his way of being able to go up ons tage in front of thousands of people and give these unforgettable perfomences. pretty cool imo he's incredible.
Love seeing someone discover Buckethead all these years later. He's an absolute virtuoso on the guitar. I'm honestly glad he never achieved anything other than a "cult following" because it gave us all the magic he blessed us with.
Bucket Head use to play in a band called "Deli Creeps" the lead singer's name is Maximum Bob (Robert Barnum) he has a unbelievable voice! Definitely worth listening to
Buckie is just in his own realm. Calling him a guitarist is almost doing him a disservice because of just how emotive and creative he is with the instrument. Like he uses his guitar as a vocal line. It sings. When he rips those fast bits, they're not just there to show off. They actually fit the song. Great reaction btw!
4:30 It's a "pick slide"... created by using the edge of the pick at a 90 degree angle and sliding/grinding it over the windings on the top string(s). He has a pretty serious delay on it as well. Good Video!
All I know is this: In my little corner of the world this dude tells stories and evokes emotions through that guitar. Some amp me up for the gym while others really hit home in the feels. React or not to BH but do yourself a favor and really look at this guy's music, bucket, mask and all.
Buckethead shows are some of the most fun concerts out there, i saw him in 2010 and he handed out a bunch of barbie dolls and toys to people and did a whole bit where he did the robot and used nunchucks just so much at one show. Dude also has alien like hands in person his hands are built for guitar just super long fingers.
I love your reaction. I think that's how everyone feels the first time. You should check out his acoustic stuff. Healing inside outside every side. Thanks for the video. It was fun.
There's a japanese girl that can play like him . Her name is HaL - Ca of the group Asterism . Bucket hear her play and was so pressed , that he played a couple of songs on their album . Check her out .
Brian Carroll aka Buckethead got the idea of his iconic image many years ago when he was young. Brian was watching one of many sequels of original Halloween with the famous killer, Michael Myers while eating a bucket of KFC Chicken. Brian went to local shop for white mask of Michael Myers. By the way, mask is created by the mold of Captain Kirk aka William Shatner. With bucket and mask, Brian created his famous alter ego.
I loved how your emotions and experience with this song was so genuine and how much you seemed to enjoy his performance. And that is exactly what music is for.
I'm glad you young people are getting into real music so you can hear what you been missing, Buckethead is a genius as you can hear with your own ears his background instruments are his own invention in other words he a one-man show. In 1969-70 Jimi Hendrix at Filmore East performed Machine gun (Band of Gypsys) no human ear had every heard such sounds until that year.
I believe the reason why this is the most emotional version of this song is because this was the same version he never got to show his grandmother who bought him his first guitar before she passed on. Brian is definitely by far the most unique and worlds greatest guitarists of all time.
@@1scorpiogem yeah I thought it was his grandmother instead it was his aunt Suzie and not his grandmother.. his first guitar ever owned he did actually record without a buckethead mask. If anyone doesn't know that. I believe it was a blue karma guitar.
@mrhyde119 it would be even wonderful if I could make it in fortnite using the music notes. Sadly there are no tabs on the 2012-16 live version. I forgot which one. But one of them is much better than all the versions of soothsayer he did.. not sure if it was this one or not.. I know the best version has Johnny rocket or whatever that old cartoon was called Playing on screen in the background..
Think about it , when the show is over he takes off the mask & the bucket , ties his hair back , puts on a different shirt and a jacket with a hat and walks right past everybody out the front door and doesn't get bothered by anyone. As brilliant as his music.
Buckethead is tied with David Gilmour, as my favorite guitarist. I've never seen anyone with that level of technical ability, that can also be that expressive. He is one of a kind. Soothsayer is a great track, but I've always preferred Nottingham Lace for introducing people to his shred ability and anything off the album Colma for sweet melodies and textures. To experience the range he is capable of, get a hold of Enter the Chicken.
