I've been marathoning your videos Tia. I just have to say I am absolutely floored how big of a game changer Pantry Meals are! I made a Lentil Shepherds Pie tonight out of the pantry. No recipe required!!! Thank you so much for all the tips. My grocery list is going to be so different. Game Changer yall!!!
Thank you for great inspiration meals! Oh and I love your organized pantry!! so jealous of all the room in it.
Loved your honesty with us about the alcohol. I can completely relate. That is how my husband and I got together. It was many years later that we realized that I wasn't really being me then, but thank you Jesus that we are still together and able to be honest and talk about it. And thank you for the pantry chef ideas...I can totally get with this. SIMPLICITY!!! Thank you again and keep making the videos.
Ahhhh same here. I met my husband drinking and partying and thankfully we both have settled down together and come to similar conclusions about alcohol. Happy that was the case for you too.
Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing your story. I had the exact same thing happen . I was uncomfortable socializing as well . Abstaining from alcohol was the best decision. I am just me. I’m ok with that. ☺️
Tia, what you are saying about drinking and being an extrovert is EXACTLY how I used to be in my 20's and 30's (I'm now 45) and OMG I am SO not an extrovert. I can 100% relate to your story. Thank you for sharing this!

I can relate so much with your story regarding alcohol. It's exactly how I felt and transitioned when I stopped drinking alcohol 2 years ago. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoy this kind of content when you show your pantry and how you actually choose what to fix yourself. I like planned meals too. But I do enjoy the raw real process. And as a central Texas girl myself it just seems there is nothing to compare to the beautiful Texas hill country. 🥰🥰
Happy New Year to you! I am a Mom of 6 here in Houston, so we are Texas neighbors! We have ties to Austin (UT & my husbands work) & LOVE Austin! Thanks for taking the viewers on the trails, ahhh, the Hill Country! I am startting a plant-based diet, so I appreciated all the instruction & opinions! XOXOXO
The pantry meal looks yummy! My dh and I switched to WFPB SOS (Salt, Oil, Sugar) Free in June and combined we have lost almost 100 lbs! At first it was very hard for me to cook this new way, but the more I do it, I have found that it's actually a lot easier to cook on the fly then it was before! I love how I can use a baked potato or sweet potato and put dry or water sautéed veggies over the top. The veggies I use would always be what needed to be used up first, or frozen veggies. Give it a squeeze of lemon and it's ready. It's so strange to see people around us gaining weight during the pandemic and here we are, losing it. I, like you, had stopped drinking alcohol as well. Love your channel!
Wow - way to go. SO happy to hear you are getting healthy especially during this time. Awesome - thank you so much for sharing and for watching the video.
Love the video and of course We would love to see you make more videos in the spur of the moment with the ingredients you have in your beautiful pantry. Thanks for posting and helping us live our best life.
Okay awesome. I think all the meals I share may be sour of the moment from now on haha You’re so welcome. I love love love sharing! Best of luck to you
Thank you for sharing and keeping it real . You have encouraged me on my wfpb journey. I started in July and have come off cholesterol meds!! Keep the recipes and life stories coming!
I am just trying to incorporate WFPB into my lifestyle by trying some new recipes and it is labor intensive. Three nights and a lot of dirty dishes... but I've discovered three meals that I can out together quickly now that I've done a few. My family liked all three. More importantly, they were flavorful, filling and can be created with canned and frozen and precooked foods. There will be some prep with fresh whole food but weekends are a good time to plan ahead. Thanks for showing your videos. It's helpful, especially for packing my lunches. I envy your pantry. No family member will keep to my easy organizational system.
This is so great you are finding a way to make it easier - the key is keeping the meals simple and using as many whole plant foods as you can. Sounds like you are getting the hang of it :). Best of luck to you.
@@HealthyVeganMama I was the one with the coffee question. I took it out of my diet at the beginning of this year and I had no energy. When I exercised on the elliptical I struggled and didn’t know why. I added the coffee back in and my energy has improved. I hate to say that it might be the coffee but I’m not sure what it is. Hey great vid. I've been doing this for a while and tried lots of ways (gained weight in the beginning coming from low-carb portion control to HCLF) but I've learned a lot in the past almost 4 years and am really focusing on calorie density, whole foods and 50/50 plate method. Was wondering what Omega supplement you take. I work from home and I really feel like I need more mental focus and clarity. Also about the alcohol. I gave up all alcohol back in January for almost 150 days. I had been a habit nightly wine drink for a long time (years) and was just sick of how it made me feel and how it made me crave vegan junk food (night eating was a big problem for me and sabotaged my weight loss efforts). After the 150 days I started experimenting with a couple of nights of having a few glasses of wine then back off of it for 7 days to 2 weeks and so on and I definitely found that when I drink I don't sleep as well, I wake up in the middle of the night and snack, and wake up the next day basically feeling like sh*t both physically and mentally. It makes me feel depressed. I've done this enough times to know with 100% certainty that when I do decide to have a glass of wine or a drink that I'm going to wake up not feeling as good about myself and life. It's a choice. Most of the time I'm planning to choose to abstain and feel good
So happy you are figuring it all out and making it work for you. I can totally understand moving from the low carb where you're restricting, to this amazing way of eating...where you actually get to eat like we should be doing :) Calorie density is the key to weight loss - so glad you are understanding it. Way to go! Best of luck to you.
Beautiful scenery! Whereabouts in Texas are you filming? I live in San Antonio. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now come on didn’t realize you were in Texas!
i too love that idea of quickly & easily throwing stuff together to eat well, but i doubt i would have microwaved the brocolli separately, (2 lazy for that) i would have just chucked it in the pot to heat with the beans and capsicums and rice. im always tossing leftovers in a bowl or pot together to use up as many as possible, whilst getting as many diff nutrients as i can from the diff veges & legumes. Then if the total heated mix looks unappealing cos the leftover this & that are a bit over-mushed altogether, i roll up scoops of the mush in crunchy lettuce leaves or wholegrain wraps so i dont have to look at it! lol. But i need to include that lovely cheese sauce of yours! Sooooo... i know you keep jars of it onhand in the fridge...but in these quick meal situations... do u add it cold to your tacos? is that what u did in this vid? cos you didnt show us whether u pour some from your jar into like a cup then microwave it first? or is it nice cold to just pour or drizzle a bit over your meal?
You do whatever works for you. Perfect. No everything is warmed. My husband had just made the cheese sauce for later so I took some and used fir the tacos.
I’d luv some sort of seasoned broccoli recipe, ive completely gone off broccoli, mushrooms and leaves eating wfpb! But have started to like brown rice and beans which is good xox
Thank you! So encouraging ma'am! I'm mama of three littles and feel tired all the time😭. Not plant based yet but thinking about it. Do you find you have a lot more energy now? I do drink coffee almost all day long, lol but it doesn't seem to help. 😢
I feel for you!!! I had three kids in a very short time span and suffered with chronic fatigue for a long time! In the past couple years I have been on a mainly whole food plant based diet and love it, it simplifies my life :) I still suffer with some fatigue it comes and goes, I have had low iron for years now, since having had three kids, and have not quite figured that one out entirely. Just wanted to let you kow I understand how you feel!!
@@Alma-si5rh Thank you so much! Means a lot to hear that! Yeah my kids are 7, almost 6 and 18 months. I also have struggled with low iron for years. 😑 I may just give it a whirl. Kinda feel like there's nothing to lose so...🤷
Here in Italy is really difficult to find some tortillas or "piadina", 100% flour. The 99% of products contains butter, olive oil or worst, canola oil and other vegetables oils.
Did you have any trouble getting your husband and kids to switch over to plant based? I’ve been introducing Jamie to different things like chickpeas but just not sure if he notice less meat items.
No not really. I just never pushed. They eat mostly plant based now, but they have their moments away from home. It’s rare, but happens. I think just keep educating and introducing yummy meal and before you know it, he won’t notice. Hope that helps. Miss you girl!
Hi Tia 😊 after doing 2 weeks of eating meals from your awesome book.. I ate a whole can of condensed milk!!!! OMG 😱... I have a huge problem with sweets ... any suggestions ? I really need help.. Need advice from someone like you.. LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!
Hi there - thank you so much. Total I've lost 50 lbs and I am happy with my weight because I'm healthy - great blood work, healthy BMI and waist to height ratio (as Dr. Gregor likes to recommend over BMI), and I feel amazing - the way I look is just the icing on the cake. I could probably lose a few more lbs of fat, but I am in no rush.
@@judysouthern4458 YES - STARTED DEC 5 2019. I lost on average 1.5 lbs per week until I had about 15/20 Lbs left, then it was slower... but i was okay with that. I was never in a rush to lose weight, just get healthy. I could have done more exercise, but I kept activity the same. The thing is this is not a diet - just a healthy way of eating and if you stay consistent the weight will naturally come off.
Thank you for this video.💕 Oh how I wish I could eat lots of lentils, beans, cruciferous veggies to add fiber, but they ruin my life😔 HELP PLEASE!💕I've been plant base for about 6 months and my stomach cannot handle beans, lentils, cruciferous veggies, because I get SO bloated and have lots of flatulence. Because of it, my menu is VERY LIMITED. Any advice???💕💕🤗🌹
Well it’s hard to say not knowing exactly how you eat and the other foods you’re consuming as well. It’s normal to have an increase in bloating and flatulence when transitioning to plant based. Thats normal and will happen. It is actually a sign your gut is producing healthy gut bacteria. Don’t fear the gas! I would say you must drink plenty of water when your fiber increases. If not bloating will occur more.
@@HealthyVeganMama Thank you for your fast response❤ I eat oatmeal with a green smoothie for breakfast and potatoes and mushrooms for lunch and I'll have beans or lentils in the evening because I don't want to get bloated so early in the day but that's roughly what I eat. To be honest I get so bloated it becomes very painful and uncomfortable. As far as my water I have about one liter of water.
@@livingbreathingonpurpose6586 oh wow, yeah one liter is only about 33 ounces. You need plenty of water to help with moving that fiber around. I would speak to your doctor about how much is good for your body, but 33 ounces is not a lot of water in one day. That could be your problem right there.
@@HealthyVeganMama oh okay, I was under the impression that since veggies had water, I didn't need much additional water... I'm definitely incorporating more water!!!!!😀🤗🙏 Thank YOU so MUCH🙏❤🤗
I hope you'll see this question - I love your Yummiest Cheese Sauce - serioulys, that is some excellent tasting vegan cheese. Anyways, it makes a bit muc for me to use it all in a week span, can I freeze some of it? Thank you!!
So glad you enjoyed. I do hike with him most of the time and these are my neighborhood trails and there are people around, I just didn’t film when they walked by. Plus I carry pepper spray everywhere I go. Thanks for your concern though 😀
What about diabetics I can't have the carbs/starches because my diabetes is really bad. I have just started a plant base diet Monday will be 2 weeks, and I have started having hot flashes after a hysterectomy since 2002. I feel hungry all the time and I have not seen any weight loss not even inches. I know that I am not eating a lot of calories not even 1000 calories a day because I am afraid of gaining the weight back that I lost on carnivore/keto. I exercise at least 5 days a week. What am I doing wrong?
I would talk to a plant based doctor who can help you manage your diabetes while eating a plant based diet until you can heal yourself from it all together. Plant based Telehealth is a great start!
Thank you so much for your concern. These are actually my neighborhood trails and there are always lots of people hiking and running. I just didn’t film when they were around. I also almost always go with my husband. We hike when the kids are in school. I just didn’t bring him with me this day. Thank you for watching
I really struggle with feeling like my stomach is a black hole. Sweet potatoes and broccoli are my staples, and I eat between 1-2lbs of veggies at ever meal. I just can't ever seem to feel satiated.
@@HealthyVeganMama Thanks so much for responding! My fat intake is minimal most days. Overt fats really bother my digestion since I don't have a gallbladder. (And that was a sudden and suprise surgery, if I could have kept it, I would have) You may be onto something though, because it's really hard not to be tempted by/crave the higher fat, processed vegan goods my family eats, especially in the evening.
Is anyone else eating brownies while watching this video? Lol. So had oatmeal with ground flaxseed, hemp seeds, a whole banana and a little maple syrup...lunch was a huge salad....dinner was 2 baked potatoes with beans, salsa, garlic salt and nutritional yeast. Very full but my son made brownies and this is my problem and my question: my kids are 19, 17 and twins are 15. I'm a single hard working mom with diabetes. I can't seem to not eat their food. I don't want it in the house but I've tried that and then they tend not to eat. They'll eat at school or at their friends or complain about how starving they are and then I'll give in bc my kids are hungry. I'm stuck. Wat do I do? Ugh.
Just put those brownies down! I understand that it can be hard when other people in the house eat things we don't want to - but this is mind over matter. Weight loss has so many levels and one of them is discipline. Just don't eat it - it can be as simple as that. Either way, you are here, and taking the steps to a healthier you and that's amazing. It's called a journey for a reason, just don't ever give up. Best of luck to you :)
Look up plant based sweets that you can eat instead. I seen a black bean brownie recipe that was plant based. I also seen a plant based banana pudding recipe. The recipes are out there. Kashi cereal is sweet but not to sweet so a bowl of that with plant milk. Just some suggestions. Also frozen black cherries, frozen grapes are good. A bowl of fruit with vegan chocolate chips is really tasty.

I can totally understand moving from the low carb where you're restricting, to this amazing way of eating...where you actually get to eat like we should be doing :) Calorie density is the key to weight loss - so glad you are understanding it. Way to go! Best of luck to you.
Im gonna have to try those tacos!! Love the idea of pantry cooking!!
It’s so awesome! Yes try them.
Great Video & content, plus your hat is adorable!
Thank you so much
Great video. Thank you! 💗
You’re welcome
Those tacos 🌮 look so yummy 😋. I love how down to earth you are
They are so good. Oh thank you so much ☺️
Love the video! Thanks for sharing!😁
So happy you enjoyed it.
Beautiful scenery! Whereabouts in Texas are you filming? I live in San Antonio. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now come on didn’t realize you were in Texas!
Hi there neighbor...I’m in Austin 🙌🏻
@@HealthyVeganMama I’ve tried many different homemade vegan cheese sauce recipes, and yours is hands-down my favorite! I’ve made it several times!
@@mmcgui81 Oh I am so happy you like it!
i too love that idea of quickly & easily throwing stuff together to eat well, but i doubt i would have microwaved the brocolli separately, (2 lazy for that) i would have just chucked it in the pot to heat with the beans and capsicums and rice. im always tossing leftovers in a bowl or pot together to use up as many as possible, whilst getting as many diff nutrients as i can from the diff veges & legumes.
Loved this video and your nails ! 💅🏻
Thank you so much
I'd like to see more like this (the pantry meal part.)
Tried these today...so yummy!
So glad you enjoyed
You are an inspiration. I love your simple meals. Did you start reintegrating alcohol or do you still refrain from it?
Thank you so much. No I decided to never drink again 😀
@@HealthyVeganMama same‼️🙋🏻♀️🥰
Love your videos! Where do you get the tortillas from?
Whole Foods
I’d luv some sort of seasoned broccoli recipe, ive completely gone off broccoli, mushrooms and leaves eating wfpb! But have started to like brown rice and beans which is good xox
Okay. Rice and beans are my fav!
Nice, thanks for the video.
It’s my pleasure. Thanks for watching!
Great video,helpful information !!
Glad this was helpful. Thank you for watching.
LOVE IT 💛
Glad you love.
Thank you! So encouraging ma'am! I'm mama of three littles and feel tired all the time😭. Not plant based yet but thinking about it. Do you find you have a lot more energy now? I do drink coffee almost all day long, lol but it doesn't seem to help. 😢
Since transitioning I have ridiculous amounts of energy - it's amazing!
Kinda feel like there's nothing to lose so...🤷
Tia you look good and the hat suit you .😊
I drink wine too,it is difficult to give up wine for me
You’re so sweet, thank you. I understand, no worries ❤️ I never thought I’d give up alcohol, but so happy that I did.
You should buy a drone to see more of your beautiful city. 😊
Maybe Santa will bring me one lol
Amazing video ❤️❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching.
More pantry meal please!
Do you have a red beans and rice recipe? I need a wfpb one. I miss the south! Lol!
Yes! Here’s the recipe ruclips.net/video/TpG8quIpS0M/видео.html
@@HealthyVeganMama thanks!
Can you tell me where you get the tortilla's from? I cant find it at whole foods.
products.wholefoodsmarket.com/product/fiesta-tortilla-white-corn-tortillas-9d51b7
Tostada's are a staple for me
They are so so good
Which omega supplement do you take? Also, can you tell me where I can find the cheese sauce recipe please. Thanks for another great video!
I take a vegan one that is derived from algae. I get it at Whole Foods, but you can prefer one on Amazon. I’m not home so I side of the brand I get.
@@HealthyVeganMama Thank you very much!
I am going to make your cheese sauce one of these days 😋
Yes please do. It’s so yummy
I will not use anyone else's cheese sauce. I love it!!
How much weight did you lose and have you reached your goal weigh after adopting your current plant based diet? I ❤️ your videos.
@@HealthyVeganMama is this 50 lb weight loss just since last December? And how long did it take you to lose that?
@@judysouthern4458 YES - STARTED DEC 5 2019. I lost on average 1.5 lbs per week until I had about 15/20 Lbs left, then it was slower... but i was okay with that. I was never in a rush to lose weight, just get healthy. I could have done more exercise, but I kept activity the same. The thing is this is not a diet - just a healthy way of eating and if you stay consistent the weight will naturally come off.
Thank you for this video.💕
Oh how I wish I could eat lots of lentils, beans, cruciferous veggies to add fiber, but they ruin my life😔
HELP PLEASE!💕I've been plant base for about 6 months and my stomach cannot handle beans, lentils, cruciferous veggies, because I get SO bloated and have lots of flatulence.
I'm definitely incorporating more water!!!!!😀🤗🙏
Thank YOU so MUCH🙏❤🤗
What is the taco sauce you use? By the way, I lovecthe Fiesta Corn tortilla!!!
Seeds of Change...only oil free I can find
Thank you!
Being Italian I havent noticed you using fresh garlic? Do you ? 😊
Yes I do frequently with big meals
I hope you'll see this question - I love your Yummiest Cheese Sauce - serioulys, that is some excellent tasting vegan cheese. Anyways, it makes a bit muc for me to use it all in a week span, can I freeze some of it? Thank you!!
Hi. I don’t see why you can’t freeze it. Try it out and let me know how it goes ❤️
I like this video Tia.. I wish you could hike with your husband to stay safe..
Thank you!🎖
So glad you enjoyed.
I find that I need to snack more with WFPB as I can’t each a huge plate at one sitting. I get full quickly.
Looks good
Thank you
What is the taco sauce you buy from WF?
I was using seeds of change. But that brand isn’t at WF.
It makes me nervous seeing you alone with no one around stay safe be smart bring a buddy if you can, people are hard to trust now a days!
Thank you so much for your concern. These are actually my neighborhood trails and there are always lots of people hiking and running. I just didn’t film when they were around. I also almost always go with my husband. We hike when the kids are in school. I just didn’t bring him with me this day. Thank you for watching
@@HealthyVeganMama that’s good to hear just looking out ❤️
I totally appreciate that. I wasn’t just saying it :) I also live in Texas and make sure I’m protected when I’m am alone

I really struggle with feeling like my stomach is a black hole. Sweet potatoes and broccoli are my staples, and I eat between 1-2lbs of veggies at ever meal. I just can't ever seem to feel satiated.
Are you eating fat? We need a little fat.
How long did it take you to loose all the weight you wanted?
About 10 months
What type of ramen do you buy? I think that's what your husband was having
Great question. Let me look. It’s from Whole Foods.
Hakubaku organic is the kind.
What kind of taco sauce do you use?
Sky Valley Foods makes one that is oil free and awesome www.skyvalleyfoods.com/product/taco-sauce/
@@HealthyVeganMama thank you!
More pantry meals please!
Awesome. Just FYI, all meals on this channel are meals from my pantry 😀
