SALTxTHExWOUND I wish I had then money to have got the one you got. That was the one I was looking at getting. But with my luck I just went with the cheap budget suit!
I'll be looking forward to the "first track day" video for you two! You guys are fortunate to be able to wear off the rack suits, glad they fit well. The struggle is real for us short, oddball-sized people! 🤣👌🏼 I've lost around 40 lbs, since ordering my custom suit...much more, and I'll be measuring for another custom suit 🙄🤷♂️
You know YOU know you’re shredded when you rock a WHITE compression base layer 😂 Suits look good, just picked up an RST myself for track duty and may get a two piece missile setup for canyon carving
Treizez34 lmao Idk about shredded, I’ve been laying into the holiday treats 😅 RST was actually one of my picks as well, there’s just not many US distributors that carry them. I was looking at the TST TracTech evo 3 to be exact. Which did you end up going with?
SALTxTHExWOUND didn’t go so technical because I wanted to keep the price down and went with the r-ce 18. Gotta say though it’s great quality and really nice.
When should I get a full suit? I’m getting my first bike in about 9 months and I’m not sure what gear I should get to start out. If I should start out with a full suit or not?
The sleeves of the missile suit appeal to be to long for racing gauntlets. Are they restricting your wrist movement in the full tuck and full throttle position? ☺️
Definite must for track days but yeah, a good fitting suit feels good to ride in and gives confidence. Nice on both, especially Heather. 😁 Have fun on the track day! It's so much fun!
I have had two suits both tailor made be sure to keep them secure when not wearing them my second suit got stolen i am very proud to say i have to wear my first suit it was tailored for me 1992 kind of still fits! ;) I am sure you'll love track riding.
I have two Alpinestars suits and love both of them. Have you tried wearing a back protector with your suits? They look pretty tight without the back protectors already installed.
@@MoHawk_1970 I like them both. They offer great protection and still allow for ventilation when riding on hot days. I also wear a sweat wicking suit underneath I bought from Alpinestar also.
I bought the alpinestars gp pro v2 suit, little more pricey but I love it.. Had the missile but a buddy of mine who does track days had an issue with the knee slider not hitting the ground but the leather instead, he said there was a defect in the positioning of the puck so I went with the gp pro. Hopefully thats not the case for you and they fixed it since then, great suit tho at a great price, very comfortable!
YzfR6 the GP pro v2 was definitely on the list as well! It depends how you ride and body positioning mostly, I read a review saying the pucks are more GP positioned whereas they will touch when you’re truly leaned over far enough, they can hit leather first if you’re overreaching and trying hard to get your knee down rather than using it as a lean angle gauge. I see people sometimes dragging knee when their bike is barely even leaned over, not saying that was your friends case but it could be something for him to look into? Thanks for watching brother! 👊🏻😁
Really nice suits guys!! I'm also looking at getting a full suit for the upcoming riding season. I'm in the frozen northeast, so I have time hahaha... I don't do any track riding yet, not sure if I ever will but I want the full protection of a suit. I may even get an airbag vest one day. What do you think of the Spidi Track Wind Pro Race suit? The black/gold color one matches my bike, and I like the look of it, but I just don't much about them. I'm about 5'7 and 170 lbs, I think I'm going to be a size 48, but its hard to tell by pictures how a specific suit fits. It can't be too big or the armor won't sit in the right spots. As I said, I don't do track riding, so I don't need something super duper, but I also believe you get what you pay for so I'm not gonna cheap out on it either. Need something quality, but won't break the bank too bad.
Doug Clarke absolutely man, you want a good quality suit for sure. I’m 5’11” and 175 and the A* suit I have for sale that I bought is a size 50 and I had to squeeze into it but couldn’t move at all it was so tight. I would say you’re probably around a 48-50 by your height/weight. Probably more so on the 50 side, I think a 48 may be too tight. You could always call up revzilla and talk with one of their gear experts, they are super knowledgeable and good with this sort of thing. As far as spider goes, I looked at that suit as well. They make excellent gear, once heather decided on the A* missile suit I was sold on it as well though just bc I’ve always like A* gear. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the top brands like Alpinestars, Rev It, Dainese, Spidi, Held, RST. Hope this helps, Good luck man! 😁👍🏻
@@SALTxTHExWOUND thanks man, good to know about the size 50, always nice to have a little room, especially to possibly add chest and back protector. I just worry about the length. Guess I can always send it back if it's too long. A* gear is great for sure. My pants, boots and gloves are A*. The pants I have though fit me fine, but the knee armor is not snug, the pocket doesn't hold it well in place, even using the little velcro adjustment thingy inside it. I'm constantly pulling the knee armor up to where it should be. When I'm sitting on the bike it stays in place better, but eh, I'm not crazy about these pants after using them a few months. They weren't cheap either. I upgraded the hip protection to level 2, so that fits where it should be, it's the knee/chin armor, when I stand up off the bike, or when I start walking, the knee part falls down to the chin.. its so annoying! Lol
SALTxTHExWOUND well to be completely accurate - I tried on a different Dianese suit awhile back and was too tall for the 40, so the 42 was my fit. According to my measurements for this Stella Missule suit, the 40 would’ve likely been my proper fit, but uncomfortably tight in the chest. Good thought on the back protector to fill up some space 👊🏻 will be looking into one soon!
No back protector? Im 5'8 170 and the 52 w back protector gives me a race fit w my missle.. N remember the suit will stretch by up to 10% when broken in.. So if its baggy now anywhere, ittl only get worse. Imo race fit holds armour where it needs to be, n acts like a 2nd skin..
Joseph Calderone which boots have you tried on? I currently wear the Alpinestars smx 6 boots and they hardly took any time to break in. Usually boots can be hard to shift in right out of the box but once Broken In they shouldn’t be a problem
As to the break in use saddle soap regularly and use a saphir leather lotion rub it in with your hands generously it's great stuff.. You can buy it at a good shoe cobbler
She must've had a hard time finding a perfect one, since ladies come in so many different torso and hip measurements. Both your suits look pretty badass if you ask me 👍

@@SALTxTHExWOUND Thanks, Salt. I just ordered the blue/black Alpinestars Motegi V2 in the same size 52 Euro to match my 2016 GSX-R1000 (similar color scheme as your 750).
