@@locotrucker46 holy shit..lol DJ Magic Mike...now that's old school bro...much respect lol do you remember Miami Quad? About 8 yrs ago I met a guy from Ga...was a firefighter named Danny. .later found out he was Danny D from Miami Quad lol
I used to go watch magic Mike at electric avenue in downtown Orlando.... I think it was around 1986
@@lancwbrown1970 that's awesome. I bet it was a cool experience.
Perfect for kids power wheels ! It is super cool looking item
Oh my... that DAK catalog takes me back. My dad and uncle would order stuff from there. I liked reading the founder's stories on product evaluation. I think I bought something for my car in 1984.
Yeah man they were awesome!
This test was awesome!! Lol. Love this old equipment testing
Oh for shizzle! My friend had one of those on his dash that made the kraco and 6x9's sound pretty 👍
Sparkomatic all the way. JL audio just wishes
Car audio's version of the bose wave radio. 😂😂😂
I had one of these in a 75 mustang under the dash, thanks for the memory, back then it wasn't a bad idea,12 watts was a lot then! I have tons of old audio buyers guides if you want them, along with 70s and 80s Playboy magazines, lol
Plz email me OldSchoolStereo (at) gmail
That booster case looks just like the Clarion OEM amps that came in my '85 RX7 GSL.
That is 100% something you would have found in a Warshawsky catalog!! Love it!
I’ve never heard of that catalog but just looked it up and that was JC Whitney to I guess those outside of the Chicago area?
@wal2 pretty much. The company had several names throughout the years and even through the 80s they still used both names. I think in the late 90s they dropped the Warshawsky name when they closed the original storefront in Chicago.
Worth refoaming nice little driver ✌🏻
Great video. Funny! Subbed.
Love those two little mosfets. That's all it needed 😮
sounds like a bass harmonica..i love it..
¿Que donde es Senior Riculous?
Nostalgic factor from the 80’s is a 8/10. Some dancing LEDs would have definitely made it 10/10. I’m sure a modern class D amplifier with modern high excursion mini-woofer works blow this out of the water but you have to remember this in the context of early 80s
It would be fun to get on Parts Express and find a nice replacement for it with a nice rubber surround and heck it probably have better specs than this speaker so it would be fun to retest it! 👍👍
Hey, not bad at all taking in consideration the age of the "mega-bassss-explosssion-system". Cool to see that!
Thats a sick little oldscool gaget
I love the wool sound pad loosely shoved in the box. We know big bass is possible with the right small driver and an insulated, ported enclosure. Just look at some of the great little speakers BOSE has made over the years.
Cool gear as always you should upgrade the speaker and test again
LMAO exploding car got me good one man good one great video. By the way, you won’t believe this, but my father found me one of those exact systems new in box practically with a whole bunch of stuff from Salvation Army and I was coming back in the 90s when I just started college. Had the matching booster and everything. I always thought it was a novel and I may still have it around the house. I don’t know. I never took it too seriously, I did hook a small boss amp up to it one time just for laughs and giggles
I really want this for my 93 toyota camry
I had two of those there awesome subs
My taco farts have more bottom end than this thing 😂
reminds me of one time i found an old set of 90s computer speakers in a trash can including a similarly hilarious 3" subwoofer. wouldnt say it was designed to really add bass but just add SOME kind of low end for more warmth.
Should put a new model 3” sub in that old style housing, nostalgia 😁
I heard dayton audio makes a replacement woofer for this super powerful 3 inch ground shaking woofer, it'll absolutely destroy everything within 2 miles radius with how low it can go
That's a cool old school; little box but it needs more everything lol. And yeah as someone commented Parts Express sells replacements.
