Pulled the trigger on this cam last week I’m only 10 minutes from their shop but can’t get me in until July for install. Pretty excited.
If you like the way it sounds, you’re gonna love the way it shakes sitting at a stoplight!

@@Steelcurtainchallenger hey man did mmx do your cam in house or did you have someone else to do it? I dropped my car off last month was told 3 weeks been 4 weeks then they said to call them next Friday for an ETA on when it’s suppose to be done. I paid for cam and headers in may seems like a long time to get the work done or am I being paranoid?

@@SRT_Leoo yeah it’s been great no issues. They are building me a 454 stroker motor now. I also picked up a hellcat lol they are doing a upper pulley swap on that.

Hey there, I'm about to buy the same camshaft package. Other than the 1320 Stall Converter, is there anything else that needs to be upgraded? I.E Forged Pistons and Rods (High Compression) and Head works? Or camshaft + stall converter is all?
You don’t need forged internals with this cam.
Rods, springs, ported heads
I think this is the best sounding 6.4 out there, do they make cam kits for a 5.7 that would sound similar and have pretty good power gains?

You’d have to talk to MMX about a comparable cam for the 5.7
You can cam it yourself like I did my 5.7. Sounds awesome and it really woke it up!

@@eastoakland-S65feen I have heard of people doing that but I believe it requires modification but I could be wrong. I know a lot of people use the 6.1 intake on the 5.7 which seems to fit fairly easily. I personally will be putting the Edelbrock Victor intake on mine.

I was planning to buy the same thing but I was confused on what to purchase because it has the push rods and other stuff and i didn’t wanna buy something I don’t need and I’m just confused what did you get so I won’t mess up😅?

What torque converter did you go with? I installed a circle d 3000-3200 stall and I’m having issues with shifting wot
I’m using the stock converter for the 1320. The ME V2 cam was designed, in part, to maximize the OEM TC the 1320 shares with the Demon

@@Scatpack-kd3wz sorry barely saw this. Ya I replaced the transmission pan and filter and did a transmission flush. Fixed the issue. Might’ve had a clogged filter

As good as it sounds, I'm thrilled at the performance gains! I did a 10.98 late last year in 500 DA, and consistent 11.1's & 11.2's this year in 2000 DA, thanks to the tuning of Brent Hughes of DTP.
On the street, this cam is very "drive-able", but the added bonus is at stoplights; it catches everyone's attention with its chop and shaking. You have to be a bit more alert with brake use in traffic, but nothing extreme.

They quoted me this cam plus the 1320 converter which they say will help with the bucking and surging a little bit but said it still has some. I just don't want it to be a handful and make it not enjoyable to drive. Sounds so killer man! Any issues with reliability since you've had it installed? Were you happy with their tuning?
@@TboneSRT for the street, MMX's tune was fine. I race mine quite a lot, and their tune left some room for improvement racing-wise. There's no issue driving this cam; you're going to love it!
@Steelcurtainchallenger perfect! I figured thats the reason why you went with a different tune! I won't be racing it much. Maybe 5 times a year if that. Just some street pulls. But I mostly like to cruise. Heck I only put about 800 miles on it this year. Appreciate the replies!

Depends on what you want to end up with. This cam is focused on performance. While I have no issues driving it around town, it may be a bit much for a daily

Stayed choppy. The changes in the tune was primarily for racing conditions

You should confirm with MMX, but at minimum the 2320/Demon torque converter.
Highly recommended also new rods & springs, and porting the heads.

Who tuned it for you? Mine doesn’t chop as hard and it’s not as refined as it should be with my current tune.
MMX did the install tune. I wasn't satisfied with the results on the track (ran fine on street) so I had Brent Hughes of DTP Racing take a look and tweak the tune further. Now I'm REALLY satisfied with results on the track

It’s a different animal altogether. At a stoplight it shakes and strains to burst forth like a thoroughbred
@@Steelcurtainchallenger Any issues with tuning for it? Looking at this cam for my GC SRT and trying to find people who have em and how the driving is around town.
@@jharrison860 No issues driving around town at all…unless you consider the looks you’ll get at stoplights “issues”. I ended up going with DTP for final tuning based on drag strip results, but for everyday driving tuning MMX was fine.

Stock: 11.428 @ 118.36 with a 60' of 1.617
Cammed: 10.982 @ 121.79 with 60' of 1.545
I've gotten slightly higher mph of 122.10 with an ET of 11.16

@@TheJMan1K I have pretty much identical mods to my 6.4, just a slightly different grind cam. Make about the same WHP. The Fords and GMs are just better platforms to power add, to be honest. Some guys throw a SC on the 6.4s stock, but you're really risking the pistons without getting forged ones.
@@TheJMan1K just get the hellcat if you want performance, they can handle abuse. 392 is more better for daily use imo
Just to enlighten some of the people in this comment section he could have gotten forged pistons and rods for an extra 2-3k and would be able to withstand all the boost you’d ever want. And before anyone try’s to hit me with the “just get a hellcat” I’ve got a built scat pack and overall I’ll be thousands upon thousands cheaper and much fast when done

Don’t know what “Stage 3” is; stages are marketing ploy. It’s the largest cam that will fit OEM heads (ported).

Did you need a converter
No. In my discussions with CamMotion (source of the cam core) and MMX, Cam Motion wanted to max out the 1320’s TC and the Max Effort V2 is the result.
Stock exhaust?
Stainless Works headers, hi-flow cats, but stock after that.
