      Depends if your african and the examiner is white and racist otherwise they’ll ignore it as long as its not for a long long distance. Happened to my african learner who had 20 years driving experience and went over by 2 miles in Chingford test centre.

    Jason reminds me of my examiner, mine really put me at ease and we got chatting away and found out we’d worked in the same area and probably met each other in passing. I clarified before I set off if it was ok for me to acknowledge/thank other drivers or if he’d do that (was told to drive safely and control the car) Found him so friendly we even had a few jokes and the test flew by and I was so calm. I think we had more banter as I was an older learner so we were a similar age. I thanked my examiner for being so nice after I’d found out I’d passed🙂

      Personally I think it is way too high, though. Someone making 15 faults on a 45 minute test is making a fault every 3 minutes. If you can't go 5 minutes without making a mistake then you are a danger on the road 😂

    I know it was a joke, but I defo did a hill start on my test in Milton Keynes. Just cause we have roundabouts doesn't mean they're all flat (also some of them are light controlled and you endy up stopped on a hill)- plus the test isn't in the city centre and is actually in Bletchley and surrounding areas. where there is a very tricky set of roundabouts

  • @SamilyRose
    @SamilyRose Месяц назад +1

    Watching this after passing hits different!
    I just want to say that everything Jason said was with me on my test. The examiner really helped me out in a tricky situation with unexpected temporary traffic lights on a busy high street and was very light-hearted, in fact we had a laugh at state of one of the roads and said it was like Off-Roading 😂
    I thought I'd failed for doing over the speed limit right at the start on a Dual Carriageway, but he said I corrected it immediately and only got a minor, but because I thought I'd failed I relaxed and just wanted feedback regardless. I did the best reverse bay park of my life back at the test centre and I thought he left it out on the route as I'd failed, but I still wanted good feedback.
    I didn't notice him once tap the iPad and he wasn't wearing a hi-vis which was so helpful!
    I definitely did the best driving of my life on the test which I didn't expect as I was absolutely petrified beforehand. Something happened to me once I got in the car to give me a kick in the backside. No idea what, it was surreal!
    Thanks again, guys ❤

    The problem with alot of the things covered is different examiners say different things.And you cannot argue the result at the end.
    1. The roundabout bearing left.What if there was a motorbike on the right hand side of you?
    2. Six point check, Pupils have failed for not doing this and high built up areas with lots of pedestrians , so why not teach its something to do every time you move off?
    3. Give way, all about open and closed junctions and understanding the difference. So agree there, however even in a 30mph people will drive fast and you have to be cautious.
    Building good habits and being prepared is how pupils should been taught.
    The biggest issue is things that might never happen on the driving lessons occur in test and you need to have prepared ways to deal with them if so.

      @j.4354 Месяц назад +1

      Nothing to be nervous about if your instructor is confident in your ability then you’re all good my advice is with moves such as looking at your mirror make sure it’s evidently clear you’re looking at your mirrors or doing the correct action you’re suppose to do, I failed my first driving test back in 2019 because I didn’t move my head that much when checking my mirrors so they thought I wasn’t checking my mirrors and failed me just from that. Second time I got one minor. Don’t worry about it.

    i believe a bear left is like when you have multiple lanes and to go left, U HAVE to go in the left lane, its sorta like a merge?
    so basically your turning left, but you dont have to do anything apart from following the road, whereas at that junction in the video.. u had to stop, and check to see if you could go..
    13:52 if you were in the left lane and went left, id call that bearing left as you are sticking to the left lane to go to that exit, but its a left turn

      bear left varies from road to road, bear left in the case of this clip means to keep following the road that "bares round to the left" (so follow the road in the same direction) but on a motorway when coming to an offramp bare left means to be on the left most lane to that offramp.
      The reason some roads are like this is thanks to road markings with give way double lines. some roads can be "straight" in direction but actually be a left or right turn due to how the road is marked so satnavs would then use the term "bear left or right" if such a bend exists to imply "keep on the same road"

    No it’s not just the backlog. Why no one mentions all this greedy people that buying the slots and selling them?? I had to give an extra £140 +62 for the test to someone to give me an earlier test date for September for my third attempt which is coming soon, otherwise I had to wait till next year..

      Agreed. It's a massive problem. When there's a shortage of something then people can profit and thats what they're doing. If there was such a large supply that you wouldnt need to pay the resellers, you could just buy one in the normal way, their business model would crumble instantly. But that's just my opinion

    Bear left tends to mean when the road bears off to the left meaning the road turns that way at less of an angle then it would at a junction where you need to slow down then turn sat navs can't figure out the difference between when a road bears left or right and a junction when its less than a 45 degree turn
