I just passed first time today with three minors. Thanks for all the help Francis, especially with the West Wickham routes. Advice to anyone taking a test, even if you are *absolutely* certain you failed, still try your best. I thought I failed on two occasions: once where I emerged on a major road with a car coming & I had to stamp on the brakes, & the second where I braked quite sharply to tuck in on a hill with a car close behind, then stalled the car, & then rolled back quite a bit. Yet both incidents were marked as driving faults & I still passed so please don't ever give up during your test.
Had my test at 11:11 at Wood Green. I passed first time with 4 minors. I was shaking like crazy and kept on telling the examiner I’m sorry I’m putting your through this. And he still passed me! So happy! These videos where and still will be a great help!
28:53 yes you should Do a video on what type of car is a good first car and why a petrol car is best type of car for London 😮😊 36:12 a bad way to fail Good he passed Thank you for the video Keep up the content Suzuki Alto and volkswagen VW polo is considered a good first car for young people
No blind spot check at the beginning , but absolutely brilliant video had good laugh at the same time i see that learner is trying to hold his nerve and keeping himself busy but on test one small tip for him just talk to himself very quietly and concentrate more rather than just assuming each time he failed he gets that’s out of his head then he will surely do a better driving and hopefully pass imo !
Well done Bobby 👏 😊🎉🎉🎉. Francis soo nice and friendly, i had to leave my instructor because i made a couple of mistakes got 2 faults on my mock test and he was very judgemental and said i best do my test in my car ,but he took my money for my lesson and text me afterwards which put me off 🙄...i was going to give up and sell my car everything...But now im doing a on line course to learn 🎉🎉..Anyway Congratulations 🎊 👏 👌🌟
I’d love a video on petrol v diesel as I learnt in a my instructors diesel Corsa then went straight to driving my Golf Plus petrol without any lessons in my own car and absolutely hated it at first, had to force myself to go out driving and needed to kind of teach myself biting point and hill starts again. I’m ok with the petrol engine now but wish I’d have known about both before I started. I’d also love to see a video on your take on manual v automatic as I’m considering swapping but wondering if I’ll regret it if I do.
Hey Alison! I've definitely got petrol vs diesel on my list of upcoming videos, thank you!! I've done manual vs automatic I'll link it below. This video will help show you the main differences... disclaimer: I love manual so I might be a TINY bit biased. But in the video I tried an auto electric car as well and absolutely loved it! ruclips.net/video/54BVcO9HnNQ/видео.html
My test centre is West Wickham Please, I want to know at Coney Hall roundabout ,which line we have to take on Croydon road ,while coming from Glabe Way, because cars are parked on left lane very close to the roundabout. Do I've to come in first line ,then indicate & move to 2nd one? Or directly come to 2nd line? Many thanks.
petrol / diesel id say id depends turbo or not turbo petrol makes a huge difference as some small engine petrol with a turbo just as much as a diesel in torque. i learned in a diesel first car was a diesel 1.4tdci fiesta, written off by old lady a year later and time crunch to get a car for keeping insurance going i went for 1.2 i20 but it has 90nm my fiesta diesel had 120nm but petrol had more power. just means more changing gears esp hills. but if it was Citroen 1.4 petrol 70bhp and 70nm its gutless for a bigger car. only reason i went petrol it was not a big loss in torque plus it had few more bhp so few more revs solves that, still got it 4 years later, for uk nanny limits never had issue getting up to speed, 2nd do 50mph one more change im up to highest limit. the petrol weighs less at only 1.1 ton with tank fuel the fiesta was close to 1.4 ton so less weight its nippy when needs to be uses double the fuel over the fiesta tho what was shock, so double the fuel then fuel costs double again so that really took me by surprise but not got ust to it. if the engine was like Citroen id never got a petrol but it performs well you can be a bit lazy and you get away with it but not as much fiesta diesel , and 1.1 ton great fun in the corners and had fun with much more powerful cars, so impressed by i20 1.2 very reliable also every thing to maintain it very reasonable, disk and pad £60 a corner, tires £60 a corner a back box £120. i was hoping the clutch last out was only planning keep car a year but happy with it 4 years later original clutch 100k miles so not bad and 4 years no eco driver and was showing signs when i got it and with service and mot and clutch kit inc fitting it was £500 what a good price, so i am looking at getting new gen of the i20 like the look and same reliable engine but a few extras like cruise control. and now with most petrol's with a small turbo you not going to notice torque lack off they pretty good and close to or same as diesel. yes if going for older and possible a french car then you might notice it a lot more, it took very little adjusting learned in 1.5tdci fiesta had a 1.4tdci fiesta less power what i learned in inc nm, and to i20 1.2 it took very little adjusting because the engine had good torque for engine size and very light weight depends what car you get but most turbo petrol's even if very small engine they normally pretty good
This is really irritating me! WHERE HAVE I SEEN BOBBY BEFORE? Unless I’m going mental (again) Feel like I’ve seen him on TV or summit🤷🏻♂️ Looks so damn familiar………..is it me?!😂 Anyway, great driver! He’s safe, efficient Congrats on passing!
Unless you mean smack bang in the middle of the road, no definitely not mate. You can get a minor for space from cars in front/behind and/or mounting the curb and too many corrections or attempts though.
Thanks for having me Francis! Really enjoyed chatting to you and our drive! 🙏

What’s that video on how to do that roundabout?
11 11 o'clock worked for me and my driving test 😊
Hi, I have my test soon and was wondering if I could do a mock test with you pleaseee
At the round about will it be wrong if I chose the middle lane and stayed there to exit instead of starting on the far right lane like he did ?
