The thing is it's all parts quality used not the topology. Brazilian built full bridge use extremely cheap parts to keep costs low. This is why they fail more often. Not because it's a full bridge. The Powerus line of Brazilian amps are built as high quality as a Korean half-bridge but they will cost you as much as a Korean half-bridge because you're paying for the parts used. Same with most Chinese amps. Their half-bridge and full bridge designs for the most part are made with cheap parts to keep the cost down. This is due to whoever is having them built requesting these parts. You can have a Chinese amp that's just as high quality and rugged as a Korean made amplifier but whoever is having it built would need to pay for that quality which translates to higher prices which most don't want to do. Quantity over Quality. Korean amps are nothing special except they use high end parts thus making their durability much much higher. People need to stop attributing the topology to quality. Korean Full bridge are just as quality and durable as their half-bridge amps. No matter where you buy from it's all about what parts you tell them to use not where they are made or if it's full bridge vs half bridge.

I had a jp23 amp pushing a American bass 15 xfl for a year. I’m a over the road truck driver and I bump for 5-8 hours straight sometimes. No issues at all with amp or sub. I upgraded to a avatar 15 Stu so I needed more power so I got a Taramps smart 5k and it’s a amazing powerhouse. Same thing I’ve had it for a year and bump for 5-8 hours. Only issue with this set up is my sub gets real hot after about 5 hours depending on music. But it is way more power.
The jp does have better SQ no doubt. Next upgrade will be a jp Korean and probably a deaf bonce.

Gain is only 1/4 up, where as salt, I had it over halfway. I set gains with the DD-1, so it was set correctly. I also had the jp23, that was a bad ass amplifier also. I just needed more power for my 2 Skar VXF 12's. I now have 2 Sundown U 12's, V2, can't wait see what they do!

K, so he really didn't explain the difference. Korean is a half bridge style amp while Brazilian is a full bridge. Brazilian also tend to run much higher internal voltage then Korean. Chinese is just that Chinese they copy both Korean and Brazilian. It's not a knock it's an observation. Rockford, Kicker, and a couple other names use truly bespoke amp designs meaning nothing inside is like anything anyone else is really doing. You do get what you pay for but the Chinese market is starting to come up for the budget game folks. Just make sure the name behind it has some credibility. The JP 23 is a good amp for the price, is it a crescendo no does it do its job and make the juice yes.

Why would anybody buy a car audio amplifier just to abuse it? If people have the money to do that, then why not bring back American built amplifiers. 2 X 25 watts for $350-400. You can buy high output alternators for anything from a go kart to a Rolls Royce now in days. That was the major killer of amplifiers in the late 80s and through the 90s. It's all backwards now.

Hey JP, I need some help. I've got a mechman 240, xspower d2700 under the hood, and 3 d4s lto's. How many runs of wire do I need to run from the alt to the lto's, and what amp fuses will I need? Also, would I be better off to actually run the wire off the battery to rear, or directly off alternator to the rear? I'm using 0ga ofc, fusing under hood as well as before and after lto's. May be overkill, but rather be well protected. Amps are sae3000.1 v1 (for now) running 2 x15v2 at 1 ohm, an audio control d4.800 and audio control acm4.300. I know fusing needed after lto's, I'm just not sure prior to lto's.

Korean amps are the most overly copied pcb you can get. this is why most you amps have the same layouts ect ect. At the end of the day the amp is only as good as the said person using it. Personally i have lost count how many Korean amps ive owned and ran. I finally took the chance and decided to give taramps a try more technical the taramps bass 12k have it wired to .5 ohms which the amp isnt even rated to go that low, how ever i will say its the most solid amp ive ever ran never gets warm holy hell does it make my subs straight pound, and ive personally clamped mine a little over 7.5k watts rms with plenty of room to turn the amp up more, i actually limit my amp as my subs cant take anymore power. oh im running dual 12in neos as well.
