The number of people who say they "hate" Rorschach completely prove why the character exists: he's supposed to be an extreme figure of justice, a parody of the "masked detective" like The Question, much like how Comedian parodies Peacemaker. He is deliberately designed to be provoking and "offensive", his entire character is built around never backing down or compromising even if it is seemingly for the greater good.
@@XofHopeI have read it and rorschach is the best character that came out of watchmen. That's consistent with alot of normal people's ideals, because it turns out that, if the greater good happens to be impossible and abstract/hard to define when you reached that greater good, endless genocide happens until the entire society burns down and is replaced by another. Watchmen is also a comic where most characters vision of the world reach it's pessimistic logical conclusions, Rorschach is ultimately defeated by a bigger force than him, and when confronted with reeducation, he doesn't skip a beat to die fighting the forces he swore to destroy than live a broken life where everything is meaningless because he lost his soul in exchange for his survival. For most people, that's better than a humam sacrifice for uncertain stability and peace (Ozymandias choice), we don't know if peace will hold forever (based on only the first watchmen), so we don't know if that sacrifice is worth it, and Ozy clearly sets an precedent for possibly even worse sacrifices in the future by the hands of Manhattan. Dr. Manhattan’s decision to kill Rorschach is both a personal and philosophical one. @@connorhofmann5691 If there's one thing Rors doesn't know and is incapable of is love. He's motivated by anger, hatred even. He doesn't care about anyone but himself, he does what he does not out of love but because it was the way he found to give himself validation when everyone else, starting with his own mother, saw him as nothing but a stupid waste of space.
As a scientist, getting to the bottom of things and trying to find their ultimate truths is what moves me. First, objective truths are hard to come by. Second, they matter far less than how they impact people.
Rors is the perfect example of a virtue turned flaw.
If you look at the blood splashes left of Rorschach you can clearly see the pattern matches his mask, it was a great touch that wasnt originally in the comic.
So misunderstood, and so underrated. He was a true anti hero, and he was right. Telling more lies to people would only result in the same outcome, truth must be told.
"What's one more body amongst the foundations?"
"...."
This shit hit me so hard when i was a kid. Dr. Manhattan says nothing because it would be nothing. As a kid this line hit me so hard because it wasn't even a line it was just a pause while looking at their faces, Dr. Manhattan to show his disinterest in humanity and Rorschach as he comes to terms with his end, he accepts his fate while also holding contempt towards the man responsible
He carried the movie for me personally.
to me this is the greatest DC movie Ever , wow just rewatched it and remembered why i liked it back then
Absolutely GOATED edit. I'm deadass serious when I say this is possibly the most greatest edit I've ever seen so far done on the internet.
You know what Rorschach shows? He shows you don’t have to be beautiful to be a hero.
Rorschach needs his own movie.
My favorite character from the watchmen
Watchmen is peak (especially comics)
Integrity in this world is something that can’t be let to exit sadly
Something about this video keeps bringing me back
ive watched it almost every day for like the pat month lmfao
Same, the visuals and music are so captivating
Also good acting by the blue guy. Without talking he communicated a lot. While supposedly emotionless.
I watched this movie when I was probably a bit too young for it. Superheroes never hit the same for me after this masterpiece.
This edit is perfect, one of the best on youtube. I won’t compromise on that. Not ever.
I never read rhe books but this character is what made me really get invested in the movie. All of Rorschach's scenes are great. The actor did an amazing job.
Dr. Manhattan’s decision to kill Rorschach is both a personal and philosophical one. By looking away, he briefly withdraws from the immediacy of the situation, as if distancing himself emotionally from the difficult action he’s about to take. This moment shows a rare glimpse of his inner conflict, perhaps the closest Dr. Manhattan comes to a "human" hesitation.
The way he says "Do It" the first time. 😭
Shit... that is one of the hardest hitters i've seen in a while when it comes to Heartbreaking edits.... Suffocation fits Rorschach so well in this edit. I'm amazed.
Rorschach needs more edits to his name, also my first AE edit, hope yall enjoy🕵
bro is evolving 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
In the end, rorshach got what he wanted and the people found out anyway through his journal. I love watchmen
@@BramXDead ok
My guy this was your FIRST edit?! I just got into Watchmen lore, and just finished watching the movie, all because of this very same edit you made. Great edit, for a great movie, and a great character 👏I deadass can't get enough of it.
you crushed it
Watchman is the best movie ever in the history of superhero comic movie. It is a much underrated gem.
This is one of the most iconic scenes of this movie.
Never compromise, not even in the face of Armageddon.
that was one of the most powerful secenes in the movie
I’m still pissed off that this didn’t get more praise. This is in my opinion, the best super hero movie ever made. I was really suprised by the mixed reviews it got. I really wanted to see more when the movie ended.
Toji has a very unique aura like bro legit made us play sekiro, watch hajime no ippo, made us read usogui, read comics, and now watchman, and all of that with edits.Bro is 🐐
also the mentalist.
😅
wrong video my man, seems like ya comment glitched

@@The_scrongler1978 Nah he's not referring to Toji Fushiguro, The creator of this vid is Toji.
Is that what happens to us no time for friends only our enemies leaves roses good joke
-Rorschach
Watchmen best dc comic ever roscharch is the most depth anti hero in dc
It's that what happens to us?
No times for friends?
Only our enemies leaves roses?
Good joke.
Truly. A good joke.
Watching this as a kid, it was too complex to understand, then reading the original comic as a class kid l, disecting the graphic novels and as a class project re-enacting it and I got to design the costumes, I spent so much time on the commedian and it was the best group project I ever made, we obviously got the best grade for english class for that project, if only I could g3t a copy of that video.
year 2011, "I thought I was just watching this masterpiece for fun... but somewhere along the way, without even realizing it, my mind started soaking up the essence of this beautifully broken character. Little did I know, this would shape who I’d become-fueling the development of my future self, molding my permanent persona."
Are you quoting yourself ... or ?
@@Philc2 Quoting myself, admiring the character and also admiring how brilliantly zack adapted it into movie. All in one
@@Tushar-wp1yh ahh I thought so.
Quite an affecting movie / story
@@Philc2 Yeah, definitely. Zack is a master at affecting society through his art. He is simply unmatchable when he works with DC characters." 🙌🏻
This is the peak superhero movie. I do not think there will be another movie like this
I hate how angrily he faces his death because there's no clearer indication of how desperately he wanted to live.
He understood his situation, and he still faced it. He knew he was facing a cruel god
but he still faced his end, truly himself.
He never even considered his code once he knew his life was on the line
He just
put it up
because of this fire edit i watched the watchmen, it was great !!!! thx
Bro opened challenged Dr.Manhattan type of strong DC being 🥶
DC?
@@DibbzTV The Watchmen is part of DC

Man this edit is amazing 🔥🔥🔥
It's been 4 months and i still return sometimes to watch this edit.
Same and for a “first ae edit” as well, this is crazy good imo
sick edit man
Love it, great edit!
i loved this character. The actor played it so well.
The most outstanding antihero ever. The complexity of this character is boundless. And was acted superbly!
An epic milestone of a movie and the character of Jackie Earle Haley was the best
My god my eyes are blessed. Peak. 🔥
This character deserves a series for sure.He is such a literally me character. ❤
You suddenly made me want to read Watchmen
You definitely should, I read it years ago, but I was too young to get it properly, so I'm rereading it, It's really good

what an edit!!!
Captivating....
Great edit fam !
Daniel’s reaction is so brutal
Though dark, Rorschach was the realest of all of them.
Dudeeeee 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
What a G.O.A.T.ED EDIT DUDEEE
This was way too fkn good gotta find that song
He can see the future but doesnt see the journal being posted..always does me
Can’t believe people hated this movie.
Batman & Rorschach are best dark superheroes of all time
One of the best movies and these two are the best characters of the show
Bro a Rorschach movie would have been so fucking badass
First contemplation: Look at Dr. Manhattan eyes, looking away from Rorschach as he told him to "Do it." For a moment, he thought what he could do before this all happened but instead didn't do anything.
Second Pushed: He wouldn't have let Rorschach leave, but during that brief moment, you see him hesitate. Rorschach saw it, too, so he got louder. "DO IT!" Saying it as a pusn so it would be done and it was. Simple wave of the hand, not the snap of a finger, or swing of an arm, just a wave and where Rorschach stood only blood remained.
His hat falls as the thing remaining from him.
im obsessed with this video
Good things always end
Beauty of justice ❤
This is really good man 🔥
Earned a sub
ty!
Rorschad and Dr. Goathattan , truly some of the best written comic characters. Peak film 💯
Rorschach's death broks my heart 💔 what a charcter
What an arc for a character plot
It is definitely advisable to take the Rorschach from Snyder's adaptation as a version with nothing to do with the original comic.
Earle born to play Roscharch. I love his acting.
This scene is so much better than the comic version for having Nite Own be there.
This guy is truly if batman was real
i love the way the show stops falling when rorschach sees dr manhattan
