i watched this live mostly on the allied side. they tried to d day over and over but failed, with the only successful day happening just before he soviets capped. no one belived victory could be achieved and yet they keep pushing and won. I can only dream of being such an good writer as you are bo, making brand new exciting scripts even after 200 episodes, well done
I mean the Axis were still keeping D-Day at a standstill, but probably would’ve lost eventually with red air everywhere and the Allies being able to just nuke all the axis planes. Who knows how many hours they’d already been playing at this point so people just wanted to go to bed I’d guess
at that point CAS and Air Control is the meta in hoi 4 so once they lost 3 of there airfield and more than 1500 plane the chance of winning is really slim

And France is suffering from the effects from nuclear warfare. I mean imagine it you get your country taken over and puppeted, you find out a coalition of nations has come to liberate you, only to nuke you cities and ports because of military strategic value. I'd say that in this case it's even worse then the Japanese nuclear bombings cause at least the Japanese werent a puppeted country

Well, if you watched a very populated nation of a vast territory recently capitulate to your enemy, it would be safe to assume your enemy will try to reinforce their armies with whatever they can gain from there. I’d imagine in this alt-history scenario, especially considering Spain joined the Axis, it’d end up worse than the theoretical Operation Downfall for Japan. I say this because it would involve the massive beachhead landings across more coasts, the campaigns to secure territory, and determining the use of nukes. The first nuke(s) used will be the first impression for the enemy, so, the bottom-line is where are the strategic targets in Europe? You can also break that down to what’s best for the ground campaign vs. political targets with an industrial base far enough behind to support your enemy’s fronts.

Airfields are always the targets for the first nukes, to cement the air superiority so follow-up nukes can be dropped
