You're right, I should've talked less about how the t-shirts fit me and more about the construction and the fabric of each garment. Sorry about that. First time I've made this kind of "review" video, I'll take note for next time!
I would love to see a remake of this video on durability and longevity of these tshirts! See if they lose some softness or anything after a few months of wear and washes!
I can give you an update right now: - The Uniqlo t-shirts I've worn for several years and they're still in good condition, with maybe a slight loss of softness - The Asket t-shirts I've washed several times and they're in perfect condition, no loss of softness as of now The other brands I returned.
I own a couple uniqlos in hard colours. They age decently but they don't fit amazingly. I have some shirts from Scotch and Soda and the fit difference is glaring, but they price between 4x to 8x as much
It's funny 'cause I keep searching for the same topic through the internet over and over again every two or three months trying to find The Best White T-Shirt and I've tried around 5 or 7 different brands until I got here... I live in Mexico City and it's a pain in the ass finding something quite good (not to mention most of the brands you mentioned doesn't have retailers in here and ordering online is an odyssey) but after watching this video I'm convinced about trying the Uniqlo and the Asket ones. Thank you so much for the video and I hope your channel hits at least 100k in the next month... you totally deserve it!

For me, I love the Uniqlo U Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt. Feels heavy just the way I like, i am not from the state, so I'm not sure about the price, but here in Japan costs 1000 yen which is equivalent to 9us dollars? And I think it's the best T-Shirt for the price! Fits good, feels good, many varieties of colours, and very reasonable price!! Love the product, it is the go to T-Shirt for me👌👌

We are same height, weight and build 😂 so this is very useful video for me haha, I’ll definitely be trying Uniqlo! And I def feel for you with finding clothing that fits, short slender guys don’t get much love
Great video! As someone who is also your height, It has been awful finding a great fitting white t-shirt. I went custom and used Son of a Tailor. Its literally the best! If you buy 5 tees, its a great deal
Thank you! Much love and happy NY 😊 PS: don't hesitate to reach out to me (on RUclips or Instagram) if you have video ideas that you'd really like to see.
I'm so happy that i stumbled on this channel. Really love your style bro! I'm five foot six so shopping for tshirts is a hassle for me. Lately I started taking them to a tailor to fix the lengths
Before i watch the video, i have to say, I have one DKNY white tee that my wife bought from Marshalls probably 15 years ago, that is the best quality I've ever seen. It is thin as paper but strong and soft...really hope to find more of them.
Thank you for taking the time to post this content. Uniqlo is awesome! would have never stumbled across it with out your very useful video, have been stuck between HnM and the high end Tees.
Maybe White shirt next? I have been searching for one. I am about the same size as you and COS fits exactly that! Funny, felt like looking at a mirror.
Great video Tim I personally love the Uniqlo Supima t-shirt because it just feels amazing. Ive come across Asket and have been thinking about purchasing a shirt for a while, it’s just hard to justify spending that much when I can buy multiple Supima shirts. Might have to do it after watching this video.
Thank you Solomon! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊 I hear you, Asket is definitely more expensive but worth it if you want that improved quality of the fabric. Construction wise the Uniqlo supima cotton actually holds up nicely from past experience, but Asket uses higher quality cotton.
I love this idea, but I actually have lots of white/black t shirts for different uses. Uniqlo for example has their airism and heattech (summer and winter) and then you've got your oversize or drop shoulder for when you're wearing it as the only layer, and then more fitted tees for when it's to go under a dress shirt or jumper etc etc. So really it's hard to make a video like this
Oh yeah for sure, I also have different t-shirts for different uses, I don't think there's a one-size-fits-all in terms of t-shirts. I just wanted to make this video because the storyline of "hunting for the perfect t-shirt" was appealing to me, and I wanted to see what I could make out of it.
Try Muji, so far best quality I've found in shirts. Good texture, not too thick or too thin. Doesn't stretch after washing. I find shirts from Uniqlo tend to fray or loose their form around the neck after a few washes. :(
I agree Uniqlo makes the best fitting cheap t shirts, like u said they do wear our quick but u can just start using that as a gym shirt then buy a new one since they’re so cheap haha. I actually like when the wear out and break in too, Uniqlo tees break in nice, gets comfier and love the faded look on black tees imo
My go to basic white T is from Topman. It has been my all-time staple for more than 10 years! But I might give COS a try! It looks dope on you (in my opinion!)
Great video!! Like you said, fit really depends on each person. So this doesnt help everyone but I might follow you and do the same. Buy like 10 tee and return the ones i dont like
I'm just a bit shorter than you, I can't find anything better than Uniqlo for my builds, I'm happy to buy extras for the year to achieve the best aesthetic.
From the video it does look like the one that fits you best is the Uniqlo. One of the main issues I find with t-shirts is the unnecessarily huge neck hole, ie. the H&M one @ 4:00. I myself got a Uniqlo yesterday, size XL fits me pretty much perfectly (6' 1", 212 pounds).
Uniqlo supima tees are definitely my go-to for the price/quality/fit you get. I feel you with the huge neckline! That or the unnecessarily tight neckline too.

The nicest plain white tee I have is from Dries van Noten, but for all the people with your build, Japanese denim brands like Samurai, Full count denim and Momotaro would be worth considering. They do some ridiculously high quality, super thick and heavy weight basic tees that are basically cut to your body shape
pro club is amazing..one think i cannot accept is the crew neck collars that distort over a few washes..trust me, buy one and come back and comment,I am in love with them...they are superior
Great video as usual my man! Knew the asket would win!(Sort of, just didn't fit your body type maybe try xs long or S short?). For me as 6'5" 200lbs L long fits almost perfectly, just to give another example. Hard to beat it at any price, and i have yet to feel or own a better feeling t-shirt. The only ones that might be better is if you go for 3sixteen heavyweight(if you want that type of tshirt) heard it's among the best/the best available and is known for being short. Maybe velva sheen too? Another well reputed brand is Wolf vs Goat, small one man operation but makes some of the best t-shirts money could buy in usual fabrics and colors. Sells out almost instanly. There's also the many Japanese brands like iron heart, buzz rickson etc. if you have Fuck you money. I think some of these brands can be found at decent prices on Japanese yahoo or whatever they use. These brands also makes among the best sweatshirts/flannels etc available as well.
@@TimDessaint I meant to write UNusual fabrics and colors about WvG*. But yea, no personal experience with it, but it seems very reasonably priced too for what you get.
I know it's been 4 years but imo the best white shirt ist the new: "not from Paris madame" from drôle de monsieur, it's oversized but not too much like palm angels, Balenciaga etc... It hast a round crew neck but not too high so it's not going to get wavy (?) around the neck, it's 100% cotton, feels amazingly smooth and doesn't wrinkle after washing, i just love it! Try for yourself, and no I'm not sponsored by them :D
@@TimDessaint why not just Tailor the shirts? or learn to Tailor them yourself. That way you get the perfect fit every time, just look for the best material on a cheaper shirt, get it a size up, and tailor the sides and sleeves to your body.
That's an option, but a time-consuming one I find. I would rather forego the extra time and cost of altering an existing t-shirt in favour of looking for the best fit I can off the rack.
@@TimDessaint it's not time consuming, buy a shirt in a good material, size up, go to a tailor, shouldn't take more than a day even a few hours if they're not busy. If you like it, ask for the dimensions of the shirt. Buy a bunch of "cheaper" shirts in that 10 dollar range, and have them all altered to your preferred dimensions. The alterations also shouldn't be expensive, especially if you're doing a bunch of pieces, should be like $5-10 per shirt, depending on the tailor. Sure it might seem like a few hoops to jump through, but for a few days/hours of investment, you can have the perfect t-shirt for roughly $15-20 each, maybe even cheaper should you build a good relationship with your tailor. Maybe you can even have the tailor make you shirts from scratch, with better fabrics after you've established a good rapport, and know exactly how you want your shirt to fit you.
Great round up, I personally can't really get into white T's (more into grey/navy) but I know the struggle to find one that is weighty and substantial yet well fitting.
@@TimDessaint I have some from Everlane and Uniqlo that I primarily wear, but unfortunately they're just not quite there. Cuts are fine, but material needs to be more substantial. I haven't tried Everlane's thicker T's though.
Thanks for the video! I have the uniqlo and asket in my wardrobe and I am totally satisfied. I am a bit taller than you are though so the length is perfect on me! APC is good but too pricey for a white tee...
I always buy my white tshirts at Forever21 men's section size XS, 'cause 1 they are comfy, 2 they just go down straight (I hate curves), 3 they are a lot cheaper than women's shirt! LOL SA's would always ask me if I'm buying it for my boyfriend. I'm single AF. And I be like, ahhh nope for me actually. I always get weird looks. 😂
Cecilia Joseph true, when it comes to women it seems brands are laughing all the way to the bank... In the name of softness and drape they give us cheaper synthetic materials that are sheer and thin. 😑
Lmao, I'm 5'4" and I wear size medium (Calvin Klein tee)😂 ion kno if it looks good, but I perfer wearing a size bigger bc it feels more comfortable to me.🤧
Anyone who wants quality similar to Uniqlo use Intissimi Uomo, used this brand when visiting family in Italy and I’ve been buying the tops ever since. Supine cotton tees are well priced
Tim, how did the tees fit after a couple of washes? I would think that H&M tees would shrink quite a bit and the more expensive tees would shrink less. I think the Uniqlo was the best bang for the buck. For a good heavyweight similar fit to the Uniqlo try Kirkland tees from Costco or Amazon.
Uniqlo and Asket fit very well after a couple of washes. The worse was Primark, which completely lost its shape. Thank you for the recommendations man! 🙂
If you never brought H&M’s premium cotton t you should definitely pick one up. I don’t think they have these in their stores but at 17$ online and 24$ for the the pique premium t. It is hands down the best feeling looking t shirt I have ever owned. I’ve got more expensive shirts from Ralph Lauren, Dillards and Arnie Paque that don’t match in look and affordability. Give them a try you won’t look back.
Hard to choose but I like that white one the best
I would agree.

I've been lead to believe at 28 years of being alive. there is not such thing as a perfect white t shirt lol. btw I enjoyed the video
Haha a man can dream!
Tim Dessaint maybe by the time I’m 40 lol
Je t’ai découvert avec cette vidéo, et j’ai tout de suite aimé la façon dont tu tournes et montes tes vidéos ! Tu gagnes un abonné 👍🏼 Nice job man
Pretty good looking background btw
Merci beaucoup ! Content qu'elles te plaisent 😊
Very helpful video... subscribed*
Thank you Angel! Welcome to the family 😊
Great round up, I personally can't really get into white T's (more into grey/navy) but I know the struggle to find one that is weighty and substantial yet well fitting.
Thanks Mark! It's a struggle indeed 😅
Have you found a brand to your liking for your grey/navy t-shirts?
@@TimDessaint I have some from Everlane and Uniqlo that I primarily wear, but unfortunately they're just not quite there. Cuts are fine, but material needs to be more substantial. I haven't tried Everlane's thicker T's though.
Good to know! It's a never-ending quest for the perfect tee haha
I like your tattoos
Thank you Dominic!
Thanks for the video! I have the uniqlo and asket in my wardrobe and I am totally satisfied. I am a bit taller than you are though so the length is perfect on me! APC is good but too pricey for a white tee...
Thank you for watching Camille 🙂 The Asket ones must fit you perfectly! I agree with APC being a little too pricey for a white tee.
90s: CLOTHES ARE TOO BIG
NOW: CLOTHES ARE TOO SMALL
Eiichiro Oda Oda get back to your Manga man come on now!
The H&M shirt your wearing is one of my favouate. Have it myself and it's so niece fitting and easy to wear.
Nice! Way too long for me but glad that it fits you 🙂
Definitely ESSNTLS
Lmao, that shit expensive or else how'd you think Jose and his brothers and their families pay fit their nicer cars
My favourite is the COS but the APC looks quite elegant tucked in - I'd wear it out for dinner. For an everyday t-shirt, I'd go with the Uniqlo.
That's exactly how I felt about the APC! One of those tees you can dress up tucked in with a blazer or something.
Hey if it fits it fits! 🙂
I have noticed that guys t-shirts are made with better materials than female t-shirts.
Cecilia Joseph true, when it comes to women it seems brands are laughing all the way to the bank... In the name of softness and drape they give us cheaper synthetic materials that are sheer and thin. 😑
Lmao, I'm 5'4" and I wear size medium (Calvin Klein tee)😂 ion kno if it looks good, but I perfer wearing a size bigger bc it feels more comfortable to me.🤧
Lol what im 5'6 and i wear size XS
Thank you. I’m a girl but this is so useful, I just bought the best basic white tee ever thank you very much
Anyone who wants quality similar to Uniqlo use Intissimi Uomo, used this brand when visiting family in Italy and I’ve been buying the tops ever since.
First video I watched I was like, whoa! Minimalist, stylish and comfy❤
I have tried different brands. Uniqlo & Hanes fit me so well.
Good to hear you've found something to your liking 🙂
U definately deserve mooore subs bro. Luv ur vids!
Thanks man! That means a lot 🙏
i bought the same hnm not the regular one and it was quite transparent indeed.
good review man
I really enjoy and love the chill vibe your channel gives.
Thanks Drei! Much love!
Lacoste white t-shirts. As someone that's your size they fit like a charm, plus at 10 CAD a piece they aren't bad.
Nice! Thanks for the recommendation!
Kirkland Signiture Tee's in black and white are the best I've found, been hearing a few taste makers say "uniqlo" need to try those. (From Costco) btw
Nice! I'll give those a try!
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Based on what I can tell I like Asket lots. However, the price!!
