Good to know! We did mention that a mask and bucket would be beneficial for those with anxiety. Guess we were right! Good that he was able to overcome it and perform. :-)
Dude's 6'5" or something like that, he doesn't need shtik to get noticed. He suffers from anxiety, and the mask puts a wall between him and whatever makes him anxious. Great reaction video, guys!!
Brian says he never learned and scales. He said he was just too lazy to learn them. He says he just plays what sounds cool. He has been playing a long time. His main teacher the late Pebber Brown has instructional videos here on yt. Pebber was too cool. You will get amazingly fast watching just the one video of Pebber's on sarod picking...... Hint hint....
He has over 300 albums. At times he would release one a day. He plays so many genres and he has great emotions in his compositions. He played with many artists, wrote music for games and movies and his name is Brian Patrick Caroll
Stop spreading false information. If you're that into Buckethead, you should've known that he was the one that came up with the idea. He was eating a bucket of chickenwings and put the bucket on his head with his mask and looked in the mirror. That's when he became buckethead...
"Is there good music behind it? Can he play?" 400+ self written, recorded and produced albums, over 50 collaborations... I think it's safe to say that he can play.
I’m sure that Buckethead’s heavy use of chord progression was taught to him by Paul Gilbert, who was his guitar lessons teacher when BH was in his teens
Whenever a guitarist improvises for an entire song, some people call it self indulgent. We happen to love guitar jamming, so we were mostly joking about the term. We "self indulge" ourselves for hours! 🤟🤟🤟
@@UnhingedReactions If you get a chance to see him live please fo. I've been to thousands of shows in my old age and have never seen someone play so effortlessly.
Ok well now you have to watch him play "Jordan" live at the culture room. A real showcase of his skills, and will make a fantastic reactio! Btw, great channel boys....subscribed
buckethead has 300+ albums... hes one crazy son of a bitch... but that boy can play everything and ANYTHING .. check out colma cuz that is sweet as fuck
buckethead is the best guitarist to ever hold a guitar, not one person can come close to him in terms of technical ability. i suggest watching buckethead - jordan.
Nice Zeppelin tshirt! Studio version of this track is still the best by a long way. The structure and licks are stunning and very emotional (subject matter for the track i understand is was his Aunt who gave him his first guitar and she died... he wrote this for her). One of the last licks makes the guitar sound like it is literally crying/tears are coming from it . My wife thinks I am joking but i seriously want Soothsayer to be played at my funeral!
Just consider this guys........people come to see Bucket shred. His 3-notes-per-string scales and alternative picking are (if we dare say) perfect? Yup, Paul Gilbert was his teacher and many of Bucket's shapes are similar.....or even the same. But.....who else can give us this? Not Malmstein's arpeggios, not Zakk's sweeps, not Slash's sausage fingers.....Guys, a warning....the deeper you go into Bucket's mind and compositions, the more you're life will change forever. This was what Zappa tried to do, but he was sloppy and more deitized than great. Some where among Buckethead's 300+ albums is something that speaks to you, something that tears your Soul out, something that makes you question your eyes and ears, something that will make you extremely envious.......before winning you over....or planting a seed for YOU. We've spent a lot of damn time dismissing "non-mainstream" artists, and then discovering the cornerstone value of their concepts decades later. The gripe has always been....."if only we know he/she was so influential, what would we not give to interact with that person now." Well, his name is Brian Carroll, he lives near Disney Land.........interact!
And Courage! Is Bucket the Idiot Savant so many think he is......no, one only has to hear him talk music or hear 10 different presentations of a pike before you realize there is runaway, but controlled, creation at work. How lucky we are to explore one-such.
Want insane skills with unreal musicianship (not self-indulgent!)? Search out one of Buckethead's mentors, Shawn Lane. Consummate Musician. Eric Johnson, Paul Gilbert, Guthrie Govan- all huge fans of Shawn.
No, it ended up being Chris Impellitteri. Just an old 80s Banger who thrived on playing scales over and over again as fast as possible. Thanks for watching 🤘
To be honest, I don't think this is the best live version of Soothsayer 🤷🏻♂️ I really do prefer this one : ruclips.net/video/dyQJH615KwA/видео.html 👌🏻🤩
it's not a gimmick. He has social anxiety and the bucket and mask is what allowed him to overcome it and go out on stage.
He's a huge horror fan as well. It's just buckethead being himself
Good to know! We did mention that a mask and bucket would be beneficial for those with anxiety. Guess we were right! Good that he was able to overcome it and perform. :-)
I know a thing or two about wearing a mask... 🤘
@@UnhingedReactions good, you should be wearing one considering the times we find ourselves in

buckethead - jordan live at the culture room
Perfection has a name, and that name is Buckethead
🙏
One of the few guitarists with a very distinctive style. I like his music very much.
I don´t know about that. He´s great, but his style is very simple (in shredder terms), and very similar to Paul Gilbert.
Soothsayer is a gate way composition. He is way more than a musician. Greatest compositions ever written under the blue sky

Subscribed. He is my favourite artist of all time. I don’t listen to anything else since I discovered his magic.
And you subscribed..?? I recommend you watch the discussion after the reaction...
@@gabrielp9646, sure. I don’t take their comments to heart. I just appreciated that they gave it a listen.
Listen to Earth Heals Herself from Buckethead. It`s a beautiful Jazz Fusion track that shows his completely different side.
He played for guns and roses for 4 years
Probably not the best version of this you could have watched. This was a fairly tame no frills version.
Sometimes that's the best way to go just to be able to focus on his playing. On the other hand, I agree! Thanks for watching 🤘
I've seen him live multiple times, and he never disappoints!
He has over 300 albums. At times he would release one a day. He plays so many genres and he has great emotions in his compositions. He played with many artists, wrote music for games and movies and his name is Brian Patrick Caroll
Buckethead is the GREATEST!!!!!!!
Buckethead is extremely shy.
He was to shy to play an a friend suggested him wear a mask an he liked the idea😁
Stop spreading false information. If you're that into Buckethead, you should've known that he was the one that came up with the idea. He was eating a bucket of chickenwings and put the bucket on his head with his mask and looked in the mirror. That's when he became buckethead...

Just didn't feel like finishing the the story. But thank you
For doing it for me

BH has studied with Johnny Fortune, Pebber Brown, Paulo Gilberto and to an extent, Shawn Lane
@@neilpatrickhairless lol I guess I'm not the only one calling him Paulo Gilberto.
Have a listen to his track called Glacier. Absolutely phenomenal.
Dude has released over 300 albums and clearly isn't in it for the money, so self indulgent I heavily disagree with.

I'm not a guitar player but it appears this guy can play with a bucket on his head or standing on it.

This man plays with his Soul at his Fingertips .🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Please do more bucket head hes my favourite
Hate to say it, but you can’t be much a musician if you don’t know who buckethead is lol
You forgot to mention he played in place of Slash for Guns & Roses while slash was doing his solo stuff! For 4 years!
Listen to his live jam with him and his band mate Brain. It should be called Buckethead an Brian jam. You won’t be disappointed
Pbs Buckethead
I had the original version of that Zep shirt. Saw them live at the LA Forum in 1977.

good choice. Here you can see and hear his unique qualities!
@@adi27678 paul gilbert?! just as good. he taught buckethead for a year whe he was young.
of course great too! i think there are no GOATs in art. it depends on, if you like their style....
This guy can calm any storm. BUCKETHEAD!!!
Also Ozzy Ozborn offered him a job but bucket refused to take off the mask!!! And that was a deal breaker!
Does he have a B bender?

This is the worst live version, should have done live @ the Gothic 2012
The audio on this version is trash

Yeah we've found much better versions since, but it's still great!

This is probably my least favorite soothsayer live version lol other ones are way better
Siege Engine live is my favorite. This is one of my least favorite versions of Soothsayer, to much other BS going on onstage.
Bucket is the goat...
He is amazing!
2/29/1996
Worst version out there
I see that now but that was the version we were given to react to. Still love it though! Buckethead rocks!
