Thanks a million. This was excellent. I've had these in the cupboard for two years because I could never get them to work. Now they're working perfectly and I have a good signal upstairs.
I was reading the guide on the Virgin website and it said to press the WPS button to link it to the smaller booster but in the little looping gif it had the sync button being pressed. Odd. So they were confusing. I thought I'd look for someone who can give the proper information. I'm glad I found this video. I'll give it a try now. Thanks 😊
Amazing content, my Virgin Powerline adapters from eBay just came in and your video was key in setting up the Adapters, the instructions work perfectly if you have a second or third booster. Had to gamble if my house was on a single ring main circuit, luckily everything works. Thanks a lot!
if the WPS cloning fails you may need initiate it on the booster itself, the login details are on the back, you can use any browser to open it - worked for me.
Will try this as stopped using as few hours of use stops router working, have to reset and remove to use router....fingers crossed this guide solves the issue
Hi there and thanks for a great video, I have a question, when you use the reset button, do the boosters need to be powered up? sorry if this seems a stupid question, but I am clueless...🙂
How do you use these if someone has lent them to you? Are they specifically paired for the network that is written on the back or can they be reset for other Virgin users?
Hi, I've unsuccessfully had my 2 extensions on a long time. I've followed these steps again till the lights stopped blinking and only the solid white ones are on, but still getting weak or no signal from them.
That's what I was wondering because I got these boosters when I was with virgin and I still have but I'm with Vodafone broadband now and I'm wondering if it works with them

The only thing I can suggest is, reset the camera and if that doesn’t work, do a pin hole reset on the router. Or the other option, buy a cheap wifi booster and connect the camera to that. Believe I know how annoying it is!
Hi there, do we need both the adapters to be the same virgin media model or can I use another companys adapter with this virgin media powerline adapter?
Thank you for your kind comment. Once you've plugged the second one in press the sync button on both the boosters, the one that's at the back of the router and the second one then hopefully they should pair.
Hello....thanks for this video. It was almost what I was searching for. You see, a year ago I had already connected my set of virgin sockets, in the way your video suggests, to allow me to work, from home, with my laptop. My son will now also begin working from the same room but will also require a stronger WiFi signal. I have a spare electrical socket at his desk. Is it sensible/possible to simply buy another set of identical virgin adapters for his socket?
Haven't tried them with any other brand. In all honesty, I wouldn't recommend these, after turning ours off and getting a better router, the wi-fi has improved.
Hi what is the maximum speed your are getting via sorted wired connection from the powerline Vs being directly connected via ethernet cable to your router?
Hi I'm not using these anymore, I have a new router, it's great don't need anything like this. But before we was getting close to the router speeds, they work really good.
With regard to the small adapter, I do not have a spare mains wall socket that is in a useable position and whichi also enables me to connect an ethernet cable. Are you saying the ethernet cable MUST be connected AND the smaller device must go into wall socket? I can put the small adapter into a wall but the ethernet cable is not long enough to reach. Or I can plug the small booster into an extension and then the ethernet can be connected. I suppose I don't understand why the small booster must be plugged into the wall?
Powerline adapter's don't work properly if they are not plugged in to the main socket. The small one has to be plugged in and used with an ethernet cable or else the large one won't work.
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS Hi Grumpyman, appreciate the quick reply. So if I plug the small one in to an extension bar, is it that it won't work as well, or it won't work at all?
