Thank you for sharing. Personally I've been following these "steps" because my father is a homeopathic doctor, so he always encouraged us to follow the natural ways to feel good and be healthy.
Something I must learn is chew more. And I seem to eat a snack at bedtime, but I must admit if I eat around 5:00 my food seems to digest much better. Thanks young lady, Im learning so much while watching your videos. Yeah
Those are great tips! Being relaxed is very important for proper digestion. My biggest problems and bad habits are eating while stressed and eating too close to bed, and stuffing myself! I need to work on these three areas because I know they contribute to my gut dysfunction.
I lost my brother to cancer in March then I had a 2nd child in September, I really need to start taking care of myself because I don't look after myself anymore. I need better sleep, diet and more exercise. We eat a lot of crap and this has got to change because I feel my health is quickly declining. This video has given me a lot to think about, thank you so much. Can you release a new video to help us set up a plan and set up a community on discord so that we can all help each other to improve our lifestyle?
Thank you Meghan once again for a very informative, yet somehow super calming and relaxing video :) It is so nice to see someone my age who is using their platform to be both educational and super relatable. Sending love, from a fellow Torontonian :)
Hello, Meghan, thankyou. I suffered from IBS and it causing me major problems , ive got to watch what I eat because of my condition ive had it for a very long time. I eat cereal in the morning, also oranges, and bread for lunch.
I have a confession to make. I’m a sugar addict. I need help weaning myself off. 😂I laugh but it really is a problem in me and America. I’m thought my diet was pretty good but I love sugar. I thought I can get away with 1 vice but no. I’m 20 lbs overweight because of it. I also have a lot a inflammation in my body that causes me issues. Any particular diet for that. Thank you for listening
hi!! i’ve recently taken up baking and trying to make unrefined sugar bakes and i’ve done a lot of research and there’s so many more natural sugars out there, maple syrup, coconut sugar, date syrups, honey, stevia and so many others out there so don’t worry you don’t need to cut it all out!!! 😊
Loooooove this female !!!!! Super smart , funny , great communication and enjoyable to listen too. And she mentioned “exercise “ ... nobody does that anymore. As a kid we all remember the food pyramid. Well that hasn’t ever gone out of style, But if you can remember back there was always a little picture of a person doing some kind of exercise, be it , running or swimming or weight training. I believe it’s still very important and thank you for mentioning it
I had a huge IBS problem and I cured it following your tips and the Monash App, I did an elimination process and my IBS symptoms disappeared. I am reintroducing some foods that I thought it would be harmful and I fell much, much better now. Thanks a lot for your videos.
Unless it's a banana or a crazy thick root veggie, I'm actually trying to keep the skin on everything. I just recently ate a baked potato with the skin for the first time and was actually full for the night. I couldn't eat my chicken sandwich so I saved it for the next day. It's amazing how impactful fiber is especially insoluble
Thank you Meghan, I have seen so many many videos on the Web with regards to gut and digestive system health, half of which haven't a clue what their talking about and you want to find someone who does and trying to persuade or push into buying, reading comments from people here says a lot and shows how much your believed in, reason I started looking up this topic, is I gave noticed changes, I can no longer gulp down thick pieces of chicken or steak due to getting caught Compared to when a few years younger rushing non stop, at night in bed acid reflux may occur, due to heavy eating just before bed, but I have slowed down and taken track of foods I eat and eating small pieces and slowly eating, this has helped 10 fold, now I'm looking for ways to improve to heal and to stay on track, this video has helped a lot, and look forward to seeing more of your helping tips..
Wow you are the best. I am inspired by your knowledge and the way you care for yourself. I want to be you one day. I’m currently learning how to better live my life and take care of myself after too much anxiety and GERD/ silent reflux.
Thank you for another informative video, Meghan! I have recently gone mostly plant based and still trying to get my body used to the increase in veggies and legumes. 😊
Currently on an elimination diet as of today but I've been thinking of trying a fast and or juice cleanse 🤔 I think my body just needs a break from all of the junk I've been eating.. it's because we've been so busy trying to sell our house and find another place to live and chasing around a toddler, we're just tired most days. 😴 my stomach has been going crazy 🤪 so I know I've gotta slow down and focus on my gut health and get back to feeling better. Thanks for your advice 👍 🙏 😊
Thank you! I am not vegan but I am considering it. Still, I suffer from gastritis and chrone's disease so I am trying to help my gut on my own since doctors don't really help me with detailed guide on how to heal other than drugs for the symptoms ❤ love your youtube channel
I just found your channel but I’m so excited to learn from you. I recently got diagnosed with celiac and I am struggling on every level to get myself healthy. I’m sick of always being sick or constantly exhausted.
Thank you so much for the great video! 💚 I'm so interested in nutrition and gut health and special diets for auto-immune conditions but sometimes info is hard to understand. You explain things in an easy and acessible way 😊🙏
Another two questions/suggestions: what is your take on salt? How much to consume daily? And also would like to know your opinion on soy and soy products like tofu. Are they ok for a sensitive gut?
such an important topic I've come to understand. Thank you for the high level suggestions (for newbies to get started). And leaving the corrections in just makes it very "organic". 👍🏾
wow I am in my 30s and I never knew this... You explained it so well. its like a light bulb went . off on my head , Thanks to you Meghan. I have hypo thyroid can you do a weight loss or diet video for hypo thyroid. Thank you God bless
can you make a video on foods to eat more for higher iron or smtg along the lines of that because I have an iron deficiency and there are not many videos or resources online? If possible, can you include plant-based options as well? Thank you.
Very good tips ! Espectially the 80% full, I really needed to hear that :) Also I absolutely love that you didn't edit out the parts where you did little "mistakes" while talking. It makes it more organic and this is just so cute! We see you more as a humain that we can relate too and less like a 100% perfect person that makes us feel bad/deminished about ourselves.
The 80% full tip makes a big difference for sure! And haha I'm glad you enjoyed those little snippets! I sometimes edit things like that out but I agree, I think it's fun to keep them in. Keeps things real!
I used to eat refined carbs and mostly meat for years(red meat, chicken, etc). About a month ago I changed my diet, less refined carbs & meat and also started adding veggies and fruit to my diet. My body probably haven't got used to the whole healthy diet thing cause I'm having problem with stools and I feel gassy all the time, does anyone know how long does your body need to adjust to a new diet?
Hi Meghan, nice video thanks for sharing. Is it possible for you to do video for kids with type1 diabetic. What kind a food and vitamins are good for them and possibly some good food recipes. I would greatly appreciate that. Stay safe and healthy. Thank u🙂
None of your courses are available for purchase, even the downloadable. When would you have them again le again? Btw I love your content is inspiring and helpful, I love it.
I thank you for explaining how things work because most people like myself appreciate it. I do pick and choose which ones I think I would like more. BLESSINGS. I can't eat to much raw foods so I steam them a little and they help. Probotic and prebotics are so important.
Hi Meghan, I just discovered your vlog today and have been learning so much useful stuff! Do you think IF (Intermittent Fasting) is good for gut health?
Hi Meghan! It would also be interesting to hear any recommendations about the meat consumption and meat cooking for the people with and without gut/digestion issues. And also if you have any tips on how to define what portion size is usually enough if there is a struggle with applying the "~80% being full" method. (I am currently trying to apply the "handful method" so I don't overeat). Because sometimes the crave for some flavour in the mouth is stronger than the feeling of being almost full 😅. And big thank you for sharing your knowledge, it is always a pleasure to learn from you! 😊
Hi Meghan. I’m a new subscriber and absolutely love your videos. I have been struggling with IBS since I was 13. What tips or lifestyle changes did you do to overcome it?
Hi Meghan, I hope you see this comment. Would you be willing to do a food chart for improving digestion and IBS? It would be of immense help as I've been suffering from these issues for years. . Great content btw💚
Loved the tips!!!! What would you recommend for someone that can’t eat garlic or onion? What foods would you recommend to eat that are good probiotics?
Can you do a video about the types of food that can help with psoriasis? After I had an allergic reaction to hair dye, I developed small red circles on my stomach. It’s getting worse, and I really don’t want to takes meds or anything for it. Wondering if you had any advice. Love your videos !
Hi there! The low FODMAP diet is very helpful for those with IBS as a temporary solution for minimizing gut symptoms (such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea in some cases), understanding triggers, and then re-introducing foods slowly. I personally followed the low FODMAP diet for a while when my IBS was very severe. It was very helpful. Hey Megan! I've heard low fomap is good for gut health, but I'm not sure. What's your thoughts on it, and should I do it or not? Thanks ❤️
