I highly suggest you take him to park in actual bays because the whole point of parking during the actual test is to finish inside both lines. the fact that he can get his car inside a certain space (that isn't marked at all) doesn't mean he will also get it inside the required lines. it's good practice to make him think about his steering, but for everything else bays will be your best friends to learn how to properly park. I'm speaking from personal experience!

100% agree!! This guy wants to pass and keep his determination up no matter how difficult something is. We were all in his position at some point and had to learn the basics. Yes, some people take longer than others but as long they can learn everything and drive safely then it doesn’t matter how long it takes to get the license, but gotta make sure to pass in the standards the examiners expect you to. Keep up the hard work and god hope he doesn’t read the comments.

I passed 2 weeks ago on my first attempt and now driving alone…. Without your instructor of family, it’s a whole new experience!
Folks rush for the test, instead of taking the time to learn and practice….. it’s a giant hunk of metal that you are driving at speed, you could kill your self or others so easily…. Tests should only be taken when completely ready.

Jeremy you gotta teach him about observations I feel like overall that’s the main thing examiners look out for other than safe driving. Even though people probably don’t use it too much after you pass, for the actual test it’s needed.
most unfortunatly dont continue safe driving which is why so many insurance claims, lots of poor drivers out there.

Get this boy 40-50 hours with an instructor to not only unlearn his bad bad habits, but to grow new healthy ones and become a compotent driver. You can still do lessons with him in between to actually see his progress! It would still make good content!

I done parallel parking today i was so good! in a few easy stages (pull up along side car slighting forward , reverse back till ur left wing mirror in with stationary car back door handle , full turn of wheel to left reverse till 2oclock angle , turn wheel once full turn to right bring it back (till car in in space near curb ) then straighten wheels and slowly reverse back till straight in space 🎉

I recently got my driving licence and I just learnt something so helpful from Jeremy related to fix myself when I park haha I'm used to do the same thing as his brother with the steering in reverse when it's so much easier to just reverse straight and fix forward... thanks!
Yeah, that is exactly how you are supposed to do. Of course not all situations will allow you reverse straight in and fix, but keeping your wheel straight will make life so much easier when reverse in. Checking mirrors and blind spots will be so much easier when you wheel is straight by the way.

Backwards parallel parking in a little space between 2 cars is missing. I had to do it back in my test and i am glad i trained it beforehand.. As well as parking between 2 cars in a bay specifically at a supermarked is also a good practise before he has his official test. Just saying, also nice to see the car didnt die during this lesson
Before i passed in 1999 i was told a few words of wisdom from my instructor "expect the unexpected" and "the tester wants to see a safe driver"

STOP having him pull up on kerbs too! You do NOT do that on a test and it will result in an immediate fail
Instead of saying ‘think about it’ with the reverse steering the Simplest way of explaining so it gets through is by telling him “which ever way you want the BACK of the car to go that’s the SAME way to turn the wheel” As much as that seems totally obvious nothing is obvious enough to a learner and at the moment what he’s thinking about is how to change the position of the front of the car in order to reverse that’s why he’s steering the wrong way.
But yeah the driving and instructing is getting better. Well done

Juvenal must have one hell of a guardian angel to have not run anyone over yet.
Also, there is no chance he is going to pass his test for lots of reasons (no offence to him), but you take control too much meaning he never learns for himself. I know it might be safer that way because he's pretty useless (no offence again), but he does need to understand for himself when he needs to stop reversing or stop turning as an examiner certainly won't tell him (they also won't keep putting it into reverse for him lol).

Jeremy .. telling Juvy to carry on reversing whist there is a scooter, vehicle or child /pedestrians of any type will be an instant fail on a practical test .. I’m sorry but you are doing him a disservice by letting him lie about mirrors ( another fail especially as often as he’s missing mirrors) , the manuvers are pulling up on the right ( you have to check mirrors not just pull over) and reverse two car lengths, reversing into a bay : break it down give him references ( he is not using mirrors so thats also an issue) you can easily check online how these things are supposed to be done to pass! ( I speak from experience I failed my first test for reversing without a left blind spot . For mirrors its centre mirror right mirror ( for right turns) and same for left . If you truly want him to pass then you need to sort this stuff out !!!😮

He needs to get some driving lessons with an official driving instructor, there's so many small details he's missing out, that'll just turn into serious's on his test if he's repeating them

They won't ask you to just pull in to gaps they will ask you to do one type of parking and pull on the left when it's safe they won't tell you you have to go in to a specific section other than a parallel park once maybe

I think in the test they will ask you to reverse parallel park, not forward parallel park ❤
Ask you to do 1 of 4 , pull up on right, forward bay park, reverse bay park, parallel park.
@Chris Blandford Yeah 😊 but if it's the parallel park, you pull up alongside another car and reverse in backwards, not drive in forwards like they were practicing.

Put some white tape on the top of the steering wheel for the Guy bro so he knows when the steering wheel is straight also get him some small blind spot mirrors so it's easier for him when parallel parking got faith in him but he needs some extra help them little things are what my instructor had on his car and I passed first try 🤟🏻🤟🏻
