the actual story around this boss is such a mindfuck lol, we're fighting Alexander inside Alexander, where he summons himself to protect him, whilst we go back in time to save ourselves from the cutscene before. yep. did I miss anything?
If I’m remembering right, Alexander sends you back so you can save yourself so you can proceed to the chain of events that leads to Alexander’s creation
Is Alexander saving the world from Alexander before Alexander summons himself by time traveling and avoiding the use of Alexamder
Basically yes, Alexander's purpose was to create a utopia and his ability to travel and see through time made him realise that no utopia can exist while he lives.
My character was named Alexander.
Alexander fought Alexander inside future Alexander while fighting past Alexander to beat Future Alexander to prevent Alexander to die at the hands of past Alexander.
And a cat.

I tried singing along with the lyrics just now. not to brag, but I think I did fairly well for my first try.
My advice: Ditch like half the content of each line. It's not possible to sing every single word, so I personally omit parts of the fast lines when trying to sing this. "Going rotten till they solve them" becomes "going rotten t-solve em".

I think it's because for the really fast parts, he only says enough of the word to understand what it is instead of the whole word, if that makes sense.

Reminds me of my first time actually using Limit Break 3 for tank.
I remember screaming in awe as I did for the first time because it just felt so cool...
It's such a liberating feeling and I'd go as far as to say is a rite of passage for tanking.
I honestly love how some bosses in raids/Trials not only require certain limit breaks to survive mechanics but do so in a way that feels so incredibly thematic, epic and engaging, not just a random raid wipe mechanic of "do this thing at this time or everyone dies". Like Bahamut Prime's Terra Flare or a similar mechanic being Susanoo's Blade's Shadow where the Tank does a QTE where they grab his incoming sword swing and struggle with him. Makes the fights feel so much more dynamic.
I'm so glad I randomly decided to tank the raid story as a whole; I got to maintank too when I got here and being told by the group that we need the tank to LB3, god was it glorious.
That transition and the need for the tank to step in for the full fight is so DAMN GOOD
The levels of dopamine was like the shiva heel click all over again.

I have restarted the song five times trying to hear the second part of the first line which I have no doubt is in there, but I keep trying anyways. The speed of these lyrics are simply mind-boggling.

I actually prefer it that way. When the vocals are too clear and easy to understand I find it distracting, my brain can't help but focus on them and I start missing things in the fight

It makes sense when you consider that Alexander MIGHT be the most powerful Primal we've encountered so far. Even though he is so powerful, he's still forced to follow along with the wishes/desires of those who summoned him. However, he realized that his continued presence would inevitably kill his summoners, which is why he orchestrated a time loop in order to ensure that he didn't kill everyone.

Just did this raid earlier as a WAR, and I have to say, this whole experience has made me love Alexander as a whole even more now. Got the privilege to pop LB3 for the first time too. I cant wait to see what awaits me in Stormblood, and Shadowbringers and Endwalker.
I haven’t gotten to endwalker yet, but you’re definitely going to love what awaits you in the future. Those trials and raids are fun and the quality only ever goes up.
@@obviouslykaleb7998 ive definotely enjoyed Stormblood so far! I made it to the last section of the expansion, The Lochs and was about to finish it when my PC decided to die on me. Hopefully soon I get it fixed and can start my journey again towards the end.

If you set it to .75x speed it actually makes stuff sound much more intelligible
my fave part is when he freezes time and the music slows down, so all you hear is the ticking of a clock.
I always worry if it's counting down to my escape or death to the next attack. But the music keeps me pump to try harder!

Man I got into the game a couple of months ago, and this raid series made me pretty hype for all the other raids that was added into the game. I just got done with stromblood and about to start the omega one.

@@Andrea.- That's why when after the fight the others ask you if you understand why they got that weird feeling at that time they dodged, you can answer either "I don't know" or something like I can tell you, but you may regret knowing it" and Wedge goes all "uh if even you say that it's better not to know I'm fine not knowing never mind".
What broke me was when I realized you go inside Alexander to fight Alexander, who summons Alexander to help out in the middle of the battle.
I enjoyed this song a lot when the raid first came out and I still enjoy it to this day. Thanks for putting words to the lyrics. Still cant understand a thing that is being said though! Haha! Good work mate.

This brings me back to A12S, my first savage tier in Creator, HW 2015.
The frantic pace of this song, the load of mechanics, the ending dps race to enrage while all the heavy damage and mechs are happening, and this atmosphere / backdrop of a showdown with a God beyond Time and being the final tier fight... "RISE WITH ME RISE WITH ME RISE WITH ME" got me hyped af

Played with a friend for almost a month and sadly I burned out hard during the pre-Heavensward slog so I never got close to this. Holy crap, this track alone makes me want to pick the game back up.

It's from the official CD. People usually don't know what the lyrics are until we get an official source from them, so if you see a lyric video of a song, chances are that it is indeed official (unless it's one of those vids where the person is guessing the lyrics, but those are usually taken down by the uploader once the official ones come out.)

The only fight in the entire game where tank can use lb3 and nobody can get mad, and he still does insane damage to you which is crazy
There are at least 2 others in the story. Thought the one in EW made me sob on how the ridiculous the damage is. XD
The mandatory tank lb3s that i can come up with are:
- the 2 ultima casts in uwu
- the big alexander in both the savage and ultimate versions
- the ultimate cast from the 5.3 trial
- a certain attack in the final endwalker trial
The oy one where it isnt really mandatory but almost impossible without is the first ultima cast of uwu, if you have the buff thwt gives an lb3 back when that party member uses one, you wont wipe instantly, but you need an INSANE amount of mitigation to live, like almost every mitigation you can use in the game at that level

If this isn't near impossible on the harder difficulties on Theatrythem, I'll be dissapointed xD
it's by default on super slow, so i haven't looked at it yet on final bar line. Finding out about the backstory of the fight made the slow triggers make way more sense. I'll edit this when i see it on its hardest difficulty. I already know that it has a supreme difficulty (level 4, the hardest) though.
Edit: it is tied for hardest song with fight on from ff7 according to the in-game difficulties, and it lives up to it. Also, you can take away the slowed triggers in game, and I don't even want to see that mess again.
Even though im reading the lyrics I aint hearing the words while its being sung. It's just that crazy of a song x'D
