I have an unbound merino t shirt, which is 100% fine merino wool. I like it quite a lot! it was a bit long so I hemmed it myself, but man the magical qualities of merino stand out. Ive washed it in a machine once since getting it a few months ago and (aside from running the pits under the sink to rub off my deoderant residue) it still smells clean. Its also cool enough for summer. Cool shirt, although probably not as tough as Wool&Prince

3sixteen are still my favorites. Both the heavyweight and Pima tees. Heavy’s fit more like a vintage tee i.e. underwear, which is how I use them, under sweaters, overshirts, and light jackets. Great value for either option at $98 for a 2-pack. As long as you don’t mind the monochromatic color options
You gotta get a Tezomeya t shirt. it might take a couple months to get to you, but it’s worth it. the things they use to dye the shirt make essentially every shirt a 1 of 1. Pomegranate skin, insect gall, palm tree nuts, etc.
Nice to see Pro Club get a shoutout. I used to get their tanks tops 3 for $15, and they were go-to gym shirts/work uniform undershirts. They're a little on the heavy/rough side, but they're cheap and last forever. And they really do hold their shape well.
The real question (for me) is which shirt comes from the factory at the shortest length? Next to collar, length is the second biggest priority for my short self.

I am obsessive about white t-shirts and own almost every possible t-shirt from every category. Easily 100+. I know it seems crazy but the Sunspel Sea Island really is the greatest shirt of all time. The softness and drape is unlike anything else I've tried. It's cost makes it inaccessible to most, which sucks, but the cost is justified. Nothing has compared, and I've tried them all. Other great shirts: Merz B, Warehouse 4601, UES Ramayana, John Elliott Crop, 3sixteen Pima, Bronson. Shirts that I think are overrated/overpriced: Tezomeya, Whitesville, Velva Sheen, Buzz Rickson, Mister Freedom (cut way too long), Reigning Champ, all the other Sunspel non-sea island shirts.
Hate to break it to you but Sunspel Sea Island really isn't the greatest shirt of all time. Stop lying to yourself. I actually know what the greatest shirt of all time is. It's from a Spanish blank manufacturer. Not gonna tell you the name though. Go look for it yourself.

Not all of James Bond's t-shirts. In No Time To Die, Craig wears 2 Orlebar Brown OB-T shirts. The website simply describes them as "super soft cotton." They're also super thin and super nippley.
There’s a fascinating Hong Kong brand called Lee Kung Man. Loopwheeled white t shirts, incredibly soft, smooth and light. Beautiful and almost no presence. You should give it a try!
Bronson sells directly on sites like Taobao as well. I've purchased through them for much cheaper, albeit it was a huge pain and I likely wouldn't do it again. It came out to be somewhere between $10-$15 per shirt (the non-loopwheel, I believe "nonstock" branded) shipped, versus the $25 per shirt as sold on the US facing site. The sizing is way off because they use sizing used in Asia - for example, I'm between a L and XL in US sizing, I had to order XXL in the Bronson.
I’ve tried a few black tshirt brands. The best (for me) is Jockey. Not their undershirt, but their classic tshirt. I feel like Jockey gets overlooked and might be thought of as just underwear.

Interlock seems honestly gorgeous. I have a sample of wool interlock fabric around the same weight and it's unreal. That being said, interesting! I think for me it's probably the extreme bounce/stretch of it when compared to cotton
Great video. Sorry if i missed it, how are you drying your shirts for the shrink test? Helps me better understand how it fits (pun very much intended) into my life.
stefan brandt > sunspel... try it. It doesn't shrink XD. They made a silk t-shirt for $400 for giggles and it looks like th cotton version. That cotton is engineered and carded to be extremely long.
Surprised nobody ever mentions 100% linen t-shirts. I have a couple from Mango and from Intimissimi that I got on sale for ~20€ and can't imagine summers without them. The white ones do not pass the nipple test, but I've given up on that when I discovered how superior they were in warmer weather... even better than linen shirts as they're often looser.
Los Angeles Apparel has been my go to for a while, but I’m curious about these other ones. I live in Brooklyn and can walk to Front Street General Store. I guess I’ll have to check those out in person. Would love a review of technical r-shirts. Been trying to find one for cycling but the sizing is all over the place and the textures are weird.
As a wool lover im glad you included it in the line up ! Ive been very curious of wool&prince . I have a duckworth polaris ahirt ' and considered getting the wool$prince hoodie .
You talked about how Cotton was used due to basically the easiness of it, but the first t shirts were made out of wool and then started to be made out of Cotton sometime later
But, which one is best at getting rid of grease stains or other food stains as I am a messy cook and also a messy eater despite my ongoing best efforts to be less of a slob. I do actually do laundry and yet the stains seem unremovable. Are any of them stain-resistant?
When speaking of white T-Shirts, the reason those stains are so hard to remove is because the shirts have been bleached, which strips the cotton of many of its natural properties including its natural stain resistance. But also, the super-whiteness of the bleach just makes any stain stand out like crazy when compared to natural raw cotton. If you have ecru jeans, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

You should check out the Kith Leonard tee or some of their other blank t shirts. The Leonard is my current favorite shirt
Dude how do you keep these white shirts you’ve worn for years looking so fresh
Great video. Sorry if i missed it, how are you drying your shirts for the shrink test? Helps me better understand how it fits (pun very much intended) into my life.
You need to make a video like this for jeans!
Never heard of pro club??
You need to do this with Japanese jeans. Especially with samurai and Oni jeans
stefan brandt > sunspel...
You should include luxury brand t-shirt like Dior or Gucci into the mix to compare them.
You talked about how Cotton was used due to basically the easiness of it, but the first t shirts were made out of wool and then started to be made out of Cotton sometime later
I know this is a 2-month-old video, but I love stafford for white t shirts
Were they hang dried or machine dried? It makes a big difference in the shrinkage test
Random thought I know it’s not your lane but can we get an everyday carry video of what you use on a normal day
But, which one is best at getting rid of grease stains or other food stains as I am a messy cook and also a messy eater despite my ongoing best efforts to be less of a slob.
Gotta check out Shaka wear. Kinda rough but really nice quality
JC Penny's Stafford Heavy weight Tees are the best bang for the buck!!
