they sound the same because the remake uses the ORIGINAL sound sample library as in the original game

As a 2000 kid who never played these games, seeing all of these comments about nostalgia are so heartwarming. Even without having played it I can feel the community’s love for this :)
I was born in 2000, and these games were my favorite. Sadly, everytime I turned the game off or died, I had to start all over, because I had no memory card

Must not have opened your ears as a kid. They removed a lot, and I mean a lot, of the sound effects from this game. Disappointed in this game.
Man Year of the Dragon was my first Spyro game and the game I played the most.
I didn't have a PS1 growing up so the only time I could play games is when I went over to my cousin's. He had the game and each time I went over I would speedrun the game and get as far as I could before we left. And even though I haven't played this game in over 15+ years I still know it like the back of my hand and seeing it in these glorious visuals is amazing.

It was my first spyro game for some reason I got them from 3-1 instead of 1-3
I played 2,3 and I never played spyro 1

I had the original collectors edition trilogy, where all 3 games came in one case, and all of them had silver and black disc art instead of colored disc art. Same with the crash bandicoot series. I think my ex girlfriend has them now.

I do use my PS2 for the OG Spyro trilogy though
My father has it, but he gave me his PS2 with all of the PS1 and PS2 games a while ago and it was the best present he could ever do to me.

Me I was just playing it yesterday the original trilogy is still fun in it's own right.

AWW kinda hope they kept the majestic tune that would play in the original somewheres around 2:05 , only reason I found myself playing the intro over again💕
they completely changed the atmosphere, when spyro jumped down the hole in the original there was this lovely bit of music that played which gave it a feeling of mystery and adventure. it worked well with where spyro was going being called "the forgotten realms"
I loved that little tune... It was very different and forshadowing what may or may not come.
They also changed the tune when you find an egg. So many liberties taken with this game. It's obvious the devs never played the originals in full.
The remaster has the option to use the original soundtrack, and to turn off the new dynamic music system.

I wish we had more games with this charm, 70% are shooters, 5% are sports, 5% are fighting games, 10% are adventure games, 3% inspired games, and about 7% are racers...

Most games have lost the whimsical feeling that a lot of older titles had. Everything tries to be serious these days.

this is what the game always looked like to me playing as a kid
I didn't realize till now but I liked the fact that in the originals you can see spyro always land on the ground when traveling between portals but here he just spawns into the level.
That Only happened in the first game, he's always just spawned into levels in 2 and 3. And the landing is in the reignited version of Spyro 1
@@ChrisOwen96 True. It has been a long time since i've played the original games so i remembered him flying into all the levels aside from the second game since those had stage cutscenes. Guess i was wrong.
As soon as that overworld music kicked in, I melted into a puddle of pure nostalgia. I absolutely love this game!

Bloody hell this game looks gorgeous. Between this, Ratchet & Clank and Crash N.Sanity, cartoon games still have a place in the ocean of entertainment. I just wish there were more of them.
Imagine how fantastic Jak & Daxter would look now. Now THATS another remake I would throw money at.
this is the game that made me into a gamer when I was 3 years old. Nearly 2 decades later and I get to play spyro again

they messed up on on the cloud spires characters, they were flying cats with crowns, they were crowns and you could tell by the color differentiation between it and the fur, now they are really creepy looking with the crown fused to their skull
Canny wait to smash this out. I grew up on games like this and now my little gets to enjoy it in 4k 😁😁

Still disappointed with Hunter's voice. The deeper voice was so much better suited for the script. Hunter is meant to be a big lovable dummy who thinks he's cooler than he is. Giving him a younger hip voice just kinda takes away from that. Same with the Sorceress,; her voice sounded much better when she sounded like a nasty old witch than the posh sounding Queen voice they gave her. Either way, great looking remake. TFB really captured the essence of the original games. Plus I'll buy any Spyro game that brings back the original soundtrack.
I've never played Spyro as a kid but I'm so happy the classic Spyro fans gets to enjoy their childhood remastered! Hopefully one day I get to play Spyro or even the Reignited Trilogy

Hyped! Does I’m hoping evening lake has its actual theme, I had the pal version growing up
so how come Bianca came out just perfect and her face is just cute and cartoony? She's the only one I can see that has been completely unaltered besides updated to look better. Either way, I love her look the best, and Spyro is a close second.
