I just noticed something about the music: whenever Spyro is idle, the music seems to “calm down”. The drums slowly fade out and it turns hollow. I’m really loving this approach omgggg
Nailed the music. Definitely understand the appeal behind the dynamic music now, especially how it chills out when you talk to an NPC.

Lowered, but didn't change the instruments. This is cool what they did with it.
Actually the song straight up stopped when talking to NPCs in the original. I love the vibe the dynamic music gives now, also how it chills out when you're idle. Dynamic music was a really smart move from the sound team imo

the baby dragons need more life in them, they look quite stiff, as well as having a suspense for the egg hatching is needed.
probs just place holders for now, i hope. im sure they will fix them, they were a huge part of nostalgia

Kage Jason Original Spyro 1-3 voices sounded very comical, cool & amusing the way it's supposed to be! Now characters sound serious, no egg hatching animations, & Spyro walking portal animations are missing..
So much nostalgia.

I cried looking at this. The way we saw it in our head back then is what we're seeing now for real.
It’s always funny going back and looking at what old games looked like. My grandfather told me the other day that he preferred what the original Everquest looked like compared to WoW. That was until I brought up pictures on google to show him what it looked like lol.

I don't think it was completely animated yet. The fact that the quality of the game looks so great but that sticks out like a sore thumb has to mean toys for Bob sees it too...at least I hope so.
The third game isn’t finished yet. Spyro wasn’t even hovering when he should have.
@Neon Volta the main reason for the delay is to finish the game so 1, 2 & 3 can be on the disk. 2 & 3 would have been patched on.
During this time, everything can be touched up and perfected.
Basically, Activision were happy to rush this game out and not even wholly available on the disk.

It's the remake but you'll have the option of using just the original soundtrack in the options menu.

I think they NAILED Sanders. I took a look back just out of curiosity and they're both 6 seconds. The original game had some seriously short animations for a lot of the dragons in the middle of the stage.
Noticed some clipping in Zoe's dress when she's talking to Spyro. Hope they get that fixed before release :D
Everytime a fairy zaps Spyro, his progress is saved....Also he looses a million brain cells.

i remember this level so fondly. it was the level i was playing when i realized i didn't need to look down at the controller to play anymore. so young, so innocent. :')
An option to turn off the motion blur would be marvelous.
I spent a worrying amount of time as a kid playing Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive and Spyro 3, the first hub world levels in particular since it took me a while to get a memory card*. Seeing it remade like this is... beautiful.
*For those too young to remember, video game consoles didn't always come with in-built memory. Sometimes you had to go out and buy this add-on of sorts called a "memory card" to hold your save data. Could hold a whole 1 megabyte on the PS1's memory card, and chances are that was all you ever needed.
I hated the eggs animation, its so fast and the baby dragons are weird.

I love how the rhynocs run into things and each other. Definitely captures the humor of the original.
Oh I'm so glad they didn't changed the sounds too much. The sound when you collect a diamond or the way the frogs sound is just like back then. I love it, that's how a remake should look like

There is no denying that the graphics look amazing. I love the amount of detail the Rhynocs have now for example. But I am still not enthusiastic about the new music. I played through the PS1 version again recently and the music sounds so much better. So I would probably switch to the original music here.
You guys have no idea how happy i was to see this level again :)

I only got one thing i want to mention, in the original when spyro receive an egg you hear a synth tone right before it cracks open, would like it if they add it in the remake and feels nostalgic at the same time but for now that moment feels a little empty..
For this trilogy to work the music must be just right Yes the visuals are amazing and all but music is what made Spyro for me
The eggs crack inmediately?... I liked the 'daaaaaa' that it used to have. Like the cracking sound when rescuing a dragon. Dashing now feels more fluid, apparently.

Poor frog at 0:33, he's trying so hard to get Spyro's attention, but Spyro wonyt give him the time of day.
Honestly, I like the music in the the Spyro remaster more than the Crash remaster. This sounds modern while maintaining the charm of the original. The music from Crash did sound modern, but the vibe that made the original music so characteristic was often lost to me.
My question is why don’t we have a demo yet?? Especially if they are delaying it atleast give us a demo to hold us over!
Nice to see not every character is voiced with an American accent. Hopefully they're making the changes to reflect the old voices across the board, that's been my only real gripe so far from all the Riptos Rage footage.

The music is spot on! what I will say though is the voice acting of the NPC's sounds a bit under par :( the baby dragon hatch animation too is too fast.
To be honest - it sounds so much like the PS1 version. E.G. Badly boiced for the most part. (in terms of depth to the voices)

they really have to adjust the egg hatching animation. It does not even wiggle and explodes right away.
Really hope they add more to the egg hatching animation(s). Other than that, this is looking great!

Hmm.. on one hand I really like how the song becomes dynamically "faded out" when you don't do anything for a while, but on the other I'm a bit bothered by how.. stagnant the song sounds otherwise. The bass sounds bouncy, but those long high notes don't really kick in all that hard like in the original. They don't feel like a climax or any sort of increase in intensity, but rather just a part of the same level of energy the song starts with. So I dunno, I kinda prefer how the originals sounded a bit more alive and brave in adding different levels of intensity to different parts of the song.
