If, only if the server not 64tick, if valve really confident with their "subtick" they should forced pro match to be played in their official server rather than just use 3rd party 128tick server, if the pro only want to play on ACTUAL 128tick why should we deserve their official server(subtick)? as someone who started playing CS back in CS 1.3 around 1999-2000 if i recall correctly, i gave Valorant a shot 2 weeks ago and actually...its not too bad, the game has its perks and is genuinely fun. I am not fan of the childish cartoony artstyle and cheesy cringe lines of the agents and the skins, but the gunplay is very interesting and every round can be played in so many ways due to the abilities. Also i am surprised that its way less toxic than CS, in 10 games i had around 1 toxic match, whereas in CS I have around 2-3 chill games and 7 toxic, always the russians ruining the game. That being said, i enjoy playing both games currently on a casual level and enjoy both. Another thing is that i havent seen a cheater in Valorant yet, despite the controversial Vanguard software, which is a pleasant surprise after CS.

I think valorant is definitely better when it comes to cheaters but I had to put valorant down after a while because I had a week where I got only obnoxious 16 year olds making porn noises and pretending to be women having orgasms and shit. It's degenerate as fuck. I don't like any of my teammates in that game. In csgo the annoyance comes from attitudes, not straight up braindead mic spam. Both are equally bad, but I can only handle so many petulant children. I've been a CS guy since 2004 and played a bunch of Valorant when it came out but it just made me want to play CS instead, and in a way that's why CS isn't going anywhere, but a community projecting their insecurities because another game has better mass appeal is a tale as old as esports.

I played Cs since Beta, every iteration of it. iam 36 now and gave Valorant a shot in a phase where i just didnt had fun playing csgo anymore.
So I played valorant also since beta and atm iam back to playing more csgo again. Valorant is a fun game. It has more creative ways due to abilities and minor tweaks like he half mark of defusing a bomb, alone that offers so much mindgames with the enemy.
It was a breath of fresh air after decades of doing the same thing over and over again.
Riot games is pushing the esports aspect of it every year more and more, with their experience with league behind it.
In conclusion i like both games equaly now, only depends on who is online in my friendslist what game iam about to play that day.
Haters will always be there, but competition was always good for the greater good. Competition means both games will push to be better instead of milking the cash cow doing only the lowest effort to earn money. And it expands playerbases and esport scene in general wich is a great thing

I have played so much cs but switched to valorant to try it out. In the beginning it was a little frustrating, but after playing some time, I actually gotta admit that it’s so fun. Besides the gun game it’s a completely different game, so the comparison kinda lacks. I don’t like the passive aggressive cs mindset to just dislike Valorant without even trying it. Surely it’s not as hardcorish as cs might be, but does it make the game bad?

Ive been playing csgo for around 10 years and I picked up valorant during the beta and played consistently until skye came out. I think valorant does a lot of stuff different to CS, not necessarily bad but just different. I personally am not a fan of ability like games where different agents have different types of roles. I like that csgo is an even playing field for everyone, everyone has the same buy menus per teams and skill is everything. The thing about csgo that was hard to wrap my head around sometimes is the fact that to go pro or even just be in the top tier of players you need smoke lineups etc and the fact that simple things like the tick system always tended to cause issues. I’m excited to see what cs2 does differently to make the game more accessible to newer players with the new smoke systems, recoil/spray control follow recoil option, as well stuff like the sound ring on the minimap. I like the what you see is what you get design choices a lot.

Instead of there being a few types of utility to not use properly, each agent has at least 2 unique bits of utility that low ranked idiots don't understand. I went out of my way to throw consistent util every round in CSGO, and got to DMG. I'm currently diamond in Valorant, which means that basically i should have teammates that understand the fundamentals, but they just don't. I tend to just play Mirage and Cache in CS, but i think if i was forced to play 5 other maps too, including new ones like anubis and ancient, I'd be a much lower rank, similar to where i sit in valorant, but at least NOBODY knows the news maps in Val when they drop, so everyone is just as bad map knowedge wise, and that's where raw skill comes in. Overall, i think Val is harder because there are SO many raw aimers, but it's also easier than CS because you can rely on your characters abilities to carry you through gunfights. I love both games, but valorant deffo has a charm that CS doesn't have - until CS2? Plus, you can't tell me that the reason CS2 is even a thing is because Valve needs to clean the game up for sponsors/to compete with valorant and bring those pros back to the game - and also sell more skins lol.

People who said that you cant pick map is GOOD is dumb. We dont have all the time in the world learning all the map and line up. And your whole argument is that "no its not op because most of the people cant use it well" wtf lmao the problem is that there just too many util and it will became cluttered the more character introduced. Both amazing game but cmon valorant gunplay is way wordt and movement is so bad in valorant. And go try carry alone in valorant when your utility is locked as a certain role. Oh and the crappy map design that val have. Im plat in val and i can say that val is going to be shitier if they didnt slow down agent release and just freaking make replay mode that they promised 2 years ago

Compete with valorant in what? xD csgo has better esports with more viewers, it makes more money through case unboxings and its rich market, and it has a very high player base. The pros that left aren't even top 20 in csgo even in their peaks (kinda makes you wonder why they left in the first place) and they are mostly NA which doesn't impact much in CSGO as it's a heavily EU game. I'm not trying to shit on valo, but this is just facts. The only thing that valorant has that csgo doesn't are 128 tick servers and a better MM system (probably anti-cheat as well, but I haven't really looked into it). Sponsors are great and all, but I don't believe valve is willing to sacrifice a portion of their player base just to change "terrorists" to "attackers", because believe it or not, that would make a huge difference to a lot of people. CS2 has been in development before valorant came out, it's definitely not a move to "compete" with valorant, it is happening because they want to port their most popular game to the source 2 engine so we can have better and faster updates. Although I would lie if I were to say I wouldn't want more people into csgo, I'm fine with it as it is right now, If valve truly went all out to pander to a new audience, the old audience would all have left by then.
For the gameplay portion, I won't speak of it, it comes down to preference in the end, although I don't agree one is harder over the other. I agree valorant is more appealing to the younger generation and females with it's flashiness, csgo is for the diehard fans most of which have been playing for a long time and that makes it a bit hard to get into it in the first place.

As someone who has been in love with CS for nearly 2 decades I will have to say that valorant is actually quite a fun game when playing with friends. I agree it's better than overwatch, but to me the ultimates and utility in valorant are actually quite over the top. Nothing like getting molotov'd remotely. Or turning a corner into a turret. Ot shooting a guy and one tapping him with the vandal and then actually oh its a fake guy and you're flashed 🤦‍♂️. Don't get me started on the guy who can stealth up behind you invisible like a world of warcraft rogue. It's just over the top for my tastes. I liked valorant in the beta when it was more like CS and less like overwatch. Now it's approaching more of the overwatch/moba ability usage games. Csgo is mostly mechanical skill. Valorant is a little more ability based and strategic. Not saying one is better than the other, but csgo doesn't annoy me and valorant does. I've at least a thousand hours in both. So there's my two cents.

Strategic because, having the possibility to create different comps for each map, it makes the game always different and with new strategies to use or learn. The thing I hate most about cs go is the ranked system and the draw. imagine coming to a 15-15 match, why would I want to settle for a draw when I spent 1 hour or more on that match? at least valorant gives you the possibility to choose (now you will tell me that it's different on faceit, I know it's different, but here I'm talking about ranked systems, not third-party software)

Now I play with a mix sometimes CS and sometimes Valorant. So this video don’t serve justice. Would personally have someone like shroud to react because he has been pro at both games. And yes technically he did went pro in valorant for a year in team sentinels so it counts. No hate in both games I enjoyed both.
