You have great ideas - never would have thought to use Perfect Pearls this way. I loved the Christmas Ornaments and Embossing Folder the best. Not a fan of die cut flowers/images for any card because don''t like the white border it leaves.
I am so proud of you Simon - for a young man your age = you are amazing! Your personality is a shining star. Thank you for all your wisdom in crafting!
My first time here, Simon. Wow,,, your explanations of the use of these products is so clear. It's not the usual stuff. I appreciate your extra efforts to explain why you are doing what you are doing----not just with the Perfect Pearl techniques, but with using the different brushes or the dome foam blending tool or why you choose the Versamark ink or use of water. Funny, I know, but I appreciate your explanations of why and how to keep your desk, etc. clean and unmessy. Yay! Great! I'm subscribing!
My favourite is the stencilled circles one. Because the edges fade out, it makes it look like a sphere! Brilliant. My favourite way of using Perfect Pearls: I bought a Ranger paint palette and put some of the Perfect Pearls powder in each section, and very carefully (otherwise it goes everywhere!) dropped some water into each, and mixed them with a cocktail stick. They dry into a solid in each section of the palette, and you can use them like regular watercolour pans. This is much easier than putting some powder on your work surface and adding water. It’s also very easy to refill the pans as they get used up. I also created a square printed acetate (designed on my desktop publisher and printed out) which I stuck inside the lid of the box. Each printed circle lines up with a pan underneath, and has the name of the colour. Another favourite technique is to mix some Perfect Pearls with water in a mini-mister and you’ve got instant DIY glimmer mist! No need to set with water afterwards either. I’ve used Perfect Pearls for many years and absolutely love them. They are one of the most versatile products on the market and you can get so many different effects with them, as you use them in different ways. So much fun, and the results are always stunning!
i watched again and have to say the third looks like a project i can use anytime and since its more timeless style i can make some ahead while learning to have ready when an occasion arises, just an inspiring thought :)
By far, my favorite example is the embossing folder. My daughter passed away, so I inherited all of her art equipment. I had no idea what to do with the perfect pearls. Now I do. Thank you.
This was so fun to watch. I have Perfect Pearls that I haven’t used. Couldn’t even tell you how many years I’ve had them. Can’t wait to get them out. Thank you!
Simon, LOVED THIS VIDEO!! I didn’t realise that Perfect Pearls could be used so many FABULOUS WAYS!! I can’t wait to play with Your Ornament Stamp that I have & try the technique that you showed! I plan on trying ALL the FANTASTIC TECHNIQUES showed! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you & yours!!
I have had the Perfect Pearls for several years and have done very little with them. I loved this video and look forward to trying these techniques very soon! Thanks for sharing!
So Simon, how do you know not to dump the perfect pearls on your work station? 🤣😂🤣😂 My favorite Simon moment ever! Your face said it all! 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for that! And thanks for all you share and create! I wish I was half as talented as you!
I liked the stencil card best because the technique is so versatile. All 3 are of course fabulous! Oh, and I wasn't really aware of the water color option! Nice. Plus, I forgot about the deckle paper cutter. Gonna have to take a look....
Thanks for the ideas on how to use the perfect pearls I have and wasn’t sure what to . I will have to check my colors and may need more. All samples were great! The 3D folder was awesome!
Thanks for reminding me of an oldie but goodie! Perfect Pearls give such lovely results & are so inexpensive. One other tool that is helpful for more detailed work is the VersaMark pen
Hi Simon, Can't say I have a favorite video because I liked them all. I love working with Perfect Pearl's. They create a beautiful effect. Thanks for sharing.
I recently asked a number of friends to give me their 4 fave colors in order, thinking I'd use the info for cards & other craft projects for them ... I mean, who doesn't appreciate a homemade card, esp when it features your fave colors, am I right? And these examples, especially the last one, will fit very nicely with that idea. Thanks for the great tips & demos! You're the best! btw, I laughed out loud at your serious look right at the camera, "Trust me, don't try this. Ask me how I know." In my mind's eye, I saw it all play out. But I laughed with you, not at you. ;-)
Hi Simon. My fav is the 1st one you created. I have to be honest. When I started making cards 25 years ago, perfect pearls was one of my 1st purchases. They are still in their original packages. Never used them. But thank you Simon, now I really want to try them now. Sure hope they still work. ❤️🇨🇦
While I have Perfect Pearls, I prefer PearlEx. For whatever reason most card makers eschew fixatives, but I don’t mind adding a fixative to PearlEx. I also use epoxy & polymer clays, resin, and acrylic mediums. PearlEx plays well with all of those while the binder in Perfect Pearls sometimes has a funky reaction. One of my favorite techniques with mica powders is to mix it with a little acrylic glazing liquid. I then use it to color over solid black stamping. Like Simon said mica powders have more opacity than watercolors and dye inks so paint made with it have great coverage. I use this technique to add shimmer to holiday greetings almost every year. Also great for illuminated letters. My favorite card was the one with Christmas ornaments. I also liked the one made with the folk art embossing folder. I’d like to see that EF used with stamping foam.
You made beautiful potential card fronts. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you reminded me that using Perfect Pearls has stunning results, yet they are so inexpensive.
I love the dimensional look you achieved using the stencil and fading out the Perfect Pearls. Other cards are beautiful too, I love using Perfect Pearls for splatters, I appreciate you showing other uses.
Perfect Pearls are so neat. I think the last video you did inspired me to purchase some. Now I need to use them. I think doing your baubles would be fun to work on. Thanks for your inspiration! 🥰
Thank you for a great video! I have had this pack of Perfect Pearls for a while now and really didn't know how to use them. Your video showed me the basics of using them. I love the effect it has on the cards and I love all of the cards that you created. Thank you very much for your time.
One of my favorite videos. I knew about perfect pearls, but love how you showed some very unique techniques to do with them. Bravo Simon. Reminds of your old old videos- used to see so many new techniques.
Hi, Simon-I’ve used Perfect Pearls since they were released eons ago. Your video is the best I’ve seen for using them. Now I have to find mine. Thank you. I so enjoy your style and your videos.
Hi Simon! Great techniques and inspires me to get out those jars and use them! I liked the embossing folder best since I have so many of them. I can see making many cards with this technique! Thanks!
I have always wanted to experiment with Perfect Pearls and now you have given me a lot of inspiration to do so. I love all of the projects you just did.
AMAZING!! I've had perfect pearls for ever and I've only seen a couple videos on them. one of them was from Jennifer McGuire that I loved. But Simon, you blew this out of the park!
Hey Simon, I have been looking at my perfect pearls wondering how to use them. Today I know. I loved the stencil method the most. But as for Fussy Cutting - NOPE! That's what my scan and cut machine is for. Thanks for the techniques! You are helping me (or should I say - ENABLING me) to use the beautiful products that I have bought.
Bonjour 🤗 Merci pour ce tuto...c est juste magnifique 😍👏 Belle fin d année 🌹 Je vous félicite car c est d autant plus rare de voir un homme faire des activités créatives 👍🤗👏
I really appreciate this video. I have struggled to know how to work with my perfect pearls so NOW I have direction! I really loved your Christmas card. So lovely.
I'm making Christmas cards right now, so your first card was beautiful and the one that caught my eye. And your last card wowed me and had me thinking maybe I could do embossing folders in the future. Thanks for being so honest about mistakes you make and have made with cards. We can all learn from your mistakes and our own.
Hi friends! Comment which card/technique was your favorite. :)

Yay! So glad you enjoy the videos. :)
Dudette here! Thank you for reminding me of these techniques & how easy & beautiful they are! I love them but forget to use them. You're the best!
Love that bubble wrap background! Nice technique with the foam blender!
By far, my favorite example is the embossing folder. My daughter passed away, so I inherited all of her art equipment. I had no idea what to do with the perfect pearls. Now I do. Thank you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know she'd be happy you were using them.
I'm sorry for your loss. What a beautiful way to feel close to her- by using the supplies that brought her so much happiness.❤
What a beautiful way to connect with your daughter. My condolences!
Sorry for your loss! Hugs💙 I love that you get to use her supplies. So special!
My favorite was the dots... Love the way the fading makes it look like a 3D globe. 😊❤️
i was thinking the same thing.
I finally may try to use mine that I have had forever and didn't know what to do with them. You are an amazing crafter.
Iknow, I had forgotten about mine until Simon popped up with them
I liked all of them, but those ornaments are banging...definitely my favorite!
I loved the single flower from the beginning and the embossing folder at the end the most! Thank you for sharing!
The last one is a fav- With Perfect Pearls, you get a lot of bang for your buck! Good job, Simon!
Loved the bubble stencil and the folk embossing folder ❤️❤️❤️
This was so fun to watch. I have Perfect Pearls that I haven’t used. Couldn’t even tell you how many years I’ve had them. Can’t wait to get them out. Thank you!

My favorite card is #2. I love the background you created with the circle stencil 🥰😊. The flower and curved sentiment is the perfect accent.
I love your ornament set that looks like old-fashioned blown-glass! I am so thankful you have no background music! So easy to hear you!
Thanks Simon. Perfect Pearls are really a hidden gem. They’ve been around forever. Such a big punch of color and shine and easy to use.
