I've been in Round Rock for 27+ years, and there are plenty of Farmer's Markets nearby, lots of bakeries, and health options. As for parks, there are plenty of walking trails, with shade trees, rivers, creeks, etc. I also homeschooled my kids and know all the ins and outs on what to do for field trips, museums in town and nearby. Yes, this area is becoming busy popular, but it is bringing in a lot of new and unique restaurants and businesses... Study a roadmap, and you can find ways to escape and detour I-35 on rush hour. Hot weather is EVERYWHERE, not just here. But at least we have a lot of sunshine! If someone is complaining about the law, they're usually running from the law. There is no such thing as boredom. Only boring people.

i think this guide is pretty helpful but something to consider about the traffic is that its very localized
a lot of the bad traffic is focused on major hubs of traffic like 620/i35 all the way to the bush's and sonic, sometimes university/1431, anywhere on i35 proper, sometimes gattis/79 can be harsh, the area around sam bass/35 too, otherwise the traffic is actually pretty light and you can usually make it past any light in 2, maybe 3 max reds if people really arent paying attention. if you can learn how to cut through neighborhoods to get to your destination, about any trip is always under half an hour

You left out a very important aspect of Round Rock. It's in Williamson County, which is one of the most corrupt places in the country!

Round rock can be great if youre a busy suburban. But i am not so Im usually super bored. Ya, they have outdoor parks, but barely any shade and it is soooo hot and bright during the summer its no good. It takes literally 20 minutes plus to get anywhere good and other than smoothie king which sucks, I can’t find a healthy local shop for smoothies and snacks. But i can find a place to drink anywhere!! The school my daughter goes to feels terribly unsafe and i always fear a school shooting but that’s just America i guess yayyyy. The school has no cops or security guards and its just open for danger. I am not impressed it is simply a descent place to live. Don’t expect to find any good bakeries, healthy food options, gyms with kid care even tho its a place to raise kids, shaded walking trails, any nice parks ( ya there are parks but nothing pretty to look at just flat hot grass :/. There is barely anything to do here that is unique or fun. Just small town things and of course shopping centers. If you don’t have a kid you WILL BE BORED. The traffic is gross and they want to blame ppl that move here and yet they’re all like, ‘come move here! We’re building overpriced homes left and right!’ Just a basic Suburbian town.
Oh yeah, and no good farmers markets! Just your absolutely hideous HEB. I’ve never hated a grocery store more. It’s overwhelming and they still manage to not have things i get in other grocery stores. How can you be a town that big and not have a badass farmer market? And enjoy those property taxes! I can tell people really do

A close friend of mine just moved to Round Rock so I wanted to SEE the "round rock" which I googled and found a strange roundish flat top rock surrounded by water but nothing I found lends it any scale as to how large....so I googled looking for any photos with a person standing on said rock....cant find a single one other than a photoshopped one pertaining to covid social distance blah blah....anyone know of a photo with a person(s) standing on the rock? If so reply with link??

For Scenery, you should also look into the Bee Cave and Dripping Springs(Hill Country)
Georgetown has its own lake with many parks and trails throughout the city!! 😊

Avoid moving to Round Rock. Schools are below avg and the area is not one of the nicest in the Austin area.
