Glad kids of this generation will get a chance to grow up with games like Spyro and Crash....reminds me if simpler times 😞
not gonna lie. im happy all these games i loved as a kid are coming back with great graphics and better controls. i know they're kind of cashing in on nostalgia, but im all for it.
Not really a cash-in. This is a painstaking remake of a beloved 20 year old franchise.
My wife still plays all three at least twice a year. She's played it so much, she had to buy new, unopened copies last year, just to get the discs to read. She's WAY excited for it, as am I.

I'm going to assume the R3 button is going to allow you to snap the camera behind spyro similar to how switching between action and passive mode worked in the last game.

This is how you do a remake. The original Spyro trilogy already had plenty of charm and character and it seems very much like what they're trying to do is accentuate that further with a ton of small details that really flesh out the games as a long time fan of these games it's so damn appreciated. I some things might not be note for note but cannot wait to see how this plays out.

I'm disappointed this game was not announced during the xbox or playstation E3. This is a big game title and I'm suprised it did not get the attention it deserves.

This game really does deserve some limelight. He’s a classic icon, but isn’t being treated as such.
It's really not that big of a deal though. It is to us that played it in our childhood but realistically, how many of those people are still playing video games, and how many people will actually purchase this that never played Spyro. I'm excited though!

Spryo had beautiful and unique worlds and levels. The soundtrack was phenomenal and the monster designs were very creative. Spyro wins hands down.
So looking forward to this. I'm waiting for Ape Escape to be remastered.

my ONLY complaint is spyro's flying animation. it looks to barebones and stiff. it has no spunk. I would like to see them make it so he sticks his legs out to the side and wobbles as flies like in the original games.
I mean, I agree. But they still have plenty of time to change 1 of Spyro's animations.
adjmonkey I agree, they’re painstakingly doing everything again so i think that the cute wobble will be there in September.

This was my Life as a teen in 1998, I can not wait to play this. Wont be GOTY but it'll be mine, I can't be disappointed in Spyro. Loved it then and will love it now, it is my all time favourite game and forever will be! Thank you to everyone who re-made this, can not thank you enough :)
I want to cry. They are putting so much love into this game. I can't even explain how happy and grateful I am.
I have absolutely loved every bit about these games that they’ve shown so far. It’s just the way I remember, and I love the individual designs for the dragons! I really can’t wait to see a sneak peek of the other two games. Ripto’s Rage was always my favorite.

I'm well aware of the Speedway Levels but hope Spyro keeps His Free Flight Ability Anytime Any Level Not just Speedway

This looks great, good thing I preordered it. I wouldn't mind seeing The Legend of Spyro trilogy getting the same treatment one day.

This is already my game of the year. I dont think I ever been so excited about a game. And I get my childhood back with it. :D The only complaint I may have is that the epic soundtrack only seem to trigger on bosses. The Toasty music theme was my favorite back in the day.

I never played Spyro, like how I never played Crash and the N. Sane Trilogy gave me the pleasure to finally play that and I loved it. I can't wait for Spyro! I never owned a PS1 and I played the demo for a Spyro game and I liked it. Excited to finally get to play it.

This is awesome! I was born with this game! It was my first game I ever owned. I'm so so excited! Also I really want to see the desert levels in the game!
This gave me weird flashbacks at the time where McDonalds gave us the Crash & Spyro happy meals.

I do want them to add difficulty settings. Like maybe Sparx only turns from yellow to gone. That way you lose if you get hit only twice.
I know this is an unpopular opinion but in my view the gameplay hasn't aged well and I don't think it'll sell well to the modern audience.But to long running fans this is an amazing remaster and a must play
They've clearly made some adjustments to the script, such as referring to Toasty by name instead of calling him a boss.
I'm not complaining, tho. That's a good change.

When he says thinking about speedrunners, all I can think of is them putting a big hole in a castle in spyro 2 so people can just fly through them instead of clipping

I'm excited for crash remastered, especially for the Switch, but for this I don't know. Crash works, but idk if Spyro will be better in 3d. If it's on the Switch I'll buy it, but I still hope it will be good.

The game looks amazing & im super pumped for september...only thing i’m on the fence about is the music & decision to have dynamic elements (so far)
But then again there’s only one Stewart Copeland & at least they are trying to keep it close to the source material

Dark Nova A: Crash is on Nintendo and Crash and Spyro go together like peanut butter and jelly. B: Spyro is on xbox and Spyro has NEVER been on xbox before while it HAS been on Nintendo before *cough* gameboy and NintendoDS *cough* So it is highly likely but while I'm so sure it is coming, I can't help but still have to hope.
This looks absolutely stunning. I'm really glad 3D platformers are being brought back for the newer generation. Imagine if we got the first 2 Banjo games remastered like this.

I'm going to lose my life in spyro 1 and 2. I personally don't care too much for year of the dragon, but it's still worth playing it when it's remastered.
When he asks if we can expect an additional playable character- dude, have you not played year of the dragon? I dont think we really need any more.

They do have some frame spotting that can be leveled out but I don;t know why I can not stand that autumn look in any game. It's always been something I hated in the environments in any game. It looks dope so far though.
