Why a shim with the Minc? I haven’t seen anyone use one and I don’t with mine. Suggest letting the panel cool before peeling that way you won’t need to burnish.
The Glimmer, Gemini and other heat transfer foils require a hot press machine. The foils I used here are Heat Reactive foils and they are different. The heat reactive foils are the ones you want to use with a Minc Machine. :)

@@SunshineInMyPocket1 But if you use the Deco gel let it dry and use one of the other hot foils, some people have said they do it that way with this machine
@@euvid1 You may be able to do that using the Heat foils with Deco foil gel duo! I usually keep my foils separate and only use the Hot Foil with my hot press machine. That's because this hot foil has a sort of "adhesive" to it to react with heat and pressure. If you tried using it with a design printed with toner, the hot foil would not only stick to the design, but also all over the paper. I have not tried it with the deco foil (I will have to do some "research" on this!) I usually use my toner reactive foils only with the Minc (or laminator) and get great results. Sorry I don't have the full answer! Hope this helps, though. You will have to let me know if you get good results if you try it.
I just ordered the gel from Amazon and some different color foil squares. Can you tell me what I clean stencils with? Whats the name of the heat machine ? The eraser you had? Thank you
One of the crafters I watch keeps a bowl of warm water with dish soap next to her and when she pulls up the stencil, she puts it right into the water so that it doesn’t get dry and when she’s done, it wipes right off.
My Papa always said "if it is worth doing it is worth doing right or not at all "

Seeing the real deal helps me. I know I’m not alone. 😂
Merveilleux. Merci.
Could you please tell me what you are using to apply the deco gel?
Would it work better if you use a swiffer cloth or a dusting cloth on the back of the foil?
What about using other glues?
Have you ever tried putting the foil between parchment paper and then ironing it instead of laminating it, would that work?
You use a thick card stock but I am new to this. What weight would you consider thick for the purpose of this video? .Thank you.

Can you use glimmer , Gemini foil or other hot foils with the minx machine?

**I should say TONER reactive foils are the ones to use with a Minc
I bought a newer laminator and it only takes 5 min. to heat up, it has a light indicator to tell when it is ready and yeah -only 5 minutes
Can you use the hot foil you use with the go press or glimmer machine with the minx?
