I live in Hutto. My wife works downtown and we go into Austin proper almost every weekend. The commute is rarely if ever an hour or more. It typically takes 30-40 minutes. The tolls are easily accessible so I35 can be avoided whenever necessary.
I live in Hutto and they need to build more roads and less gas stations, it’s getting ridiculous over here traffic wise, been here for 5 years moved from Austin cause of how expensive it’s gotten. I was born and raised in Austin and it’s just not the same.
My husband is getting out of the military, we're moving to the area hopefully end of summer. He's looking into working for stacatto. Anyway he are looking into Hutto. Hopefully market gets better by then! We will be using VA LOAN
Please tell your husband I'm grateful for his service. Hutto is a great place - its in the middle of a huge growth spurt and is close to everything in Round Rock and Georgetown. Lots of stuff to do!
I think most people who are moving to the area a 45 min drive is no big deal to downtown Austin, can take twice that long on a good day to drive the same distance in Seattle

Don't forget about the new Samsung factory in Taylor. Hutto is indeed very close to Taylor.

Yeah Hutto has grown like crazy in the past few years! Hope the roads get better. It is definitely more affordable than Austin.

Yes! Samsung's huge plant in Taylor is already under way. Should see a lot of growth in Taylor and Hutto as a result.
