Reasons why this musical is great:
1. The iconic line: "No, fuck you, you don't know what YOU'RE talking about!"
2. It's ability to compare primitive times with the modern age without insulting all of humanity or our dignity, but rather through satire.
3. Jemilla and Zazzalil going from enemies to lovers in a realistic way, without it being forced.
One reason I'm not a fan of this musical:
Zazzalil getting exiled was forced.

I don't understand how an actor can play both Ted in TGWDLM and Grunt in Firebringer so. Well. It's insane. They're such different characters but both of them feel so genuine and real. Amazing
Honestly, his biggest character difference (in my opinion) is Bug and Ted. Both are amazingly different, Bug is a charasmatic, hopeful, kind, loyal, and eager person with lots to learn. Ted is an out of luck, traumatized, rude, douchebag. Played by the same guy. Damn. Joey Richter is so talented

Keeri's little "it's _dancing!"_ at 7:49 kills me every time. I don't know if it's her delivery or the way the camera pans over or what but it just cracks me up.
Lauren's voice is just PERFECT in this show. Out of all the songwriters in all the Starkid shows, I think Meredith was the best at writing for her vocal placement, which is especially great since most modern musicals don't write for classical sopranos like Lauren is.

I am well aware this is 6 years old.. However I have only THIS YEAR come across STARKID and this musical is fantastic!! This along with The Trail To Oregon are both my favourite!! I don't know if I can get on board with the parody ones (I'll give them a go) but Firebringer and The Trail To Oregon are heads and shoulders above some of the great musicals I've seen!! Fantastic comedy and brilliantly crafted music!!
Have you seen "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" yet, then? It's pretty good, didn't make me laugh quite as much as those two, but still funny. Of the parodies, my favorite was Twisted.

Just didn't enjoy it (granted I didn't finish it) felt the pacing was slower and the parts I saw weren't as captivating or enjoyable so just pied it off.

Oh man, I love this musical,and starship. They are exceptional. I really didn't like TGWDLM. Didn't hit the mark for me at all.
Very fair to not enjoy TGWDLM, but y'all might enjoy Black Friday! It's in the same multiverse as TGWDLM but can be enjoyed independently ^.^

starkid captions need more recognition cuz not only are they accurate to whats happening onstage theyre also HILARIOUS and add so much more to the show. theyre good in every show but firebringer captions are definitely my favourite jemilla's sounds of exasperation are just done so well
also firebringer is just my favourite starkid musical as a whole so thats probably also influencing my opinion on the captions but like you cant deny that theyre amazing
