      Thanks!! Sorry for the late reply. RUclips had flagged your comment for some reason. Always gotta install the crank pin lol. No timing job is done without one. And yeah I cranked her over a few times and checked all the marks on the cams and the crank as well as with the pin and the lock bar. I should have mentioned that in the video.

    Cant wait to be at this point.. I watched the previous video, I'm assuming the cams are set with the valves up when installing heads? Or maybe start with the crank offset from tdc during head install, then reset it when timing.. move it one less time lol.. not trying to criticize, but these will help me as I'm about to be at this point.. great work! 🤘

    • @CIPGAS
      @CIPGAS  4 года назад +2

      Thanks man! So the cams will actually naturally settle to a point where none of the valves will be extended past 1 mm when you you install them on the head. It’s called the resting spot. At this point there is no danger of valves touching the the pistons. Once the heads are on in this video I bring the crank over at least 45 degrees counter clockwise which will bring it back from TDC and none of the cylinders would be able to touch the valves. Then from there you move the cams to TDC with the lock bar and then turn the crank back to TDC. And finally lock it all in with the timing belt.

    Hey...
    Thanks a lot for the video. I ve got two questions,
    45° counter clockwise the crankshaft? At 6:10 you say 75°.
    Do you have a partnumber of that bolt/ plug wich closes the lockpinentry? Here in Germany you only got a plastic-part with an o-ring.
    Thank you Bro

    • @CIPGAS
      @CIPGAS  4 года назад

      Sorry messed up the degrees there. It was just the 45 counter clockwise to give clearance for the valves to compress into the cylinder. 75 degrees over would work just fine as well since all the pistons would still be below the top off their stroke.

    Might sound like a dumb question here, but I have a stuck open thermostat. There is no way that I can replace the thermo without taking my timing belt off correct.

    reliably how much boost can you run on an auto w/ stock turbos

    • @CIPGAS
      @CIPGAS  4 года назад

      The transmission will hood whatever you can throw at it with the K03’s. But K03’s aren’t known for their reliability, so if it’s the original turbos just a stage 1 tune with about 16 to 18 psi. Anything more than that and you’re asking to blow them. The transmission will hold that but if you want to keep adding power after than you will have to work to beef it up or switch to a manual.
