    Hi! Welcome to my Healthy Hunnies family.
    My name is Healthy Emmie. I’ve been featured in Forbes, HuffPost, PopSugar, and more as the go-to nutritionist for plant-based weight loss. I’ve personally coached thousands of people. Combining the teachings of Dr. John McDougall’s Starch Solution, Dr. Joel Furhman’s Nutritarian Eat To Live Diet, Dr. Alan Goldhamer, Dr. Doug Lisle, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, T. Colin Campbell, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Michael Greger and more… I’ve trademarked my Slim on Starch® system for weight loss and weight maintenance. I’ve received my certificate through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition which qualifies me to coach individuals. Each client in my Slim on Starch program works with me, as well as my carefully selected team of nutrition coaches who are registered dietitians in their personal practices. Each client also works with a carefully selected team of mindset coaches, whose personal practices stretch from therapists, trauma specialists, addiction specialists, psychologists, health coaches, doctors, personal trainers, and more. If you’re interested in working with me and my team, please visit healthyemmie.org/coaching. I look forward to helping you change your life. You deserve health and happiness.
    What's inside a healthy, whole food, plant-based vegan pantry? Today we are in Healthy Mummy's Kitchen as she gives us a tour of the non-perishables, canned goods, and packaged items that you will find in her cabinets! Fridge and freezer tour coming if this video gets 500 likes!

    I can not get enough of your healthy mom and healthy dad series. I have been plant based for many years and watching like minded others makes me not feel so alone. I would love if you incorporated minimal living as well. That is another passion of mine. Please keep up the good work by spreading the message.

    Non dairy milk purchases have stopped for me, too many additives. Purchased a Nutr machine and make my own ND milk. Usually almond milk to add to teas and coffee. Store extra in mason jar to use within next few days. Game Changer!!

    I bought the teeccino tea to replace my afternoon coffee and its delicious. I don't want to give up my morning coffee yet but I think this will help with my 2pm coffee habit. Thanks Healthy Mummy

    I will say that you both of you look very healthy in the video. I do find being on a plant based lifestyle much more enjoyable and beneficial to me. I don’t know what plant based milks America has but in Australia, there’s soy, almond, rice, oat, coconut and macadamia. Some milks have B12 added. Is there any guidelines as what to look for in the ingredients list for plant based milks and be choosing the right plant based milks?

    Thanks for this pantry tour! So informative!
    I keep my flaxseed and all my nuts in the refrigerator as not to go bad in the pantry.
    My husband loves Planters peanuts as well and keeps them in the house...luckily I don't care for them so not tempting for me either!
    Thanks for the tip about coffee... I had no idea it's bad for high cholesterol, even decaf...sigh... is the flavoring in Teeccino natural?
    BTW maple syrup here in British Columbia is over $17! Grocery prices are loulou here... in hopes this changes soon...

    Can you explain why somebody in weight loss mode would need to avoid sugar? Sugar contains no fat.

    • @clarapalmer
      @clarapalmer 10 месяцев назад

      Perhaps since sugar is higher in calories and also affects blood sugar.

      Every client is different. For some, sugar is necessary to get the food down. But for other, sugar increases appetite which increases consumption. Too many calories = fat gain. Sugar doesn’t easily convert to fat, but if you’re eating more calories than you’re burning, you will gain fat.
