*CLOSE CALL* CAR NEARLY GOES OFF ROAD DURING DRIVING LESSON!

- This is driving lesson #8 where I'm teaching my FIRST TIME learner driver little brother how to drive a manual car on PUBLIC ROADS so that he can pass his driving test! Today, I'm making sure he's ready for his UK driving practical test by nailing down the basics, if he's not then we're switch to an automatic car 👀 Also, that was a close call where the car could have gone off road and possibly crashed 🤕

This was definitely a step back in his lessons, soo many faults during this drive no mirror checks no blind spot checks positioning of the car and just hitting the indicator whenever without even checking your mirrors this happened continuously he needs to watch his vids and take notes on what he’s doing wrong instead of just saying I don’t know what happened, he has improved but genuinely I’d be petrified if I was a passenger with him

The worst part is actually how he handles the steering wheel while turning. Crazy
At this rate he’s never passing
1. Looks down at the gears when changing
2. As he moves off he doesn’t check his blind spot instead he checks it before moving off
3. Doesn’t check his mirrors after passing parked cars
4. He doesn’t know how to correctly use a roundabout
For him to actually pass his test he needs an actual driving instructor not his brother.
There are probably around 50 people who have said the exact same thing. They both seem to have huge egos. I just can’t stand the parts when Jeremy went out to inspect the car and all Juvenal did was just sit there. Like cmon! Juvenal did the damage and he can’t be bothered to even get out of the car and see what he’s done. This family probably pampers him so much till he has absolutely no clue about basic things which most of us would feel is common sense. Absolutely pathetic human being this Juvenal is.
@@carmelpereira6003 general lack of self awareness and what you said ego tbh, they will learn eventually no matter how slow
i love how jeremy's blind spot checks are deliberate and fuelled with fear. As it should be! sometimes it takes situations like this when you don't have control to finally appreciate why they are necessary!
The reason why the car starts moving to the right is because he's gripping the wheel too hard. If you grip the wheel hard on both sides it's balanced but once you let go, for example when changing gears, there's an imbalance of forces causing the car to go right. It happened to me the first 3-4 hours till I realised and loosened up my grip on the wheel.
Also he does not control his steering by keeping to the centre of his lane which is why he hit the curb. He rushed the gear change and thought he would be able to adjust the steering right after the gear change. We know he did not make it and ended up hitting the kerb. Thats a common mistake too.
Well he’s probably knocked the wheel alignment out (tracking and balancing) so it probably won’t stay balanced in the middle now 😬
Exactly, my instructor always used to say to me stop choking the wheel when I first ever started lool

Let’s be real bro has 0% chance of passing after 10 lessons
My thoughts exactly
The average person takes at least 20+ lessons to pass never mind this guy in 10 lessons😭
@@hehehehejf1357the average person will take around 45 I believe
@@AveChristusRex789 yep, average is 45 hrs
@@hehehehejf1357 Zero blind spot checks on the dual carriageway, has to look at the gears when changing, can’t drive straight whilst changing gears - it’s all just delusional / done for views at this point, even w/ 20 lessons I don’t think he’d pass, my guy needs a real instructor plain and simple lol
Why was bro mounting the curb and going into 4th gear😂💀
He still doesn’t do simple things like check blind spots lol if he doesn’t start to listen he will never pass
Some people jus can't be taught lol.. Doesn't matter how many times you drill it into them it won't stick.
That drive into the curb nearly killed me 😂😂
nearly killed them as well
I love the content but you gas him up he can't drive worth shit. My father runs a driving school and said it takes anywhere from 15-25 lessons and said that 10 lessons is an uncessary risk and this guy is gonna need many more than that realistically. Plus if hes hitting a curb like that after 8 lessons you want to reasses things.
5:45 he lied to you he never check the checks the correct one and he never like to admit he is In the wrong 🤦🏽♂️😅😂😂
My bro still cant do observations properly 😅
you should get him on a fitness journey again for the next series after he passes
Right
Step one would be sacking off driving and making him run/cycle everywhere

It would be entertaining af but if we are going off his driving journey, his attitude and the way he gained weight after losing it previously then it won't it last or be a long series..

His general knowledge of road rules has definitely improved.
Just needs to work on steering control! Great stuff Juvie, keep it up!
he kills me with these micro turns like he's afraid of the steering wherl😂 and it takes FOREVER for him to turn because of this
@@katavia4131 yes he has little to no range in his hands when steering. He loves keeping them at 9 and 3 no matter what.
Im surprised you didn't grab his wheel before he hit the curb, you need to be watching his steering too, also many times he didn't check his mirrors exiting islands, going around cars etc.. and you told him that he did good
He praises him way too much when in reality he's had a pretty poor drive on numerous occasions (as always, unfortunately). Also, as a driver, you can't seemingly be scared of everything like the bus - what was even wrong with that part? lol. Finally, Juvenal says "I don't know" too often to mistakes - if he doesn't know what he did wrong, he won't know how to fix it next time.
@@chris_gh2639 exactly im currently teaching my 18 year old son and i make sure he understands what hes doing wrong not just ask him if he knows then move on without explaining.
My son almost hit the kerb twice in his first few lessons but i didn't just let him hit it, could of ended badly
@@chris_gh2639 Yes, I hate when he makes a mistake and says well what can i do like its not his fault, this is why he will never learn. Like he will literally run a red light and say well what was i supposed to do. If nothing changes, this will be a never ending loop of fail after fail.
yeah he does say to him alot 'nice' or 'doing good man' and I am literally like he just did about four serious faults in the space of like two minutes problem is Juvy don't realise he is doing things wrong like on the medium sized roundabouts they do he is never signalling to come off he is fine on mini roundabouts and he got his own issues for big roundabouts but on the medium sized ones he needs to signal to come off but he doesn't then Jeremy just says nice or good job man but if he does that on his test sure its a minor up until he does it three times then it turns into a serious fault
its so stressful watching him drive 😂
I definitely think do the test in an automatic, and that will help then once he’s done that he can carry on to do the manual test.
Juvenal is defo getting better, but he’s slipping in to no side mirror checks again and only looking in the rear view mirror and that’s after signalling or slowing etc.
I hope he’s watching the videos and looking at his driving as I think that will really help and he needs to be doing the blind spot checks too.
To be honest I was just waiting for the tire to blow or something to happen to the car after that hit to the curb and I was concerned on how Juve would deal if that happened, I’m really glad you both got home safe, but please get the car checked before you go out in it again.
Juvenal wants to drive an automatic car anyway. Jeremy pushed Juvenal to pass in a manual car when that's not going to happen. It's amazing how Jeremy cares about himself but not Juvenal.
Juvenal is copying Jeremy by not doing blindspot checks. The Peugeot 206 Hatchback is already in a bad condition. Juvenal should carry on driving in a Toyota Yaris.
I don't think 10 lessons will be enough for Juvenal. He still needs a lot more work.
Juvy is a menace to the roads
Anyone else interested in how much insurance Jeremy is paying for him to learn. Can’t imagine what the insurance companies reaction is 💀to this
Learner insurance is £245 per year with Collingwood
@@martiangod Acc that’s cheap I would idk expect it to be way higher
@@HelloByeHi190 learner insurance is very cheap. You can also get insured with cars with big engines. You could possibly get insurance on a BMW X3M Competition as a learner. When you pass your test though thats when you can't drive shit. The reason why its so cheap is because learners drive only a few hours a week or even less so the risk is lower. Plus, you will have someone next to you who is responsible making you drive slow as hell.
@@danieltesfaye8517 you make some good points but I just want to say that a learner should be taught to drive at an apppropriate speed. Not too fast or too slow.
He needs a proper instructor having lessons on certain topics for better progression. Big brother is gassing him up big time. 😅
As a driving instructor i am watching this with morbid curiosity , I get that Jeremy is a social media person and building content for his viewers and seems a nice guy, but he's not an instructor. when i watch this i am looking and listening to Jeremys faults not his brothers. Talking about doing a test after 8 lessons whens hes clearly not ready. Giving his bro a false sense of his skill level. Their friend and proper instructor Aman needs to step in. Maybe she is privately.
@@1968iant aye these videos are funny af though 🤣 but yeah hopefully he gets a proper instructor cause no way he passing EVER with jeremy

However many takes it took him to get the theory, it’s going to take double that for him to pass the practical. Imagine not having lane discipline after 8+ lessons.
He is getting better but still not checking his mirrors but saying he is! I really think he needs to drive automatic only as that clip of the kerb could have flipped your whole car upside down and been fatale! Also Jeremy your doing a fab job encouraging your brother however try not to pull on the hand brake if something goes wrong as this will just make the car skid and cause and accident! He needs the last few lessons with Aman
Bro him passing in 10 lessons is just setting him up for failure he needs at least 60 lessons
How his sitting there in the car asking "is there nothing? why does it take him ages to change to second gear it’s triggering 😂
bro I know fffssss
Coz he doesn't know when to change gears. He never downshifts either.
its funny watching him fighting the gear stick trying to get into a gear😅🤣

The main thing he gotta focus and work on is his steering lol. He’s def got much better but he steers so aggressively💀😭
Love watching his lessons I really thought he flipped the car 🫣but wow he has improved that’s for sure. Mirror checks need to be more turn his head not just the eyes. But his getting there.. keep going !!!
We need the "alright cool basically" back in the intros.
apparently 32 hours of driving as a learner is needed
need to get him a proper instructor not gonna lie
Instructors would get so much money from him 😂. Not a good idea
@@prathwas1665 but he’d be much better at driving after
@@prathwas1665kid’s already spent over £250 on theory tests I don’t think they’re worried about the money 😅
A trick to changing gear while holding the wheel is to pull on it outwards slightly, your hand may move up or down when changing gear but if your pulling outwards it will move up or down far less, not hard but just train your brain when you grab the gear stick to pull out on the wheel with your right hand, or pull back or press straight, coz if your hand is just slack and you change gear your hand will naturally move up or down on the wheel for learners
12:57 But that's the point, Juvenal. You need to give other cars some space. As long as there's no cars coming from the other side, you have no choice.
Bro we not gonna make it to 10 lessons😢
10:10 this part killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
The government tested the emergency alert for when Juvenal passes
Seriously Juvy changing cars is not the issue , yes he’s improved but he’s now coming up to roundabouts way , way to fast , without checking to the right ( certainly in the first half of the video) he drifted which is why he hit the payment so hard & is still getting too close to parked vehicles , you shouldn’t be driving on a ripped tire.Juvy needs to be getting these basics right to have a chance at passing his practical test, to be honest at this point all switching to an Auto is going to do is make him more lazy with mirrors etc . Good luck
Yes I was screaming check your blind spots 🤦🏻♀️
Yeah no way in hell I would drive on a ripped tyre
video starts with you being parked on double yellow lines, this bro aint got a chance in passing anything but a weight check
Yeah mate almost there nearly ready for his test mate definitley 😂😂😂😂😂😂
In the starting of the video when he said close to finish i felt that when they was just going to met with an accident 😆
When youre changing gears put your right hand more to the top middle of the steering wheel that way your hand isnt weighing the wheel either way

@@vChillyoh ok
Ok so with my stroppy other comment out the way, here we go for this weeks advice.
All good until the lane change on the dual carriage way. He checked his mirrors but he checked his rear and left mirror before changing into the right lane. It has to be rear and right mirror, that right mirror is most important and should be the last thing he checks because hes going into the right lane, left mirror is useless there. On the roundabout just afyer was similar, he just flicked on his indicator, glanced at the rear mirror and moved over. He needs to check the mirror really well in the direction of travel, BEFORE, he starts moving. Same thing as you came off that roundabout, he was missing his exit so you told him but then he just went left, didnt check the left mirror at all. As for thr national speed limit. Wrong on both unfortunately, 1 that wasnt a dual carriage way as there was no central verge, 2 if it was a dual the speed limit would be 70 not 60. He got the 60 limit right but by mistake thinking it was a dual and thinking duals are 60. Duals are 70mph singles are 60mph. That mini roundabout he was way to fast he would of failed outright there, there way a roundabout sign there to warn you even, he shouldnt of missed that, he was going way to fast. He didnt check his left mirror when you pulled up when doing the safe place pull up, then lied and said he checked them. Mate its on camera, your only lying to yourself which hurts your driving learning, be honest when you mess up. He dosnt seem to understand which mirrors to check and when. When he got too close to those parked cars he should have stopped before the white one. If theres not room stop. When he turned right, there were no mirrors before he signalled right and more importantly not right mirror before he crossed the oncomming lane to turn right, thats really important incase some idiot tries to overtake as you turn right, happens all the time.
Yeah I agree with you not too much for me to add though. I would say he would definitely get a minor for use of speed in the mini roundabout. I do not think it would fail automatically as long as he did not inconvenience somebody which he nearly did by going on the opposite side of the road before Jeremy saved him. It was mainly his steering while changing gear and steering while going around roundabouts is an issue. He rushes the gear changes and holds the wheel in the same place which makes him weave out of lane. His use of speed is shocking I think it would be fail for use of speed as I'm sure there were 4 moments of him speeding around the roundabout not seeming in control of the car. It is evident with the way he is aggressively steering the car. He clearly does not know how to pull away quickly as he keeps momentum when he gets to a clear roundabout. The examiner would not feel safe and would definitely fail him for the way he deals with roundabouts. Other than that yeah I agree with everything else with what you are saying. There is plenty he is doing wrong and I do not think he is ready for his test. Tests are gold dust right now and imagine Juvenal passing his test. Every single person who has a licence would have to swallow their pride because if Juvenal can pass everyone can. Having a licence does not mean you have driving skills it means you are "safe" enough to drive alone.

100% you should have cancelled the lesson after the kerb incident. If you doubt the condition of the tyre it’s better to drive back and park up instead of continuing.
The rattling later on is most likely a damaged shock absorber or possibly a cracked wheel bearing both of which are dangerous enough for an experienced driver never mind one in training.

I'll leave it there
Please Jeremy tell your brother to look at his blindspots a lot better especially coming off roundabouts that is one very important thing. Also a heads up since junvenal has glasses get him to turn his head than his eyes so that the examiner makes it easy to know that he is using his blindspots. Another one he is not checking his blindspots when he is coming onto a roundabout coming off or merging. Very dangerous especially on a motorway.
Another hint if he is in 3rd gear on a roundabout he is going too fast needs to go down one.
Hope this helps
His facial expressions was just BRUH😂😂😂😂
Reason hes swerving when driving onehanded is cuz hes probably not looking where he wants to go, rather locking his eyes on the line, hence getting close to it even if he doesnt wanna, plus he might be holding onto the wheel hard, not gently.
Jeremy and Juvenal should win the best driving meme awards separately!
