Thank you so much for this video. I haven't tried foiling yet but, you make it look so easy and fun, and of course it's beautiful. I love the foiled Loo best. I have that stencil and I just love it!
I love all the tips! The last Thank You card is a technique I never used. I have to make a lot of TY cards for my business & will be using the score tape method & stealing your beautiful, clean design! Thanks Simon!!!
You can add two colors of foil to the tape strips. I save all of my used foil pieces. I put the negative space down of a piece of foil that has some kind of pattern or detail to it. Press that in and lift off. There will still be unfoiled spaces on the tape so I use a second color and press it in. You can make some really pretty designs that way.
Loved the foil strips! The foiled Loo stencil looked amazing 😱. Thanks for these tips! I also enjoyed Oreo’s cameo😍😍😍🐶. Thanks for mentioning the podcasts. I listened to a few other ones when shelter in place began and then forgot all about them so I will go and get caught up as I enjoy those. Thanks for sharing, Simon! 🤗😄
Oh, Oreo is SO cute. Oh, yeah, love the foul, too. Especially liked that watercolor foil; gorgeous! I bought the cake stencil and haven’t used it yet. I really need to get it out and try it.
How to fiol was my favourite as I had these for 2 years didn't know if you stuck them or ???? Thank you so much love the foil line card best love the cake aswell I'm beginner 🇬🇧
I like that you can use a die cut machine with foil! Something funny, I have a tool in my kitchen from many years ago that looks just like like the texture paste buddy! The cake card was my favorite.
Simon, these are so great! I have some of this paste and have almost never busted it out. I also have those gilding flakes and I might have to just play with some of your awesome ideas today! Great video and fantastic cards!
This has me finally interested in foiling. Thank You. When using the laminator what was the clear material that you said to use or a piece of printer paper. If anyone has an answer to this question I would appreciate. Thanks
Love your ideas, Simon! My WOW moment was that multi-colored one - I think you said it was watercolor foil. Anyway, it was gorgeous! I do have the duo paste but haven't played with it yet. I must get my act together!
Great video Simon! I just don’t have room for another piece of large equipment like a laminator and thought I’d never be able to use foil on my cards so THANK YOU for this hack!!!
I haven’t used foil yet. It looked pretty easy. I bought some foiling heat pens, but I’m not sure what to with them. 😳. Thanks for the good instructions.
Hi, Simon! Love the vid! Oreo is one step away from having his spotty appearances take him to an online career! He's adorable! I like the stencils you used. I have the dot stencil and I LOVE the other one... I looked below and think you call it "the loo"... I can only figure it's based on bathroom tile design LOL. I liked all the cards!!
Thank you for being an inspiration and sharing so many tips. I’m looking forward to trying the foil out using score tape. Neat idea 💡 Seems the most obvious techniques and ideas are the ones we over look. Thanks again. My hen Charley says hi to Oreo. (She was watching the video with me)
Wonderful foiling ideas, Simon! I loved the card with the blue and green foiled background but all were really good! I'll have to try the duo paste. It would be nice not to have to drag out my foiling machine. Thank you!
I'd love it if any of these techniques worked for me, but I can only conclude that you (and apparently everyone else out there) are doing something in the process that I am not. I have given up trying to make it work by any method and I refuse to buy a dedicated machine to make it happen.
