The txt you get from saving the skin when you are in the workbench. The vtf file is the one that you import in the workbench, which you exported using VTFEdit.
The download link for the finishes doesn't work. I tried many times but the download doesn't start, can you please upload the zip file to drive and give it's link?
You can convert the VTF file to TGA in VTFEdit and when you save your skin in the workshop a TXT file gets generated which you can use when publishing.
You could do it on the skin texture (on tue left in the tutorial) otherwise you would need to use another program which would be a whole different type of skin creation
@@rarebrockstark6219 I said it wrong, make sure you have followed the steps from 2:10 onward. Make sure you select the weapon when going into the shader editor. If this doesn't fix it. I will need to look into it some more.

@@MarkayCS I got to the point 3:18, and there's no "brushes" or "draw" at right side. I got blender v2.80 maybe I need more tutorials about overall software because it isn't intuitive

Why we make skins if we can use them onely offline and why if we sell it.. it will work for other people.. I dont understand how can we use the skin online?
The skin needs to be accepted by valve to be featured in the game on online servers, it would not make sense for valve to let everyone have their own skins and be able to use them online, since the steam market and cases would be useless, since you could just make the skin yourself that way.

Hmm, I haven't used Mac in a while, but I remember there being a progtam called Wine, maybe you can use that to use VTFEdit. Otherwise there may be a plugin in Photoshop to export as a VTF file.

No, you can't, unless it gets accepted by valve and put in the game. You can only use it in offline games. Check my other video to see how you can see the skin in offline games.

What are you trying to save? You should be able to save the files to your desktop. If you tell me what file you are trying to save to desktop I might be able to help :)
Since I don't have photoshop, and from your other comment I see you are using Photoshop it is best to use this tutorial by fellow skin maker Hollandje: ruclips.net/video/PJLHq0f1kfY/видео.html. He uses Photoshop and will show you what you are asking.
I dunno if u will see this but i encountered a problem at the csgo finishes and its because it doesnt download it i would appreciate it if u could explain it why if not not a problem :D
@@MarkayCS Well normal game models needs more maps for details, this is a diffuse (Standard maps, with only colors) So I was wondering if you could also make normal maps for more details, like complete PBR materials with bump, roughness ect.. not just colors.. is that not possiple? or do they only allow for colering a skin =
@@MarkayCS okay. So all we basicly can do is base coloring the item with one texture map right. I was just currious if we could change normal maps and other maps aswell. Other maps could control glow, roughness, bumb, shineyness ect. Witch would be nice to control on top of it :)

You can't use your skins in public matches at all, only offline. Unless your skin gets put in the game by Valve ofcourse.

Assuming you selected the deagle in the workbench you will need to play around with the values, as they are different for every skin.

Do you mean the Shader Editor? If so make sure you added the material to the gun before going i to the Shader Editor.

Probably using the wrong values in the workbench, it is hard to say what values you have to change. I suggest just playing around with the values.

Source image isn't a tga file it is a image of your weapon to be displayed in the workshop

Could be that Blender has had an update since posting this video, I suggest googling how to enter texture paint in your version of Blender.

It would need to be uploaded to the workshop and your skin would need to get accepted by Valve.

You can do both, I have a tutorial on my channel on how to use a texture from photoshop to import into Blender. It is personal preference, tbh.
