I drived this car and It was perfect. I am from europe and we have got Superb, Passat and some others cars, but this is the best car of this class. I think that in Canada is more favourite petrol than diesel but in 508 is diesel engine the best choise. I dont know if you can drive europe cars but Peugeot says that they will make some cars in America in future.
Confusing efficiency with fuel economy - a classic mistake that triggers every engineer. At the risk of being labeled a pedant, I'll let it go. I liked the review, despite the sound issues. Is the 1.5 diesel not a bit underpowered for this car, though?
Peugeot PLEASE give us a manual gearbox with that 225bhp engine, If you do I will buy one tomorrow. Otherwise not interested. Great review though thanks
Great styling makes this about the most impressive new car on the market. But those negatives!! as clearly stated in this video, high price and low residual value...would keep me away.
@@Andy-oe8bi that is true only if you inted of keeping this car untill it dies if not you will also suffer from deprecation one buying a one year old car.
More French RUBBISH the last Peugeot i had let me down so many times, one time the ratchet mechanism failed (a none problem with the 306) it rolled down the road into the front of a house!!!! another time the bonnet hinge broke one side and untold electrical problems all on a new car, I've had citroen's to ANOTHER pile of CRAP.
“Flat bottom and flat topped steering wheel”? The last time I saw that was on the appalling Austin Allegro and that was roundly panned by motoring journalists. Why is it suddenly cool? It’ll take wild horses to get me back into a Peugeot.
adam me You’re very probably right because they made some excellent cars like the 404 and 504 but fell into the corporate trap of cost cutting and higher profits at the expense of poor development, low reliability and quality. My (gorgeous) 607 was a nightmare like you’ll never believe.
MrRea112 Pug made quite good cars 'till the 2000s. I have a 306 1.9d and the engine has around 350 000k miles and is still working nicely. They lowered their game in the until the second gen 08. The newer 308 is arguably better than the VW Golf, the 208 is one of the best small cars, and the 3008 and 5008 are the best Crossover/SUV models in their price range. The 508 is definitely gorgeous, and with a starting price of 26000 euros, in the same price range as the Passat, while offering much more.
Hey sound guy, you had one job.
amazing beautiful car👍👍👍

Volume equalization is quite poor on this video. Please correct in future.
You mean volume dynamics...

Wish we could Peugeot and Renault in Canada... would love that quirky alternative to the norm.
Renault are preety normal... good cars but normal... not very quirky

There is nothing quirky about them..
it's a great car to drive, I've uploaded my own 508 video, very comfortable car, beautiful.
Fuel economy of 1.5 L diesel engine (130 hp) is "76" MPG?
way to loud music in the momentents where hees not talking,,,Impressive design by the french
Who came up with that horrible, horrible ear piercing, irritating sound at every sub-segment?
I could only watch it for 30 seconds, the sound is so irritating.
the music and sound are horrendous.

Tbh the price is high but the low residual value isn't a thing anymore since the 308 version 2
Sound is horrible
Skoda Octavia? xD Why would you compere 508 and Octavia?
Size wise its more towards a superb
Mercedes horrible and hideous design could learn a thing or two from Pug 3008 and 508 design.
How come Auto Manufacturers make such ugly wheels?
Too bad its value is going to drop faster then a paradiver because of the badge...
Why is that bad news ,a year old 508 ,you will get a lot for your money buying used

1 million 3008 sold in two years, seems people really like them. Quality is very good nowadays in new Peugeots I don’t see them depreciate that much

It’s an insult for the viewer intelligence to refer to Lamborghini when reviewing this car when it has nothin to do with it in any aspect. 👎
Perhaps because Audi is the parent company of Lamborghini and he was comparing the Peugeot to the Audi? That's the best I can come up with.
Markle2k THE. FUCKING. STEERING. WHEEL. It's similar to the one found in the current Lambo models.
True, Lamborghini never won le Mans, Pikes Peak or the WRC. A poser brand.
