This is genius, Maria! People with ADHD (like myself) use this concept as a tool for managing our executive dysfunction, but we call it "body doubling." For whatever reason, it's easier to accomplish chores when there's another person in the room with you, doing their own chores.
Yessss fellow gal with ADHD-these types of videos are a godsend

This is great! I did some work emails, changed the bedding, vacuumed the spare room and ordered some hair dye. A very productive 20 minutes or so!
I think if you flip the foil and plastic wrap thing the opposite way, it will be easier to tear it off. 🥰 (so the empty square area will go on the bottom instead of the top)

Love this series. I put this video on and did as many little chores as I could until the video ended. Got a lot more done than I thought I would!
A tip with the highlights, you don’t wanna go over your already lightened hair because it can damage that even more. If you just go over new growth, sweep the ends out of the foil, and then fold how you did it’ll save you time and bleach. Cosmetologist here and you did a really good job for doing it on yourself! I know actual stylists that refuse to do their own hair because it’s so tricky😂 appreciate you❤️

Pro tip for the compost, we keep ours in the cabinet under the sink in empty Folgers coffee cans!! They’re smell proof and hold a decent amount, just empty when full and wash out with dish soap
Needed to mend pants today and was gonna skip it until I saw this video!
I nearly died when Maria said $240 for highlights 😱. Costs me around £78 and that includes a cut and blow dry. I definitely need to buy the cling film and tin foil holder. I love it 🥰💜💜

This is called body doubling!! as someone with ADHD this is the only way I can get things done! I learned the term and concept last year during college when my boyfriend got sick and was in bed a lot. I couldn’t get my homework done anymore for some reason because he wasn’t doing stuff in the same room as me 😂

I love doing little DIY jobs like this around the house. In fact my dream job would be to get paid to do these jobs in my own house all day.
A friend taught me to keep my compost scraps in the freezer. No smell! Just keep a small bin inside:)

Absolutely zero disrespect to hairdressers, of course it should good cost money as they’re providing a service and skill but it’s just not something everyone can afford/justify anymore in order to have nice hair.
You often see a lot of hairdressers on RUclips and TikTok strongly critiquing and condescending women doing home highlights or box dyes but doing what you’ve done in this video had worked for people like you and I for years! 👸🏼
