You have revived my excitement for card making again! I had lost the drive I first had. Watching your fabulous techniques, I can't wait to start again! Thank you so very much. Duly subscribed, with a thumbs up! xx
Goodness! I just came here from watching your faux foiling technique, which was fabulous, and here we are - another wonderful technique. I'm glad to have found your channel and am subscribing now!
That is a brilliant technique Lou, I will definitely be giving it a go. Heat embossing never fails to impress me, I find it so fascinating to watch the powder change. Thanks for the tutorial XX
Thank you Lou for another new creative technique with gorgeous results! I know you favor the distress and oxide inks in your makes, but I wonder if other brands of ink pads would work? The idea of using a glue pen to adhere EP brings up a whole realm of possibilities!
Yes absolutely, so long as they blend nicely there’s no reason not to use other brands! Just don’t try any ink with a solvent base as this will permanently cover or discolour the embossing x
Love the look of this technique and your videos! I have tried this with both embossing powder (Ranger - Gold) and gilding flakes before applying the distress oxide inks. In both instances, the dried glue that is not coated by the medium creates a resist to the inks which creates a white shadow. Is there a solution?
I haven’t had this issue before so I would suggest maybe using g less glue and ensuring all the glued areas are covered in the gold medium. Perhaps your adhesive is particularly thick creating a raised area maybe?
Oh my god she has to make a little bit of money from all the hard work she puts into her channel. And she does beautiful work❤ . Anyway pay for premium youtube if u don’t like the adds, it’s less than a $1 a day.
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. To avoid having to buy that very expensive paper.
I agree that the magic of embossing won me over to card making!!

4:42 mark when you drag the ink pad - embossing powder end up on the pad? Thanks for the demo. I’m definitely going to try this! 😅
Such a fabulous idea Thank you for sharing Lou! I wonder what it will look like on patterned paper? The two cards are gorgeous xx
Absolutely love this technique! Thank you for the tutorial, Lou. 💕
That's for sharing such beautiful cards, can I use tombow mono liquid glue?❤
What if you spritzed with water before using heat gun, what would happen?
I would love to try this technique but the glue you use isn't available in the U.S. Not sure what to substitute.
Did you use any specific paper?
Can you use regular distress ink or does it have to be oxide
These are lovely cards. I am interested to know if there is an advantage here to using glue as opposed to an embossing ink like Versamark.
Only the application, I find glue gives the streaks a little easier and takes longer to dry so you end up more time to work with it x

Will try that. Happy New Year!
Can i do the embossing after I ink blended ? Is there a reason for using glue over embossing ink?
Hi, only that you’d need to wait for the ink to fully dry first, which can take a while 😊
@@LouCollins Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that embossing ink dried as soon as you heat set the powder.
@@vanessabrown28 I think Lou is talking about letting the blended ink dry if you do that first.
You’d get more views if you didn’t have 2 two minute commercials at the beginning.

@@rebeccagreen2219 I’m not blaming her. It’s RUclips.
