U can get a couple different recoil amps for 100 or less that do 2k and over power and are rock solid. The recoil 2500.1 is mean and the 1200.4 is really powerful also solid amp dyno numbers.
I been considering doing a recoil 4ch all week to replace my old jl360.4 since my front stage is under powered as is but I wish those recoils could have bandpass features I’m still inclined to grab one
Id return that amp to the seller and shame on Orion for putting 8k all over the box and it's a 1k max power into protect . These amps get hot and shut off very easy. I wish u didn't buy this.
keep it up brother 💪🏼 and the first time I ever saw and experienced my first Orion hcca 15 I fell in love with the brand but these are just pretendo amps lol
I would’ve loved to have an Orion back in the early 90’s, but they were out of my price range. One of my local shops (Sounds Unlimited) had them. Thanks a bunch!!
@ Stereo MoJo- I totally agree with you, it does not make any sense, to have 0 ga. Power and ground, and then 10 ga. Speaker outputs=WTH!? But its all about the deception game, to get you to buy. I had a Crescendo Bc3500 amp that did 4,400 Rms, @ 1 ohm, @ clipping, and that amp had 1- 0 ga. Power, and 1- 0 ga. Ground, but it had 8 ga. Speaker outputs. It goes to show you, that even Big companies(Like Orion), with good Legit product's, can have a B.S. line of products as well. Thanks for your time, making this video.
On a class d amp if u want to know the power before u buy the amp take the amount of fusing 105 amp multiple by 10 that's the most power u will see this amp is the cheap of cheap junk.
If these company's would just quit putting those silly high ratings. There's nothing wrong with saying this is a 1200watt amp, for the price it's not a bad deal. Its funny a company like Orion that had/has a reputation for being really good does this, then their XTR and HCCA lines crush rated numbers.
Why can’t they just rate it correctly? So frustrating. That tactic will make people not buy their higher end amps when they decide to upgrade etc. Disappointing
i dont think that a real Orion amp its a knock off they been making there rounds on ebay amazon it had to to get a real orion amp any where unless you get it from orion it self
Love your videos, I’ve been binge watching them everyday
@@RomaVilla lol, that’s funny. Thanks Roma!

Oh and btw I went with the stinger 2k over that recoil2500 due to size

949 watts for $135 shipped is a steal compared to what we got from pyramid/boss/legacy 30ish years ago 🤣
Yeah, it’s not a weak amp or a bad deal. It’s just so overrated!
@truecavalier- Right, but you can get an Audiopipe 1500, for about $160, and it does 1600 watts now.
Take a drink every time he says "UMM" 😂
Umm, why?
I'm too young to die!
I got in ur comments first !🎉
Thanks Josh!
Nice 1
Send that back!
Can you share that music track?
Are you talking about the music that I’m playing on the subs at the end of the video? If so, they’re in the RUclips library.
Defect?

I agree with this
ohms law A x V = W . So 105a x 14.4v = 1512w . The fusing will always be a bit higher than rms and your vehicle may run at a different output voltage.

The only good Orion now days is the hcca splx dx xtr the splx 3k does 10k watts on the amp Dyno
Yeah, I’ve been wanting to try a XTR or HCCA
@@stereomojo I'm pretty sure they do 1ohm rated power at 2ohms lol

They go big on the input size and fuses now to sell underwhelming amps it seems.
