@Some Guy I remember back in the day what good class D amps cost!! I was in high school back during Circuit City's heyday & would go in there & just drool over the amps I could not afford at the time. 1000 rms monoblock D amps $1099 & $1199 plus tax.. And the amps were HUGE back then! I just recently bought a Sundown 5k new for only $375.99 w/free shipping. Back in the day their was no way I could afford a 5k rms amp, if I could've even found one lol. I bought my Taramps 8k last year for $439 new w/free shipping & my Smart3 for $279 new. Lol Some Guy just imagine if we could buy all these powerful amps & go back to the mid 90s or even the early 00s with them, sell them and bring our profits back with us to present day... If only there were a way to do that, we'd be loaded! Sure would be a sweet gig, OK I'll wake up now.
I just ordered a Harmony. I guess I'll find out how it does in the long term. But the fact that they didn't lie about the power rating in the typical fashion where you have to subtract a zero from the end to get the true wattage LOL sold me. Perhaps we have a new player in the audio industry that is actually honest. As Scotty used to say on Star Trek "I'm giving it all she's got captain". When there was always a little more. And he always gave a figure twice as long to fix something that actually took. Perhaps they're working on the same philosophy. Oh I guess the other thing was they gave you a thank you for buying it. This amp has been awesome for me. I’ve had the harmony ha800 hook up to Memphis mojo in a BMW and it works great. The rca adapter for high level can withstand higher voltage and amps then most LOC and amps. The bass cable has light and can turn amp completely off using bass remote which most amps you can’t do. @@matthewthedude146 yes I’ve had the Harmon kardon and b&o sound system. Just tab into one of the sub woofers line by the amp. You’ll need an amp able to handle 30-40 volts. Like the kicker cx or harmony or get a lci1 audio control. It’s really simple because the amp and battery are in the trunk

WoW, this was a true shocker on the power ratings. Definitely a budget gem. I mean for $200, I guess if you didn’t want to spend a lot of money and you were just looking for a little boost in the sound system, this would be on the list.
I like the do it bump doe section because you always give feedback if the amp doesn’t control the subs properly and that’s the most important part . If your amp produces tons of power but sounds like garbage because of lack of control then what use is it.
Harmony is legit. I got monolith 15 a year ago and that thing was a beast. On my second sub with the HA-C2 15 and that shits a Sundown SA killer for under $200. Growing some love for these guys.
Love your amp dyno's Big D! Please keep the, Do it Bump Doe?! Your ears are a powerful measuring instrument, don't dismiss doing a real sound quality demo and letting us know your real impressions. It's part of what makes your dyno format so fun!
This amp is really impressive. I even like the design a lot with it's clean brushed aluminum. Kinda sucks about the bass knob but I've always used the subwoofer level control on my H.U. and haven't ever used a bass knob. I would use one if it had a voltmeter and/or clip indicator light though.
MY MAN! Again bringing us real info for our real hard earned money as much as his! I'm not missing the flex, unless we need some additional info about some odd behavior. Example: I had a Skar ZVX i think in a silly cheap box that barely cleared the pole vent againts the enclosure slot vent. At rest, the sub was just almost 2ohm but i'm sure at flex that changed. I had a Taramps Smart 3k that seemed to fling that baby waaay out for the power, and I discovered it seemed to start in 2ohm mode. I would have liked to see the behavior on a oscilliscope once, but really what you want to know is, "DO IT BUMP Doe? " and that combo really does, like exceptionally to the point of overloading the 350a breaker on just some songs, and up to the shorting rings on the sub enough to make them stink as well. It's almost a cheater setup if you have enough Li and Cu to back it up. Thanks for your time again sir.
It would have been nice to see it run at 12.5 volts . Might hit their rating at a normal car voltage for the guy that's just going to run a cheap wiring kit and stock battery and alternator. That's the guy that would be buying this amp
I bought one because I figured what the heck. Man it slams my two type R 12 like mad. really clean too. I am very impressed. All I can say is wow buy it.. We shall see how long it lasts. Love your vids you help a lot... Take care big buddy
I'm still stunned by how much power modern Class D amps produce. I haven't seen over rating by percentage this high since the old school RF cheater amps.
Back 2 years later, STILL running strong. I have 2 at 1.3 ohms per amp on 3 of the Harmony carbon 12"s in 5.2 cu/ft tuned at 28 Hz. I lost a dust cap on one, so I added epoxy to all 3 cones and dust caps to add mass as well as fix the weak dust cap glue. It slams.
Different amps being fed the same signal, while powering identical subs, will physically "push/pull" each sub differently. If you put both subs side by side while playing the same demo, you can see which amp has a better damping factor and "tighter" control over the sub assuming the values are drastically different. Whether the sub actually cares if it's getting hammered more times per second vs. a higher damping factor or if it'll even sound different, is debatable. Can test this yourself sometime. Tried it once with an old 1600ovi PA vs. a 600w Crossfire, both bridged @4ohm. CF had way better control, while the Power Acoustik physically beat the hell of the sub movement with less wattage.
@@casey360360 Yeah I saw that one too LOL. Now this Amp has a loose wire bouncing around inside of it??!!! Poor build quality, the 8 year olds in China need to step up their came I quess.
Love the videos ... the Dyno and objective tests provide great information . Do it bump ? I get the observation that watching the speakers is of limited use... but the subjective commentary on “ how does it sound” is very useful ... you can’t listen to a spreadsheet. Thanks for the content.
I don't normally comment but this is one he'll of a powerfully underated amp for the price :) might have to get one of these if I can get hold of one in the UK
For what it's worth, I usually consider the beginning of the "do it bump tho" segment as the end of the video. No point in even skipping it unless there is a teaser for something at the end. I'm just like, "well, there's nothing useful to see in the rest of this video. Peace out."
Yaaaaaay THANK YOU BIG D I WANTED THIS AMP A LONG TIME AGO BECAUSE IT HAD NO REVIEWS AND NO VIDEOS OF THEM ON YT WE ALL APPRECIATE WHAT YOU DO FOR US BUDGET B HEADS MUCH LOVE FROM OHIO💙
I wonder how many people blew their speakers believing the numbers that were included in the manual to set their gain switch? lol I sure hope this is an indicator of all Harmony quality with their products. It usually takes a high end expensive ($500+) amp to see nearly the double power ratings! Thanks for the video, will be keeping Harmony in mind on my next amp!
I'm am glad you took out the DO IT BUMP segment.... it doesnt really show anything especially since we are most likely watching these videos on are phone and couldnt tell the difference ifs it's a zapco or a boss amp unless we are there
I have been running a Harmony HA800.5 for about a year powering many different speakers. These amps are high quality, and durable. It currently powers 2 Skar VX1-ST and 2 Skar NPX65-4 at 2 ohms on the front channel. Runs 2 Skar TX69 6x9’s in the rear, and 1 Sundown Audio SA15 classic at 1 ohm on the bass channel. The amp never shuts down, and doesn’t seem to care how hard I drive it. Better than every name brand amp I have ever owned except Crown XLS2500, which is Apples to Oranges comparison.
I have been wondering about these amps. Parker Dachille ( however you spell his name 😂) did a video of the 2 12s. The quality control seems very poor. Another awesome video! Don’t get rid of the does it bump tho!!!
I had a home theater amp go out with an electrical problem at an RV campground. I took the opportunity to enclose some space and put in a 15 inch sub. I got the 400 watt Harmony version. I had a dual four ohm on purpose as I did need to get to one ohm. I started with a 2 ohm connection paralleling the inputs. I wound up with an 8 ohm connection with the inputs in series. The amp had so much power that is what it took to get a reasonable level with the amp gain around 1/4. Lower ohm connections did not allow any chance of a gain adjustment as such a small portion of the pot was in use. Since it is in an RV I have lots of 12 volt power available. The cost of this amp is way below any of the plate amps at 110 volts. And it is very small too. Found it on Amazon, read all the reviews I could find. The amps are listed on the Harmony web pages. You have to dig a bit though. Mine came with the test cert sheet as well. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for another killer vid big D! I agree the flex footage of the subs out in the open is redundant for the most part. 2 or 3 minutes of that doesn't seem necessary. would it be too much trouble to get some footage inside the hot rod? Meaning set up a sub box in the trunk and give us a bit of trunklid/mirror flex and maybe even an SPL measurement? Your videos are very thorough as it is and the time you invest in production is appreciated good sir
That Amps is a beast! And yes big d keep up the subs flexxxxxxiing! Funny how another channel Parker did harmony subs and the box was gorgeous but the subs were crap! Keep it up brother of bass
In the design phase of a new system in my new car - 18' Sentra SR Turbo - after being out of the car audio market for about 15 years. I've been stuck on the amps. Was sold on the Powerus line thanks to BareVids but can't find them anywhere. Came VERY close to pulling the trigger on the Pioneers but something said "Yeaaaaah, but no". I keep wishing the new Soundstream would magically go "poof" and turn back into the old Soundstream but...sigh. Now THEEESE amps....Yeah, these just might fit the bill!! Thanks big guy!
Setup your speakers in a way that will allow you to reliably measure dBs and see what each amp will do. I suppose that maybe it will probably be the same across the board with the larger amps but will give us an idea how the lower wattage amps do. ...just an idea.
Nice to see the amps are legit I have been running their subs the last few years tried the carbon series first now I have purchased some of the monolith subs and they are pretty bad ass and also got some of their carbon series mids and they are amazing just wish they would make some super tweeters .... but yea their multi price does jump up on ya I got mine off eBay first and didn’t notice the more u buy the higher the price so buy the single and change the quantity it will come out cheaper lol
i have a set of the harmony 12 inch subs and they bump pretty dam good for what i have, also running a set of the harmony 6x9 and 6.5 door speakers and i cant complain at all
i cant put my finger on what other amp i saw with this same basic design now. hmm.... and id love to see the 4 channel tested. would make a heck of a nice budget system if it also performs well.
I've checked out Harmony's website and primarily speakers. And if I were to drop down a few bucks from my favorite car speakers, the Polk Marine DB+ Speakers (sound better speakers 2x+ their price) I would probably really consider Harmony offerings. Good reviews and numbers. Amps? that's why I'm watching the video. :)

This is a quality amp. Their subs are even really good. Rockford underrates their amps too.
You should show where it ranks among current amps you've tested in that price range
Well I just added this company to my list of underrated companies will be buying their stuff for everyday use.
Parker Dacchille did a great review on his youtube channel of the harmony 12" woofers it is a must see!!
You mean the two subs that came blown? Lol
@@casey360360 Yeah I saw that one too LOL. Now this Amp has a loose wire bouncing around inside of it??!!! Poor build quality, the 8 year olds in China need to step up their came I quess.
@@casey360360 😁
I'm digging your channel. I'm a basshead from way back when. I had punch 120 and 2 JL w3 12's. In a hatchback Ford Escort. BOOM it was awesome
Also Harmony You better thank the bid dummy for this!!! Your bout to cash out on your investment!!
Love the videos ... the Dyno and objective tests provide great information .
Do it bump ? I get the observation that watching the speakers is of limited use... but the subjective commentary on “ how does it sound” is very useful ... you can’t listen to a spreadsheet. Thanks for the content.
That amp company is humble AF lol
They must wanna bring back early 90's IASCA competition rules.
I don't normally comment but this is one he'll of a powerfully underated amp for the price :) might have to get one of these if I can get hold of one in the UK
Thanks for watching and commenting!
For what it's worth, I usually consider the beginning of the "do it bump tho" segment as the end of the video.
No point in even skipping it unless there is a teaser for something at the end. I'm just like, "well, there's nothing useful to see in the rest of this video. Peace out."
Most cars are 14.4 ,but you are probably right, probably 12 volt ratings.
I want to see the speakers flex man and also would like to see the thermal camera return, great content dude!
Only include the do it bump doe if you notice something weird I say.. Love the new video construction.
Thanks brother 🙏
Thanks to you Williston i got one of these on two skar svr 12s 😁
Hell yeah we wanna see if it bump yo!
I thought they were 💩
Your videos are top notch my friend. Thank you for doing what you do.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yaaaaaay THANK YOU BIG D I WANTED THIS AMP A LONG TIME AGO BECAUSE IT HAD NO REVIEWS AND NO VIDEOS OF THEM ON YT WE ALL APPRECIATE WHAT YOU DO FOR US BUDGET B HEADS MUCH LOVE FROM OHIO💙
Calm down. Stop yelling. Take your meds.
Seems like a good amp! Myself I keep thinking about purchasing the JP 23 myself but this one is close to it!
I don’t mind seeing those 8’s flex SON!!
Don't skip the do it bump do. Best part of the video. Even better when you put the amm1 and we can see the rms power when connected to the subs!
Интересный усилитель, компактный. Спасибо Вам за видео!
"Do it bump doe" classic and entertaining like "You big dummy" I vote to keep it!
I'm am glad you took out the DO IT BUMP segment.... it doesnt really show anything especially since we are most likely watching these videos on are phone and couldnt tell the difference ifs it's a zapco or a boss amp unless we are there
I knew this amp was underrated. I have 2 of them running 2 harmony audio monolith 12s. They slam
Do you think one of these can run 3 8 inch skars and not overheat
Video proof or bs
I'm watching this video while eating a spicy chicken sandwich some chips and sweet tea in a mason jar
And absolutely *NOBODY* cares.
You down south?
I just got this amp together with the kicker quad box as a bundle, best money I've ever spent, no regrets
Awesome 👏
You gotta get some harmony audio 15” monolith subs and test them out. You would be the first person on RUclips if you did 👍
This is the first time EVER I've seen an amp do its MAX wattage as advertised.
You are awesome man😍
Love you from iran 🇮🇷
Thanks for watching and commenting!
respect🙏 🇮🇷
Much love form the states brother, bass on!
Love seeing you run higher and especially lower Ohm’s to see what they can do.
I have been wondering about these amps. Parker Dachille ( however you spell his name 😂) did a video of the 2 12s. The quality control seems very poor. Another awesome video! Don’t get rid of the does it bump tho!!!
I saw his video on those subs too... that’s why I’m shocked the amp did this well
I had a home theater amp go out with an electrical problem at an RV campground.
Subs dancing is always sexy. 😂
👌😬👍
@@wal Yeah keep the sub flexing parts in please.
Agreed. I always liked it even tho they always seem to move a similar amount.
I have a nice home system, so I love the do it bump doe segment
Well I'm impressed! Another good video Big D but I still would like to see the subwoofer flex test tho.
Do it Bump Doe is warranted. I look for cone and flex stability. I think it should be brought back and tell us how it sounded to you.
We all need our woofer p*** fix hahaha them cones can be quite smexy
cone and flex stability when it comes to a certain interchangeable amplifier ?.... what the f*ck are you even talking about man...
That is one of the best amplifiers I have seen on amazon
Wheelie we like to see the flex or at least I doe 😆
Thanks for another killer vid big D! I agree the flex footage of the subs out in the open is redundant for the most part. 2 or 3 minutes of that doesn't seem necessary. would it be too much trouble to get some footage inside the hot rod? Meaning set up a sub box in the trunk and give us a bit of trunklid/mirror flex and maybe even an SPL measurement? Your videos are very thorough as it is and the time you invest in production is appreciated good sir
Wow. Just watched Parker try the harmony subs that were a huge fail. Been looking at this new harmony stuff. Nice job on this amp.
Yeah that was bad bad on the subs
I saw he posted a vid haven’t watched it yet. Will check it fo sho
I'm hoping that was something that happened in shipping. For both subs to be in that shape upon arrival?
who's parker?
Bump doe needs to be brought back
Don't skip it. I really enjoy the "do it bump doe?" segment.
That Amps is a beast! And yes big d keep up the subs flexxxxxxiing! Funny how another channel Parker did harmony subs and the box was gorgeous but the subs were crap! Keep it up brother of bass
It’s the E-Harmony amplifier. Comes with extra relationships inside.
Yess add do it bump doe back
Was it just me or did Big D sound sad in this video☹ hope everything's good big D👊👊
Sounds like he had a long day or week
Owe man been waitiing for you try these amps for a while now
Definitely .....play but do it bump ........ 😎 Love watching your vids man definitely on the budget amps
It's fun fun watching the subs flex. Need to get the B2's 33" subs. Four of them like the eights. That would be a show. Have a great day.
Lawd!
Nice video as always from Big D, that is the same as the Audiopipe
