- This Gravity Audio WZ8000.1D is advertised heavily on Amazon and eBay as an "8000 watt" amp. Yeah and priced at $269 with free shipping. To those who don't understand this deception, it's nothing less than a bait-and-switch technique stealing people's money. Most of us know there is NO WAY this amp is going to get close to 8000 watts, but companies continue to use this tactic and it's allowed for some unknown reason. Well friends, let me go ahead and waste almost $300 so we can all find out what this amp does! Thumbs up for my money, time and effort are appreciated (understanding you may want to thumbs down the amp).

Good evening sir, what amp would you use for 4-15L7 in ported box . I have mech man 350 amp alt with 3 yellow top batteries will be changing them out this summer with new batteries from JP. I already have kicker 4 ch for mid's and 2ch Rockford for highs was thinking about adding 1 more alt for just the subs with 3 batteries just for that amp. I want to go crazy loud this summer. I have my doors being fiberglass to hold (6) 8" for mid's and 4 super tweets on each door. With 4 tweets on each pillar by the windshield and all of this is going into my Tahoe with air bags to hold the xtra weight
I might change from L7 15s to 4 sundown 15's if needed to get my bass that I'm looking for or Def bounce

Just bought an ignite 3000 watt amp due to a review you did on one. It definitely bumps my little 10 inch. I bought a cheap sub in a box for $169. It WAY out performs my 2 12 inch kickers and puts just a 10. It's a Skar audio 1200 watt. It's breaking in now and starting to scare me a little. Makes me wanna buy 2 of their top-o-the-line 18's. Was skeptical but I'm a believer of this new brand. Jesus! It's Badass!

Hi. From what I've heard and seen for me it sounds and behaves like an A / B class amplifier. The power of 8000 W I think can be obtained dynamically with 0.5 ohm or less. It's really huge and doesn't seem to have very good or expensive parts but I think it's worth another chance :)! Peace

Williston Audio Labs I have a 2006 Yukon Denali XL. I like deep low end bass. I want 8 inch subs to allow cargo space. How many and what brand name would you recommend? I have a kicker kx 1200 and 4 channel kicker kx 650 for mids and highs. Sorry I know a lot of people like you opinion but just asking. Listen to rap music mostly. Again love your videos

Do you have poly mat inside your 4-8 box?
I used it in my girlfriend’s 2-12 box with two 4” aero port, tuned to 33 HZ as a experiment and it sounded very smooth even playing out of its tuning capability I didn’t hear any tinging sound or port noise.

People dont realize that when you go cheap on an inefficient amp you spend more on electrical support. Research is great. Glade you help people make better decisions. Although some will see that near 5k dynamic and still think it's great. Well you will need the support of an 6k amp to get 3k.
I'll keep running my deafbonce 4k at .5ohm, absolutely not 1 single issue with it or my aak-200.4d.. both are awesome amps and have been very reliable.. my 370a mechman keeps them very happy at 15.2v, the 4k is powering my single deafbonce sa312 d1 at.5ohm daily.. such an amazing sub, and takes well over 4I rms easily, I've never once smelled any coil smells.. great American made 8 layer flat wound coil

Yeah I appreciate you running a test on this app 8000 watch as a stretch but 3000 Watts with a lot of batteries and alternator well it is what it is you still have to upgrade if you want lots of Watts
Isnt that thing gonna get hot as Balls with that efficiency? How in the world are the Heatsinks under the Mesh panels supposed to dissipate thousands of Watts? I see nothing but a fire Hazard.
Any amplifier that can push out that wattage will get hot, but they are built to take that much power, and push it out.

Big D why would u premise smart 3 for bass? It is not a bass amp and it a fire starter. Can it be used yes but at your own risk

Nada que ver, la carcasa sí, porque es de la misma fábrica china, pero la placa es totalmente distinta. La rock series 3000 es una sola placa más parecida o casi igual a la del belva 5000. El rock series predator si es un diseño muy similar al gravity (dos placas por dentro) pero es de mayor potencia que éste, tiene más transformadores transistores.

My first big amp years ago was the Percision power 2150. Old school black with red accents. Have you ever tested this amp? Supposedly it was one of the best in its day. It would be awesome to see that one tested. I have been looking for one for quite some time but have not been able to find it
I had a precision power crossover back in the day hooked up to a Soundstream Class A 6 and a Reference 200. I loved the Precision.
If you could find a shark shkamp-2500d I would love to see that on the dyno. I Stull have my one from my old setup and am thinking about using it again in a new build. I've look over the interweb for years and still no dyno test.

i have this amp on 5 soundstream 12s and it slams , 3 batteries total on stock 160 amp alt and full tilt never drops below 13 volts , i think its a steal for the price !
If it’s on a stock amp and never drops below 13v it’s definitely nowhere near 3k let alone 8k

HiFonics did that with the Colossus back in the day, but that was two quality Zeus boards in one amp, and each board was separate.

For $300 I think it did reasonably well. What would you say this amp would be good for since it didn't run smoothly on Certified %1 THD?
Any sub. A typical car subwoofer in a ported enclosure is going to be 10 or 20% THD mechanically. So the extra 1% or so that’s being added by the amp isn’t going to make a noticeable difference.
Hey I have a gravity 8000 capacitor. It seems to be ok I'm only running 2 10s and a power acoustic 3000 watt amp. Do you test caps to or just amps
Big D primary tests amplifiers only. Capacitors are far more difficult to test and folks would have to understand certain aspects of electricity that would be hard to explain in a 10 minute video. Caps are pretty reliable as far as I know, as long as it takes a few minutes to charge up and not a few seconds it's probably good to go

Big D I am going to put one possibly 2 of those same 8 s in my Altima ....was going buy the smart 3 but I don't want have add an extra battery or altinator ...do you have any suggestions on what amp would best suit my situation ...
You don't need a 3000 watt amp even if you're running 2 of them. My car is plenty loud with two 10s on about 650 watts total RMS to them. Another 300 to my mids/highs and my stock electrical system (115A Alternator) has no problems keeping up.
