I’m cautiously optimistic! Even the naysayers seem to be getting quieter with each new detail we learn. I’m not going to preorder - I never do - but I have a feeling it will have been a worthwhile wait.

People should give BioWare a chance here. It seems like they are really trying to listen to fan feedback after what happened with Anthem. No online, completely single player, unique origins, and a robust character creator.

I agree. Although, the material they chose to show to the majority of people (characters reveal trailer and gameplay) isn't great. I'm still pre-ordering this game, but I have to say that I'm not as impressed as I was hoping I'd be. I really hope that the story and characters will be amazing, as those are the most important things for me in a game.

i’m glad to be seeing more positivity surrounding Veilguard, i unfortunately was not completely sold on it at first..but after this extra info along with the gameplay trailer, i’m now in a state of cautious optimism which i anticipate will grow more optimistic and less cautious. still some things i wish were different - Neve is not one of them lol - but i look forward to seeing more, i want this game to do really well. thank you for always bringing the Dragon Age and Mass Effect goods here on YT; it's clear that you put so much into it!

"Solas released Evanuris." Hahah pretty sure Rook released them. It's again case of player character doing something they weren't supposed to thus unleashing some disaster. Rook destroyed two statues and what do you know .. two Evanuris appeared in front of Solas.

Just like with the Dead Space Remake you also do not need the EA app.

really hyped to finally experience Dragon Age again...played it way back when I was still a teenager (16) and had to replay all of it again recently to refresh my memory. Veilguards trailer was amazing, I'm kind of surprised that some people thought different. Looking forward to finally see Solas and Varric, thank you for this Video!
Oh thank god (or should I say the Maker) for the "not having Rook die ever" option. I love RPGs for the stories but im so bad at combat, specially ATC! This makes me so happy so I can focus on the plot!

Not gonna lie, the promise of loads of hair style options has me, but I still can't forgive them for shrinking the party from four to three.
While I wish it wasn't changed, I get why. I think it makes sense given that (it seems) we're acting in secret. Travelling with a smaller party is safer this way. Gameplay wise, it seems like the game will be more "narrow" in its environments and quests, it's not as open world as Inquisition. This also makes having one less person make more sense.
Literally. But it's true Bioware style to give so many companions compared to all the past games and then only let you bring two LOL.

The content creator that has covered this by far the longest is gamermd83, 13 years, of both Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Her channel went on hyatus until this trailer after which she made two long videos which can be found under the Live tab. She was close to BioWare. She's gotten interviews no other content creator was able to secure during Mass Effect's prime. They know her on a first name basis. Those videos have since been unlisted. They talk about design. She is from Southern California. Then she moved to Canada and got married to a BioWare lead. I did not watch her two videos to get her reaction because of my unfamiliarity with Dragon Age. But you might be interested.

I said this on one of your previous videos but I can’t stress enough how glad I am they’re not using Dragon Age Keep again. NEVER got that to work in all 3 of my runs and it sucks not having that lore development in the game, it may be small but I still like seeing and hearing the choices made in previous games. Also, I really think this game is getting too much and unnecessary hate. Story looks good, art style look Dragon Age to me, and gameplay looks good from what I saw in the gameplay video. But I suppose, to each their own.
Lots of unnecessary hate. Many complain that it is not like Origins. It seems like they didn't play 2 or Inquisition.

I’m excited about the game now. I’ve been thinking about the combat system, the affinity system, the role playing and I think I see promise in every aspect. It looks good. It looks like the devs were paying attention to what worked and what didn’t work or what they could have done better. Then they took what worked from all of the games, mixed them in and let it cook for a decade.
I’m excited that my Inquisitor will get some closure…I hope. Also I’m excited to create my inquisitor with a better character creator…

Really disappointing that the keep isn't being used anymore. Tons of wasted digital infrastructure. It actually worked really well as a way to revisit your 3-game-long adventure.

I feel like it makes sense to have a release date announcement next Tuesday for the special magazine edition, unless there's something I'm missing. I also just want to be able to decide if this is the game where I finally just buy a collector's edition so it would be nice to get more information on pre-orders etc

The more info that trickles out, the more intriguing I find this...definitely interested in seeing more gameplay that is more actual release quality...looking forward to more of your videos, as I'm slowly starting to work out what faction/backstory, etc., as well as projected romance partner once the game drops. Still not quite at the point where I'm going to be picking it up Day 1, unless Steam also has a sale on it, but no question I'll be playing it.

I am big Dragon Age fan, putting thousands of hours into the games, books and comics. While this gameplay looks much better than a trailer, i still have concerns around 3 person party, 3 skills (why give us such an extensive skill tree if we cannot use it), and i am still not totally sold on the art style (Varric and Solas look weird, while Neve and Harding look amazing…). Hopefully the story and companions deliver. Bioware really needs a win.

All the stuff with hair physics and makeup is my jam. I spend so much time with that stuff and any excuse to see where they advanced the looks, I'm here for that. Especially because I also have longer hair, having good-looking hair bounce and volume would be great...

Let’s see. I did male city elf rouge for origins. Funny Female mage Hawke. Male qunari mage inquisitor. I gotta do a dwarf now. Thinking female warrior. Either grey warden or veil jumper just based on what we know right now. Tried playing dwarf in the other ones but I could never make them look good
I'm honestly okay not using the Keep to bring my options over to The Veilguard. The mods I use on my canon Solavellan are not working properly so I'm probably gonna have to finish the game without them. Having the opportunity to build her in The Veilguard is far more appealing to me, especially since the Character Creator sounds like it's going to be vast with options.

I am excited to hear about the lighting. It's always been a problem in the Bioware CC. You spend all your time making the world's hottest Shep, then they sit up from their hospital bed in-game and it's like YEEEEESH what have I done?! Resumable banter, fuck yeah! I loved that about God of War.
I can't remember how many times I started a game over because certain angles make my character look like shit 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The keep *cannot* go away because you can't play Inquisition properly without it.
But I still did so back than though...
@@mihaelo3024 Yeah but in terms of decision importing, they NEED the keep for inquisition. I would literally not play the game again if keep disappeared.
If I remember right in origins there had been 4 blights already meaning that by the end of the game 5 of the Old gods had been destroyed leaving 3 remaining potential Archdeamons. The events at the beginning of Valeguard seem to indicate that 2 of them are released and according to Chantry lore they would not be corrupted by the blight since they were not awakened by the Dark Spawn. This would be a great setup for a game that deals with the Final Blight.
