The Spine Mini is a classic FISE event that is guaranteed high energy and to bring in the largest crowd, and this year was no different.
WHAT IS OUR BMX?!
In short, we are the Ride BMX staff out on our own. We're building from the ground up and our goal is pretty simple. We want to continue what we love. We want to create great content, feature awesome riders, and contribute, push, and show why we love BMX. We sincerely appreciate any and all support... -Ryan Fudger, Jeff Zielinski, Adam Watkins, and Justin Benthien.

Kieran does massive tricks and just totally stomps them with with incredible power. The tricks he does take so much effort and commitment that you can't just link them together with fluidity. Justin looks smoother, and he is obviously amazing at tech and style and possibly deserved the win this time, but lets recognize that Kieran one-ups EVERYONE with an extra spin, extra flip, extra rotation... Kieran is just extra on everything!
Exactly. I’ve seen them both in person. Justin just has much more style and linkable tricks. It’s not always about doing the most flips. Bars. and spins

Skip to 10:22 to see some beautiful bike riding! Gracias Sergio for two incredible runs full of style and flow. No bails, no sketch and no disgustingly hectic robot tricks ! It doesn't win contests but it's certainly the best to watch imo.
To be fair though, compared to the park qualifying, there was more variety in tricks : a couple of nice turndowns or lookbacks, can-cans, some liptricks and tricks to fakie, one or two manuals (i think), and interestingly some bails which made the whole thing seem more real.
Edit: also watch 24:25 for Kevin Peraza's runs. Less flowy, but a very nice mix of original, stylish and hard tricks!

Man Dhers is still such a savage and Peraza is just a damn treat to watch. Kieran had the win in my eyes, but congrats to Justin.
I love how Dhers does some of these tricks; it always looks like he might not pull it but then he always does

Great job everyone. In my eyes Kieran is the wildman with the toughest tricks while Justin is super mellow with hard, original tricks pulled off in the smoothest way possible - Props to all riders risking life and limb.
Sergio got robbed. Definitely deserved a better placing. Not saying podium or anything but a clean run on both and didn’t crash or slip anything and his style gets a 11th these days just kills the vibe. I get everyone wants to see how many tricks you can throw in one jump but you never see kids throwing massive allyoop look backs 6ft+high and have a constant flow, instead throwing double whip airs just above copping 😂
So true! I started watching without knowing he rode in that contest. His runs were the most enjoyable to watch.

@@grantandrews8458 I didn’t expect a win out of his runs. Like I said he deserved a better placing considering his runs were consistent. This style will never get podium again, it’s clear as daylight but still being consistent in both runs and keeping a good flow and speed deserved better place than 11th seeing others threw down but crashed and slipped pedals multiple times
He placed above riders who did way more tricks. Tho I think the 2 above him should have been a few places behind him.

So proud of all the BMX crew out there. It has come so far since the early days. I was 10 in 1983, and I got to see a lot of the classic greats from then till now….I’m so stoked.
i think if Kieran can smooth things up just a little so he carries more speed out of his tricks he will be undeniably on top.
Justin is an incredible rider, but clear as day Kieran had a far better run. Both crushed it, Kieran considerably more

Mad respect to anyone riding this comp. The level of difference from 16th place to about 8th place and up is incredible. Sergio stylish as ever, Kevin with the whole arsenal, and even Kieran stringing together the heaviest runs of all!

Great atmos! Weird judging outcomes! Peraza and Sergio make park look steezy. Ashley is a powerhouse. Kieran got robbed! Still getting used the UCI's involvement.

Great riding by everyone! Definitely stoked on Kieran Riley's runs. Whole bunch of riders I haven't heard of absolutely killing it out there, real young guns too looks like. Kevin Peraza just always blows my mind to pieces.

Don’t know why Justin waved his run away when everyone else who crashed got back up and carried on cos that’s the vibe of the spine contest, but he seemed to treat it like normal park. Kieran should’ve won but congrats to Justin

i think if kieran can hold his speed he's taking gold. it's sooo hard to find anything to critique, and the difference between all these riders is splitting cunt hairs, but you can see in parts kieran is just barely getting over the spine after his biggest hits. i don't think many others would make it over with that much speed but he just muscles it haha

@@andysheppard9727 FISE judging has been sus for at least 10 years now and it's gotten worse now that they've partnered with UCI. That's what I meant by "where have you been?" Yes, I've been watching FISE for over 20 years now lol I know full well who used to destroy the ramp.

I take it back most of the bottom pack scored better I'm my opinion, they gave points for difficulty with bad landings only in the mid pack which I think was the least impressive

RIP BMX. Only watched 2nd and 1st place. 2nd was landing all the way flat, 1st did it better but... is that Freestyle BMX? There is no risky tricks like backflip, 360 or 720 to the spine, only fully technical tricks repeated over and over again. This guys doesnt looks getting fun in this contest... Missing Mirra times.

Justin is an amazing rider but that was nowhere near close to a first place run.
Same for Kevin P and 4th.
Any top 5 run should have zero falls and that should be even more so for the top 3.
Kieran won this one, if it were my call.
Gustavo was amazing too; he should have placed top 3.

Kieran blatantly won that, no question about it at all! such a shame that a great event was ruined by controversy and corrupt judging....... We all know who won! No offence to Justin but I think even he knows it, which unfortunately makes it hard for him to celebrate his 1st place because he knows Kieran was better on the day.
Kieran Does alot of good tricks but they are all at coping and lands super low.
When xgames gonna come home to El monte yo they need to stop playing around and we need to set that shit up areselves then ill.do it I got the perfect place in mind that big ass empty field next to the sa recycling and the the train Trax run threw there we could make a temp stop there for the trains so riders come out from all over that day that would be like the movies to me

What the hell Justin's do Wells run was no where near kerion rileys who in the hell is judging these events the best trick 8n his set was 360 double bar on the quarter kerion had a 720 bar a 900 triple whip he smashed it by a mile that's soooo bad how its world championships as well not like its just some random event the judges must be on some type of heavy medication kerion got robbed 100% they must have all been from USA or sumink that was obviously a biased desisision clearly for all to see embarrassing for the whole community wtf
