What a fabulous technique idea!! As someone that can’t afford/refuses to go down the hot foil rabbit hole I am thrilled to see this idea!! Can’t wait to try it! Thanks so much👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🧑🏼🎨😀🦋
This is truely Brilliant! You are using what you have, not spending yet more money, and best of all it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your wonderfulky creative and generous heart.
Thank you for this wonderful technique. I love the foiled look, but just can't justify the expense of a foiling machine or laminator at the moment. I'm excited to give this a go!
Genius, absolute genius! I love the foil look, but so many tools, more specialized supplies... crafting is already expensive!! I will be using this technique. Thank you SO MUCH!!
You have revived my excitement for card making again! I had lost the drive I first had. Watching your fabulous techniques, I can't wait to start again! Thank you so very much. Duly subscribed, with a thumbs up!
Brilliant! What a great technique. I can’t wait to try this. I’ve been intrigued by foiling but don’t want to invest in more machines. This looks like a good alternative. Thank you!
Wow, this is a game-changer! I love the look of foiling but don't want the expense - plus the way you are doing it, it opens up a thousand ways of using the dies that I already have. Thank you so much!
You are brilliant! Not all of us can afford a foiling machine, plus all the plates you would need to invest in. Thank you I’m definitely going to give this a try.
Thank you very much, you're incredible. Such a creative idea, again, thanks for sharing it with us. Wish you and your loved ones the best always. Greetings from Morelia México
Now that's just plain old amazing! I would never have thought that running foil cardstock through a die cutting machine would make such a difference. Well done!
Awesome technique! Wish I had viewed this before I ɓought a foil machine. I will still be saving money on future patterns, using my existing dies and your technique!! Bravo!
Just a note on my experience when I tried this technique with my Sizzix Big Shot Foldaway. The Foldaway had too much pressure for the silicone mat to work correctly on my machine so I used the plastic Impression pad instead and it worked like a charm! I couldn't get the silicone mat to work in my Switch at all at it totally squished and stretched the mat.
Brilliant idea 💡. I'm going to give it a try right away as I'm preparing for a stall on Sunday with my daughter who makes jewellery. Cards don't move much here in Italy but I like making them, so as I'm my daughter's little helper at the fair I'll put some out as it's wedding and communion time now. Thanks for your tutorials, so good, short and to the point with no larking around 🤣
Great technique! I have been tempted to invest in a foiling machine on many occasions but resisted! Glad I did now! Will deffo be trying this over the weekend! ❤💘💘
WOW! 😮 I’ve never seen this technique. I am so excited. I do have a foiling machine but I also have a lot of metallic paper…. Thank you so much for sharing with us this technique. 💛TR
I really love this fantastic technique. I have a hot foil machine BUT this seems a great solution so I don't have to worry about under or overfoiling (less of a problem now that I have the Switch). This year my holiday cards are featuring a large partially foiled die cut on a stamped background and I wanted to add some small coordinating elements in foil but was afraid of mucking up the already stamped background. PROBLEM SOLVED. Instead of hot foiling on the card front I can cut the coordinating die shapes and adhere them in this manner than continue on attaching the large die (to which I want to add dimension) and the sentiment. Voila! Thanks so much.
I really love this technique. Thank you so much because I’ve been seeing the Fort Wayne machines and I just can’t see a purchase in them and now for sure I can’t.
I have been avoiding getting a foiling machine. I don’t like the idea that I have to get special dies to go with the machine. I’ve already got lots of dies, and don’t want to get special hot foiling ones. This will allow me to use the dies I’ve already got for this technique. Woo hoo! Thank you!
These cards are amazing! It's so nice to see techniques that allow us to make beautiful cards that look like we've spent lots of money on a machine and supplies to create them. Thanks, Lou! I'm so glad that I found you again!! I just subscribed to your channel.
What a fabulous technique idea!! As someone that can’t afford/refuses to go down the hot foil rabbit hole I am thrilled to see this idea!! Can’t wait to try it! Thanks so much👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🧑🏼🎨😀🦋
My sentiment exactly as what Mari stated. Thank you Lou for this tutorial. I love it - what a brilliant idea. Will be giving this a go.
On big areas like this to wet glue, put the glue on a sponge and dab it on, it covers more faster.
One question, how did you get the gold onto that clear accitate?
Or stampin up has adhesive sheets.
This is great. I love the look of foil but don't want to spend the money for another machine. Thanks for a great technique.
Wow what an amazing technique !! I love foiling but have not been able to justify the cost of a hot foil machine yet
Genius, absolute genius! I love the foil look, but so many tools, more specialized supplies... crafting is already expensive!! I will be using this technique. Thank you SO MUCH!!

love this technique Lou, i did have a foiling machine but just couldn't get on with it, this is much easier.
Wow, this is a game-changer! I love the look of foiling but don't want the expense - plus the way you are doing it, it opens up a thousand ways of using the dies that I already have. Thank you so much!
Awesome idea; cheaper and easier to do without having to buy the foil. I can't wait to try it after the snow goes away so I can get to my craftroom.
You are brilliant! Not all of us can afford a foiling machine, plus all the plates you would need to invest in. Thank you I’m definitely going to give this a try.

I've been on the fence about getting a foiling machine. You just saved me many 100s of dollars!! Thank you so much! ❤

Really good to know how different machines give varying results. Thanks for letting us know!

Make-up sponges also work great for applying glue.
