I think contrary to what you are saying about the rehearsed videos seeming more genuine, when you feel that you know your content and have everything just so, it's a different energy. You strike me as a real stickler for perfection with what you create and put out, so perhaps the energy is different when you are making content that is a little more spontaneous and possibly out of your comfort zone where things are planned. Both your older and new videos are wonderful to me, and you continue to explore triggers which I don't see many other channels doing. In fact I've wittled down my subscriptions to ASMR channels because I can't keep up with too many videos. You're one of the only ones I still watch religiously. Don't be too hard on yourself ❤

I love how you've been sharing your gardening and I always thoroughly enjoy your beauty hauls. You should of course feel comfortable with how much of your family you're sharing. That is your choice to make and the safety/health of you and your family is the priority. We will all love you no matter what.

Honestly even if it's not super vloggy (like life stuff or whatever), I'm sure we'd all love even just random stuff like gardening, favorites videos [I absolutely love favorites/hauls/etc in any category because it's always interesting to see the things that other people like, and you have great taste!], makeup/hair "get ready w/ me"s, or anything else that you can just do from the comfort and privacy of your own room or such - if you're trying to think of content for this channel :) Even if it seems boring, a lot of us just find comfort in anything you post because it's like hanging out with a friend 🥰
Otherwise, don't worry about putting out too much content if you just need to spend time with your family! We love you and support anything you do!! ❤️❤️❤️
People could stand to be a LOT chiller about ASMR. Even well-meaning fans write multi-paragraph comments about how, for example, an artist's videos are the only thing "keeping them going" without stopping to think about how that information might affect the artist. It doesn't occur to them that might be inappropriate and as much a burden to the creator as it is praise or gratitude. Even well-meaning fans find it hard to remember artists are people - people we *do not actually know or have a relationship with*, who have their own anxieties and limits, and are dealing with their own issues we aren't privy to - and behave accordingly.
I'm sure you already know this but I'm just saying: you don't owe fans anything. You've earned your career, and are entitled to privacy and peace, there's no debt that needs to be paid with access. Your happiness comes first, so you do you!
It’s this massive increase in para-social relationships online. It’s very concerning, I hope Maria doesn’t get too overwhelmed with it all, I guess this is why some content creators stay anonymous :/
people that write things like: ""keeping them going" without stopping to think about how that information might affect the artist." are probably very depressed. one of the bad things about depression is that it makes a person very self centered. they barely have enough energy for themselves and there is nothing left over for others. such remarks may not be a reflection of the person's true character.
Yes. But while depressed people deserve compassion they are still responsible for their actions and the way they affect other people. Depression isn't a get-out-of-jail free card.
I 100% understand the hesitancy with sharing your family on the Internet. I honestly love watching anything you post on this channel and I have been reading other subscribers' comments saying the same thing, so hopefully you know that we love whatever you're willing to share with us. If I’ve learned anything from RUclips and family vloggers is that my child’s privacy is number one. The internet can be such a scary place and I totally understand why you want to keep your family life private. We appreciate these videos so much!

I had a channel that was growing a lot, and there were people telling me to kill myself, people who acted like we had a relationship, people who called me terrible names after I gained weight due to a health issue… being a RUclipsr is a rare experience… do whatever you must to protect yourself

Maybe do a "Masha over wine session" weekly? hahaha Also LOVE the behind the scenes stuff. None of us need updates about your personal life, don't worry. I'm so sorry about the creeps :(
Oh, and I always appreciate how you rehearse and memorize scripts. This is what makes a great artist for me (I'm a stage artist, rehearsing is 80% of my job lol). I've always been impressed by those videos with tons of information, and you just say them in one take, no voice-over!
Please know how much you are appreciated! Your long hours and hard work do not go unnoticed. You bring me peace, relaxation and comfort after my long hours working in the Emergency Room. Nursing is hard work, at the end of the day I feel like I need someone to give me comfort and caring, and you do just that. Love you Maria!❤

Definitely just do what makes you comfortable. A lot of people don’t seem to understand that parasocial relationships don’t make you friends/family with a content creator. It’s understandably quite creepy if someone oversteps boundaries.

It was really cool to hear you talk about your process for the old ASMR videos at the medical supply store. I can tell that you are more relaxed, like in the wooden play toy makeup video. I can tell when you go with the flow and I really enjoy it :) I love your old videos too but you have been pumping out some classics lately! Also- you were in a podcast I listen to. It was called Science VS. By Gimlet. It was so cool to hear about your videos being in really scientific ASMR studies! Anyways, please don’t feel that you don’t have to make videos if they make you feel unsafe. I can’t even imagine what you go through as a “public figure.” Just do what you think is best, even if that means taking a pause from videos. :) Have a great week, girl!
As a mom of 3 little girls, I 100% understand the hesitancy with sharing your family. Do what you are comfortable with. We are here to share in experiences with you, and those experiences should only be things that make you comfortable and inspired! I have been a subscriber for the last 5 years and my favorite vlog videos are behind the scenes (because it makes me really appreciate you as an artist), your tag along videos ( because you see things I wouldnt think to look at- it really changes how I view things) and your cooking videos! Personally I have LOVED your gardening content on this channel. Even though it’s not ASMR, it’s still incredibly relaxing and you seem so happy in your garden, geeking out over plants and veggies and landscaping, it’s enjoyable & nice seeing you so comfortable in your element outside of ASMR. I am not even going to comment further on your family (other than to say your fam is lovely) bc that is not my place or business - you’re a creator and there’s a line between personal and business, even if your biz is vlogs. honestly it never crossed my mind how having this channel and especially being at the center of social media reflect in your life, especially emotionally. it broke my heart bc NO ONE deserves to feel like this, we all have bad days but pressure is something very difficult to bear

The key thing to remember is that this is YOUR channel. You can choose to show whatever you wish, please don't ever feel like your obligated to show us anything in your life you're not comfortable sharing. Your safety and the safety of your family and yalls privacy is most important. It's unfortunate that there are people that blur the lines of reality and youtube. Hope you feel less stressed going forward! You have a lot of support behind you!
It’s amazing to see the setup for your videos! It’s taking me right back to my childhood when you get to see the reveal of a magic trick or backstage in a theatre. It doesn’t take away from the magic but somehow makes it even more magical lol thank you for sharing 💕🙏

I honestly love your videos. I have a playlist of my favorites videos of yours I play all day at work. Helps with stressful job. This is the first time I have seen a vlog type. You are so relaxing… thank you for your videos and the work you put into them.
Don’t be too hard on yourself. Sometimes things don’t work out but I’m proud of you for pushing through. When you put so much of yourself into your art and it doesn’t work out, it must be so discouraging. I can’t wait to see these videos though!

Don’t share anything that you are not comfortable with. Your life is yours to live. I enjoyed your “life” vlogs because it was like catching up with a friend and I genuinely got happy for your achievements and how your life has changed since I started watching your videos. But man! When I put myself in your shoes I understand that it’s a one way street, relationships are mutual, but in this case you share all of you and you receive none from the counter part so you don’t know who you are sharing with and that.it’s.scary. So even though I miss your life vlogs please don’t share anything that makes you uncomfortable, specially something as precious as your family. You are the best ASMRtist! You are my favorite. You have a lot of passion for ASMR and it shows in your videos. You are sensitive to the viewer and know what sounds are harsh and you remove them or avoid them (like talking in the background or traffic noise, etc.). So many ASMRtist have these harsh, annoying noises in their videos and I don't get it. Nobody wants to hear that. Instead of getting relaxed, I get anxious. But you know ASMR and you know what we want to hear. I try to watch other ASMRtists, but I always come back to you. You are my absolutely favorite! You are 100% gifted in this area! I've been watching you since 2012 and I think you've definitely gotten better and better. Thank you for all your hard work and effort and please make videos forever!

Sadly, and scarily, there are horrible people out there. I truly hope that RUclips have safety measures that can be applied to the people who are being unsavoury and are making you feel unsafe about sharing your family. That said you should never feel like you have to share your family. Personally I love the behind the scenes videos, because when you are talking about your filming or planned filming, your voice is as gorgeous as it is during your asmr videos.

Don't worry, Mila's gonna grow up seeing how her momma is such a hard worker. If anything it will empower her! Kids these days don't have a whole lot of respect for momma's that stay home and do nothing, but raise them and take care of the family. Sadly, I learned that from experience!! Not to mention after 23yrs we divorced & it left me totally screwed, because all I had for experience was 23yrs of being a stay at home mom.💔 SOOO, be proud of who you are and for how hard you work to try and balance it all. What an investment too with time and equipment. Always wondered how much planning went into it and just takes it up a notch w artistry knowing you rehearse etc. Bravo 👏 Maybe same thing w time management? In notebook? I have to do that w lists and stuff a lot w my ADD. Breaks for creative process and unfolding would seem very important as well. Anyway, sorry lots to say always LOL

María. I have been watching your content for years. I have loved it all! The super planned out ones, the impromptu ones, even the non-asmr ones! If someone doesn't like what you're doing, they can go find another asmrtist to watch. Nowadays there's ASMR for freaking everything! And be as private and as honest and as vent-y as you wish. Point blank these are YOUR channels. And the safety of you and your family comes first. Love ya!
