In my little corner of this world he is the greatest guitarist at this point in history.
seconded
He is definitely amazing
that mindset of ''the greatest'' and ''the fastest'' ran out of steam in the late 70's....unplug him and lets see how he goes with out the electricity..
@@mikedemike5393 all due respect, he has lots of great acoustic material. give the guy a chance and youll see what i mean
@@mikedemike5393 - its an opinion, nothing more....
He plays guitar. He wears a bucket. He is on youtube. No one can deny this.
😂😂😂 all facts
One of his best. It’s such a dynamic track
Absolutely!
Nobody in the same league as Bucket. Our Mozart, with endless creativity
Yup, just a bucket, a boy, and his guitar. Allegedly, one of the fastest shredders of all time. He literally has over 600 recordings or pikes, most sounding like this. Back some years ago, I listened to most of them (maybe some 300 at the time), and I was not disappointed. He's also performed with a lot of other artists like Les Claypool (Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains) even Viggo Mortensen. You've got more than a rabbit hole here, more like a bottomless pit.
Woah. What did he do with Viggo?
@SightAfterDark he made music for twisted metal as well. The whole gimmick is he's a robot, born in a coop raised by chickens because he's shy. Robots don't talk, and he claims he needs the bucket and mask to get over stage fright, too. Buckethead really is on another level of guitar playing.
He had like 200-300 albums out before the pike series. He's pretty close to 1000 albums by now I think.
@@XYz-vy7tr That's a bit of an exaggeration. I think he had several dozen albums before the pike series. His pike series is currently in the 660+ range, but approximately 200 of those were just compilations of live recordings. So I think his total collection of original albums is somewhere close to 500. Still a mind-boggling amount of great music.
buckethead is great... hes got a ton of music.. for some good contrast check out blue slide or dawn appears (album version) or mt. shasta. guy can tell stories and stir emotions all without saying a word...and obviously melt faces!
Thanks Bob!
Mount Shasta and Blue Slide are both incredibly beautiful. I get mildly annoyed when people talk about him being a great "shredder". Yeah, he can shred, but he's so much more than that. Brilliant composer who can do anything with that instrument!
Love to see you guys do more Buckethead! Welcome to Bucketheadland and Soothsayer to start. There's some great live vids with him doing nunchucks and robot.
Hell yeah! Buckethead is awesome!
There are no other musicians he is a one man show
Amazing!
@@SightAfterDark To be fair, although he didn't have live musicians in this show, he does play with some pals under the name Praxis.
Love Buckethead he is awesome get to see him in September whoo!!!!
That’s awesome!
His stuff with Deli Creeps is classic
Thanks!
My daughter is a big Buckethead fan. She also loves Jason Becker.
Nice! Shoutout to them both. Greeting from Brooklyn!
In an interview he said he was looking for a stage look and one night while eating a bucket of KFC he looks at the bucket and decides to put it on and he said to himself This is the look!
Lol just like that
He doesn't peacock on stage...He robots!
LOL
@@SightAfterDark I'm not even lying. Robot dancing is part of his act! ruclips.net/video/m7nAnDTbQy0/видео.html
Oh, and num-chuks too.
Lmao wow good for him
He's not just a bucket
😂 he’s also a head
Listened to a good amount of Buckethead but never explored on my own. He is good, though, I know that much.
Absolutely
You really should explore his massive catalog. He has an unbelievable amount of great music. Between all of my Buckethead playlists, I've got nearly 400 tracks, and those are just the ones that I really like. He has over 3000 tracks in total. Just insane!
Love Buckethead..listen to him a lot...lol think that's the show with no actual drummer there!
Check out Tina S , an incredible female Guitarist . Well best I've ever seen !
I have many Buckethead videos saved, all you need to know about Brian/ Buckethead !! Btw.
Natternet is a great channel for Buckethead content.
Thanks! We’ve actually reacted to Tina S before. She is amazing!
Only show I have been to where there was no mike onstage. There are no other musicians.
The bass and drums
are tracks.
Oh! That’s wild
Its just him amd an Ipod on this tour.
Gotcha. Does he speak to the crowd ever?
@SightAfterDark
Never. There's a podcast called coming alive that he opens up on and one song from way early where you hear him sing as a teenager I believe.
Interesting! Thanks for the knowledge!
React Buckethead jordan live at culture room
Thanks!
This isn't even a good performance from him btw. That guy is 1000x better then slash. He is a sweet deep dive too.
Looking forward to hearing more!
If you think wearing a bucket on your head is funny, comedians must have the easiest life ever in the USA
Has ability but unfortunately the bucket has more imagination than he does. A poor mans Vai and Vai is hardly a standard bearer these days.
wonder where his career would be without the KFC bucket on his head....with the other thousand players.
@@mikedemike5393 Exactly my point! The yanks like gimmicks though 😆
@@paulfenwick8767 You meAn that substance alone will not be enough...who are these people.?
@@mikedemike5393 lol. In this case, no substance either.
when I was 15 my brother took me to see Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass who were aloone on stage at the Sydney Opera house.....you mean that there were no clowns that were meant to come on stage and start juggling and lighting pyrotechs...you mean I complained for nothing?
