Hutto is absolutely booming right now. I just built a home here after being away from Austin for about 10 years. I remember Hutto being pretty rural and an after-thought during 2008-2012 when I was in high school. Leander was similar back then so I can only imagine what Hutto is going to turn into. So many homes popping up. The high-end builders in Leander are building in Hutto now, most homes are up for bid. Lots of parks and restaurants here which is a big plus for me. The Hutto Co-Op is in the works which is going to have apartments, retail and office space..kind of like a mini Domain. Samsung, Tesla, and (hopefully) Applied Materials coming to this area is huge. Hutto is just a few miles from RR too, so heading to Old Settlers Park, the Dell Diamond, or Round Rock donuts is a short drive. I've been here for 6 months and so far am a BIG fan of Hutto.
I am actually a really big Hutto fan. I have never lived in Hutto, however it is mentioned a lot in the book I have recently bought called "Hutto - The Boomtown of Texas". It was a really great read, I suggest everyone who is interested in Hutto to pick the book up. It also has a section, where you can learn to speak Huttonian. It's by George Washington btw (not the president) I love hutto!!!!
I have found Hutto to have the largest collection of rude people. Also up your car insurance because I have never seen so many people violate so many trafffic laws in my life. Red lights, stop signs and yield signs are regularily run at all times. The roads do not support the amount of traffic and with as slow as they are on infrastructure it will be some of the worst traffic for quite some time.

I have lived in Hutto for over 18 years. Love it. Pflugerville is about 10 minutes away. A lot has changed since this video.
