I feel like Maria is making more of the videos SHE wants to make. We're getting more videos on both GW and Sassy Masha, and they all feel a little different and she seems so smiley and herself. I'm loving it!

Grayson Walker Totally! You can see it in her eyes also! She’s said she feels like she has to play this person in her ASMR that isn’t really her and I think it’s been weighing on her and keeping her from enjoying her work. If you happen to read this, Maria, I love your personality, you ironing video is, for example, one of my favourites, listening to you be yourself and talk about your childhood is endearing. I know a lot of people agree with me so please don’t feel you have to become a completely different person for ASMR videos, we love you for you!

There is nothing wrong with being frugal - how do you think people with money keep their money? It's ok to splurge once in awhile, but being frugal is not something to be ashamed of. In regards to makeup - the cheaper drugstore brands are stepping up their game and you're correct, sometimes you essentially are paying that high price for the name. Anyway, you look fab!
I used to feel really ashamed about not buying branded stuff and used to go to great lengths to hide the fact that, for instance, my prom dress was not from a high end shop. I still feel a little embarrassed about not having items from banded shops and instead buying second hand sometimes, but not as much as I used to. I wonder why being frugal makes a person feel embarrassed...?
I buy cheaper brands and they work just as well as im on a budget id never want to be wealthy love living humbly and staying real.

I am American and went to art school. We said "mawv" for the pronunciation. The word is French named for the color of the mallow flower. I would think the French sound would be best, but in America we say things differently.

It was her mother’s pencil, actually. Like a literal pencil used for architectural drafting. I loved that she used that, too!

Maria, I love you and this is why I’m going to tell you.. cool tones dull down cool toned eyes. Check out makeup color theory. Best colors for blue eyes are warm tones- opposite of blue on the color wheel. If you want your eyes to pop, you need some warm tones. ❤️ xo
Jordie I am a make-up artist and that is definitely the case. Orange tones and peachy, even golds make blue eyes pop rather than cool shades.
I have green eyes and my eyes look best with Smokey grey, brown and amethyst.
Yes. Wardrobe color theory doesn’t carry over to eyeshadow. I think lips are a different case where there is the similarity or more wiggle room? But yeah...I have dark eyes and I’m warm toned but I discovered with the right shade of cool tones (purples and greys that aren’t ashy), they make my eyes look really nice. Green has never ever worked for me but a nice plum is good.

friarpark Exactly! Cool tones for blush, lipstick, contour/bronzer, clothing, jewelry etc. but when it comes to bringing your eyes out, it’s a different wheel house. I am fair with cool undertones and blue eyes and cool toned eyeshadows make my eyes look stormy and sad. Warm tones make them POP!
Rhonna Marsden amethyst is purple, opposite of green on the color wheel. I bet your eyes look stunning in this shade!
I find that matte lipsticks make my lips look fuller and more shapely; glosses and traditional lipstick make them look smaller. It's so interesting to see how every product is different on each person! These products look beautiful on you, Maria! I love these reviews.💙

I think you would love watching Alexandra Anele, her makeup teaching skills are so helpful and she has a really down to earth personality. Also I highly recommend trying indie brands because they’re usually mid ranged priced but with top notch quality, for example you could find individual shades of contour and highlights so you don’t have to buy a whole palette and end up not using everything. Some of my favorite indie brands are Coloured Raine and Sydney Grace Cosmetics (for eyeshadow), Em Cosmetics (for blush), and Glossier has so many amazing innovative products that are so easy to apply!
Hey, Maria! I’m not sure if you’ve seen AlyArt’s videos here on RUclips, but she has some videos on these topics like color and also body types. It’s helped my style a lot, but it’s very in depth. Thanks for all the videos this week. Everything you do is perfect:)
Yes! And the kibbe style types. Before alyart there was basically no kibbe content on RUclips. I have found it to be a very useful system!

Masha, how things change! You used to use a regular drawing pencil on tour brows and the smallest amount of foundation and some basic stuff. Now you've got a nice indulgent collection going and I love it! 😍 Beautiful inside and out!

Loved this video , Maria ! I just wanted to say that more expensive makeup does not always equal better quality . The drugstore has really stepped their game up over the years and a lot of the products are sometimes better than their high-end counter parts . However there’s nothing wrong with splurging for yourself . Love this color theory journey you’re on , very inspiring 💗

I have a similar skin tone to you Maria, and I would say most contour kits on the market cater to warm toned skin. I’ve used the NYX contour kit before and all shades were way too warm or too dark. I used to use the NYX blush in taupe for contour, which was ok. On the higher end a lot of people suggest the Kevyn aucoin I think it’s a contour duo? At the moment I’m not wearing contour and just lightly bronzing with fenty beauty powder bronzer in the shade “Indasun” which is a beautiful soft colour, not too dark. Also Hoola light might be a nice colour for you too if you want to bronze lightly instead! :)
Does anybody know a beauty make up youtuber that makes videos like this and who isn't super loud and overly dramatic? These videos give me so many tingles because they are so calm and I would love to watch more videos like this.
Lisa Eldridge is the one for you then! Her kinda posh british accent is beautiful, she talks very calmly and smoothly and everything is fairly relaxing in her videos (l love the one where she tested Rosie Huntington Whiteley's make up products on Rosie herself)

The lipstick and liner are absolutely beautiful on you!! I used to have a hard time buying luxury products but there can be a huge difference. If I like a color or product enough that I will use it up, I don’t feel as bad because it typically lasts a long time. You look gorgeous!

That revolution glisten is really pretty on the eyes but I also use it on my lips and it's stunning. Gives a nice soft glow and catches the light beautifully. Makes your lip line stand out naturally as well. Thanks for sharing your haul Maria. We are the same age so it's nice to see a youtuber who does there makeup more like I do and not super extra snatched.😄

I love Nars. I’ve been using it since I found it for cheap at TJ Maxx once. It’s the best foundation I’ve found. You do have to use a setting spray after your powder though because it will come off due to the creaminess.

Makeup especially is something that really varies in quality and price so don’t feel bad about spending a little more of items that work for you! I’m very frugal when it comes to makeup but I still go out and buy my $30 concealer every time it runs out bc nothing can beat the quality of it🤷🏻♀️

I love this! it goes to show that we are always constantly capable of change and finding out how to love and appreciate ourselves. I would however recommend looking into cruelty-free and/or vegan makeup brands, because unfortunately the big brands often don't think about being ethical or making their products sustainable.
