I have been making my own greeting cards for years, but watching your videos. Has given me new ideas and challenges. Now retired, I have more time to try new things. These cards are wonderful, as are all of your creations. I've ordered some of your stamp sets, and they are the best I've ever used. Keep up the good work, Gina, cause you are an inspiration to many!
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know an approximate setting for the iron? I can't afford a laminator right now, but really want to do some foiling. @@KayDejaVu
I’m seeing now that so many are using the foil with the heated laminator. I’m so glad because, like so many, l’ll never buy such an expensive machine without much versatile ways.
I so love your videos, always wonderful techniques and beautiful results. I have passed over the transfer gel so many times, now I cannot wait to get it. Thank you Gina you are awesome.
This is a wonderful technique. The results are so pretty and it seems fairly easy. Thanks for your videos. I appreciate the speed if your speech. It gives time to my brain to understand and record the info. English is not my mother tongue. Greetings from hot Singapore
This could be a total game-changer now that I have a bunch of foils, but haven't had a lot of success working with them! Thanks for all I have learned---from this video and the many others. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow, and I always learn something new. I am fairly new to this craft, and I am having a ball trying new techniques. And the ones that don't work so well make very lovely grocery lists!
I just can't get enough of this video, Gina! Thank you for all the different techniques using the Transfer Gel! If only my brain can recall everything lol!! I'll just keep reviewing your video! Mahalo!
Gina, I just reviewed the "original" video of "5 ways..."....and now am wondering if you've also done a video using the "leftover foil papers" with cards??? I hope the answer is YES so that I can view that one also.....OR that I've given you another one to "add" to your "to do" list! :-)). Must tell you, too, that YOUR VIDEOS are "so easy to follow"...and I LOVE THAT! Being a "retired elementary teacher", I look for the clarity/explanations in each video that I watch! YOU GET AN "A+"! THANK YOU again from this "happy cardmaker"! :-))
Oh WOW! Gina ... how exciting is this!! Wonderful techniques without a lot of tools or intimidation! Love it! You are still my most favourite "teacher" in the card-making world ever, after all these years! Love you, girl!! Thanks for keeping on inspiring all of us who are so blessed to know you! Hugs ~
Guess I know what I'll be doing on my summer break this year! Thank you for sharing your ideas, Gina. Your videos were the first I watched when crafting became a part of my life about 8 years ago. When I need an idea (and great products), I go straight to Gina K!
Thank you for sharing all these great ways to use the foil gel. I will be getting mine soon and can't wait to try. You mentioned saving the foil pieces for a reversed look. Do you have a video for that? I would like to see how they are used.
My gosh...my gosh...my gosh! My head is spinning here! I cannot believe how beautiful these cards are. And hey...in plenty of time to think about the beautiful Christmas cards I'll be making. But my, oh my...I will be dreaming about ALL the lovely cards... with the gel and foil...the gel and glitter...using my stamps with the gel...and OH...the biggest surprise of all!!! I just happen to have the sun ray stencil by Tim Holtz! One little thing I won't have to buy. lol. You are quite the buzz among many of my favorite card makers, you know. When Jennifer McGuire mentions how much she loves your products, you KNOW how wonderful they are! Gina...I'm gonna have to go back and re-watch so many of your videos. I love your designers, too. Especially Teresa Momber and Melanie Meuchinger! I can't tell you how much I've learned from all of these videos! I'm so glad I'm emailed whenever a new video is posted. Thank you so much for inspiring so many of us! And now my oldest daughter (out of 4 kids...she's turning 50 this Fall) has really begun a love for card making. Of course I've steered her towards your videos! Bless you precious lady :-)
Holy smoly! unreal! Gina u r changing my entire world! I thank u from the bottom of my heart for sharing! and I'll never forget our phone call! I'm still reeling from it! that you took the time to call me! me Lil Ole me! instead of having a staff member! I cannot tell u how much that meant and u ticked off a box on my bucket list! next is to meet u! I can't wait to get this product also! just love u!
FANTASTIC video, as always Gina K! I think your Stamp TV videos were the first I watched years ago, and I still come back to see your new ones, and when I'm going to use a technique again that I've used from your Stamp TV series, I often re-watch that tutorial to remind me of each step. It was because of watching your tutorials that gave me the faith that I COULD learn online more card-making techniques instead of going out to take classes, which is generally not physically possible. I thank you so much, and I owe you so much!!! I love your stamps, your cardstock is second to none (love, love, LOVE it!!! Still hoping someday you will be able to bring back green apple, and I still miss vibrant violet), and I not long ago bought some of your ink to try and know it will be wonderful too. Your Stamp TV kits are fantastic, everything you bring is wonderful. I so appreciate your integrity in all you do, I have been so very impressed and thankful. I just needed to express my appreciation to you. Yours was the first of online videos I watched, so you set the bar very high for others I have watched and also love, like Jennifer McGuire, who clearly thinks you are wonderful as I do. I think you are an amazing lady and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn online, this hobby has been my sanity when I'm able to create--and when I'm not, I love watching videos until I can create.
I owe you a great deal! My first purchase with you was to buy my very first cling rubber stamp set (A Year Of Flowers--what an AWESOME stamp set, by the wonderful Melanie Meuchinger! I've bought #2, and #3 of A Year of Flowers is on my list. I have many stamps by Melanie, many by the also wonderful Theresa Momber--LOVE her coloring tutorials, man, she has taught me so much. I have a passion to color better, and her tutorials on coloring are FANTASTIC!!! I need to know WHY a shadow goes somewhere and she explains it to a non-artist like me, and many Gina K great stamps), and I remember e-mailing to ask what sizes of acrylic blocks I needed to buy with my 1st ever online order, and you got right back to me and told me exactly what I needed. I didn't understand how your Stamp TV kits worked, I somehow thought a video came with them, but then found out that the videos were on Stamp TV. Dumb me! You were such a great help, and my purchases were always like Christmas when they arrived. Now when I order, I pick them up across the border (I live close to the US border, thankfully), so the process is different, but I cannot place an order without purchasing your WONDERFUL cardstock!!! If anyone is on the fence about ordering from Gina K Designs, let me tell you that my experience has been stellar!!! DO order, you will be extremely pleased with the quality of EVERYTHING they carry, I am especially happy with anything with Gina K Designs brand, their quality is exceptional, and their customer service is fantastic. Lovely people to work with always. I've had a couple of issues with items being lost when a package or two was opened at customs, which was upsetting to me--because product was lost in one case, damaged in another. Gina K made it right, but I felt really bad about something that probably had nothing to do with them. Fortunately, picking up my orders in the US means I bring my own packages across the border myself, so no more issues that way. I cannot speak for every online company, but I CAN say that Gina K Designs is a very top-notch, hard-working company, and I am LOVING it when I see Gina's brand in other stores, and when I see other great artists and brands collaborating with Gina. She has worked very hard, I consider her a pioneer in bringing card-making to the place it is now, and she highly deserves her place as one of the true greats in card-making, because she IS one of the very, VERY BEST. So, DO shop there, and do buy her products, and you will be THRILLED with the quality, THRILLED!!!
Hi Gina, it is me again, asking more questions..Sorry...I too have made cards for yrs and wrote you not long ago about some of the foiling techniques and thank you for getting back with me. I have now bought some of your very beautiful foils and only have a question or two before I am ready to go..DO you know of ANY WAY to foil on a embossed card? and then I have seen where some people say to keep your negatives of your foils and you can use them, but I don't know how that works? Have you any ideas on how to do these two things, or where I could find a video..Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us..IT amazes me how many wonderful people out there are so creative in so many different ways! I love it~thanks again~ Blessings, Victoria
I attempted the transfer gel on a stamp as you previewed in your video. Not sure if the weight of my cardstock was the problem, but after just a minute stamping, the paper became part of the stamp as I pulled it away. I have since tried it with a stencil and am waiting for it to try to see how the foil works.
Gina love your videos you have so many techniques and you really explain how to put the cards together. i wish you could add more masculine birthday cards
I am definitely going to try this. Thanks so much! How do you keep the glitter from coming off the card when the person receives it, takes it out of the envelope?
I used the Hot Melt Adhesive with the Cuttlebug (iron on). I just bought the tranfer gel and I think I will like it. Stamping is a better idea for letters than stencils.
AWESOME! Thank you soooo much for this video tutorial, I have been wanting to create some custom labels for my gift boxes and this has shown me exactly how to get the look I'm after, and cost-effectively to boot! You are the best! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration. I bought my first jar of transfer gel and am so excited to see how to use with the glitter as well as the foil and of course the stamping technique.
Oh, Gina! I LOVE EVERY ONE OF THESE CARDS n' TECHNIQUES with the Deco Foil Transfer Gel! Can't wait to get this gel and try some of these! A couple of questions: Do you always let the gel air dry? Or can you use a heat tool, such as on the RAYS' card?? On the SAVE THE DATE card, you applied the glitter while gel is still wet, correct?? Lastly, I have some older metal stencils and wonder if those, too, can be used with the gel?? As always, THANK YOU for keeping me inspired! Judy :-)
Hi Judy, Yes, you can heat set it to speed up the process a bit however, it does dry fairly quickly. (About an hour depending on how thin you lay it down.) And yes, the glitter was applied while the gel was still wet. And I am sure the metal stencils would work too! :)
❤️❤️❤️ I think they need to make that transfer gel available by bucketfuls 😊 all of your samples are gorgeous! Can’t wait to get all the supplies to do this! Why am I just finding out about this! Thanx Gina!
Heidi Swapp has come out with some ink for stamps, to put thru the Minc and foil. But now I am wondering if the Decofoil transfer gel might be a better option. These cards are very very pretty!
These cards are beautiful! I purchased a minc machine and I've been having trouble with other techniques I've tried, but I think these will work just fine. I'll have to play with the heat settings but I'll figure it out. Tfs! Love your videos Gina!
Great Video! What is your work space made of? What ink brushes were you using on the sun stencil? Looked like it was ergonomically shaped which would be great for my hands.
I did buy some of this! Love it! Works way better than the Deco Foil toner paper and the results are excellent. I would like to try the stamping with it too. :)
Gorgeous cards, Gina, I absolutely love them. I saw you on I think it was Blitzy the other day showing your Foil-Mates. Gosh they are gorgeous especially the watercolor ones. I ordered some of this gel the day after and can hardly wait for it to come in.
This is fabulous. I am in the U.K. watching this fascinated at 3.00 a.m. Really must go to bed. Thanks Gina x
Thank you Gaynor!!
Wow! That stuff is a game changer. There are so many options you can use that for.
I have been making my own greeting cards for years, but watching your videos. Has given me new ideas and challenges. Now retired, I have more time to try new things. Awww, thanks so much Jim! :)
Remember you can use an iron also
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know an approximate setting for the iron? I can't afford a laminator right now, but really want to do some foiling. @@KayDejaVu
Well said, Jim. I agree fully!
I really like your step by step instructions, including cleanup. The cards are beautiful. Going shopping for supplies asap.
I’m seeing now that so many are using the foil with the heated laminator. I’m so glad because, like so many, l’ll never buy such an expensive machine without much versatile ways.
Wow Gina, if I can't find a way to use this gel, it isn't because you spared any techniques. Thanks for providing a hands on video, I need this gel :)
I so love your videos, always wonderful techniques and beautiful results. I have passed over the transfer gel so many times, now I cannot wait to get it. Thank you Gina you are awesome.

Thank you for the interesting lesson. I just got a jar of that Decor art and needed more instructions of using it.

You are soo right. That gel is a game changer. WOW! Thank you.
