I counted six tape measures on the rack above your tipping wheel. No two alike, and I have four of them in my collection of six, or eight, or maybe ten. Love the piece Nick. Thank You.
Just watching this one again. Hat's off to you Nick you do amazing work and make it look so simple, which I now know it is anything but simple. Take care, Joe
@@iNVisionPrototypes here In England it's Covid that's doing the rounds. The good thing being that most people have had the vaccine . Go easy Nick you will get back to normal soon. Joe
That custom trim line you made is looking just amazing. I know its not finished yet but wow does it truly look awesome!! great work Nick and great video as always
Profile looks good ... gettin 'er done fairly fast compared to the speed I move ... where's the front plate go? ... waiting in anticipation to see the color ... don't forget the three port holes in the front fenders ...
Hey Nick, That is a nice looking shoe box you have there. Personally I think the grille/nurf bar is too wide, but I am not building that car. I have a local friend who is doing some slightly 50's-60's styles customizing on a 49 shoe box two door sedan and it looks great. But I also like your rather updated modifications as well. Different but not outrageous. Seeing your car in paint, sitting on some nice wheels and tires will prove to be interesting. Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life
Quite a workout moving that 16ga around. If it was to be chromed(like the one for the 40 Sedan Delivery) I would have taken a file to it so that the amount of copper required was kept to a minimum ... involving a lot more work. I appreciate you watching
@iNVisionPrototypes Nick, I'm glad you are sticking with it! Not the car stuff, I know that is in your blood but the videoing and editing, its extra work and it may seem like it's not worth but I sure enjoy seeing your work and picking up a tip or two as well! 👍
This is such a great channel. You are a fantastic craftman. If I was rich, and lived in Canada, I would have hired you to make a Facel Vega out of a Corvette C 5, as they have an allmost identical wheel base. By the way, I have an old Bosch sheet metal shear like Your Makita, it’s from the 60 I believe, and it’s a fantastic tool. Btw, the car looks like a million dollars.
Its always a pleasure to watch you work and produce a quality product. There are many unfinished and botched projects out there on utube for the simple sake of keeping people coming back to see the next thing to fail. Keep the videos coming. I love watching everything you do. By the way, any updates on the custom 40 Ford and that jet theme car?
😢we didn't get to see the trim being made. Looking real good Nick hope you show us how you make the front screen mouldings. Trims are hard to get right
Hi Paul, you're right. Trim takes a lot of time to get right, especially when it's all custom made. As for the windscreen will be installed with urethane, eliminating the rubber seal and trim. I discussed this in Episode 21. Thank you very much for watching!!
Thanks again Nick for sharing your awesome fab skills with us!! Your videos are always so informative. And yes, I would love some contact info for your English wheel anvils! I want to make my own wheel.
Yes, like the profile, looks really good. It seems to me that most modern designers are on an uglification race - who can get the knobbliest most unpleasant design
It's much easier to move things around in such a way that people will know something has changed. A smooth, clean, simplified design is much more challenging. Thanks for the thumbs up Sir!
Don't' know what body color you have chosen - In lieu of chromium, sulfamate nickel plate only lends a warm luster though does need periodic polish maintenance. Great work.
I may have missed it. Is there a video of the fabrication of the trim around the windows? Interested in how it attaches and sits next to window glass. Looking great!
It would look really good if we were running with a 'polished' brightwork theme. For now all the trim will be painted to match the rims. Thanks for watching Gene!
Hi Nick, love your expertise. What pressure do you run that trolley wheel on your english wheel? I’m trying to roll a complex bonnet (for me anyway) and the rubber keeps rolling off the top wheel. Many thanks regards John.
Sounds like you're anvils aren't running true. Check the alignment(without the rubber band see if the sheet metal 'walks' as you roll it). For these 16ga there was A LOT of pressure applied using the rubber upper with many passes to form them. Hope that helps. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. N.
Im building a 1980 datsun 280zx wanting to make it look more like a 240z. I need to build bumpers to mimic the beautiful thin wrap around bumpers of the early 70s. Thinking about using 16 /14 guage stainless. Any advise would be appreciated.
Stainless is a bit tricky to weld. Loves to warp. Build a jig/buck to clamp the pieces to and practice welding before attempting the real deal. A stainless bumper will look really trick. Best of luck!
@iNVisionPrototypes I am actually well versed in stainless (food equipment is my field) but not making bumpers. Yes, it has a mind of its own. Did you have the bumper chromed ?
@@cowfrank That's great! You're ahead of the game. When built from crs we will either have the bumpers chromed or paint them as you saw for the 51 Ford. What sort of shaping tools do you have? Wheel? Planishing hammer?
I agree! Thing is this shell didn't come with one... didn't come with anything really so we had some fun. Check out the rescue video ruclips.net/video/3fbiYeIzl_o/видео.html Thanks for watching!
Holy smokes... someone's got their panties in a knot!!! Lighten up pal. Nothing wrong with calling the left side of the car as the drivers side...here in North Amererica. Some go as far as calling it the captains side and the passenger side as the drinkers side.
That going to be one fine 51 ford
Comming along nicely.😉👍👍

That bumper is impressive I also enjoy The challenge of the metal work makes you think
Looking good. That heavy gauge is a TON of work

Thanks man, I appreciate that!!
Lines are very nice with that top cut and all of the door work, all of these body swaps have a lot of work involved
Thanks!
It’s been a joy to see your craft and the progress you’ve made. I love the profile! I can imagine the glass..anxious to see just how cool it will be!

Thanks!
Looks great so far, anxious to see color on it.
You and me both!
once again Nick...amazing work. Car profile looks great!
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩 thanks nickster dantheman
I was getting worried that the front end from the 3/4 view looked like a 50 Plymouth, but the bumper bar breaks that up. Great job!
Thanks 👍
Hey Nick, the front is looking awesome. Your vids always help me end my week on a positive note. Thanks for your consistency!

Every time I watch I see and learn something new! Neat way of mounting the trim and hiding the bolts

Ejection seat!!
Looking good, some nice features too.

Great work Nick. I wonder if the rear lights (LED) would work well in the groove where you have the trim? Licking every episode.
