    Great video guys :) Very informative and helpful as all your videos are. This has definitely helped me understand sizing and types of fit. I'm about 176lbs (79-80kgs), 182cm, athletic type build and based on my own measurements using A*'s guide, I think I'm either a Euro 50 or a 52. I feel more confident with sizing especially seeing how these sizes fit Eric in the video. Thanks again for posting this up and keep up the great work!

    Awesome vid mate, currently trying a new suit, but being 6'3 and 13 stonne (UK weight sorry don't know in lbs) I'm finding my 56" a little tight around the crown jewels area, im on the verge of sending it back and trying a 58"
    I know it will stretch a little but there ain't much room for chest/back protection. Do you think a 58 euro would work or will it be to baggy around the arms and legs? Or am I that in between size and need a custom fit?
    Thanks Van, keep the informative vids coming, they are a very useful tool.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  5 лет назад +1

      You need to sit on the bike when you try it on as it is designed to be worn on the bike an not while standing. Make sure to wear all of the same protection under it you would when riding as well. At 182 lbs and 6' 3" I think a 58 would be too large in most of the suits we offer here at STG. - Van

      @@sportbiketrackgear Cheers for the reply, the suit I was trying was a Armr Harada R. I found it way too tight for my height. If they offered Short Regular and Tall sizes for starters.. I would send off to Pakistan for a custom made but I don't think they use the stretchy material like Alpine Star and many others do ..

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  4 года назад

      A few of the brands have experimented with different lengths over the years and the sales volume of the short and tall suits just did not support the cost to do so. That said all of the suits offer a little different fit and we are able to get most riders into a good fitting suit. Worst case scenario is have some minor alterations made to an off the rack suit. - Van

    I'm having huge issue finding a suit that fits me race fit without danger of being contricted to death. I wore a A* 40/50 but gained weight (belly) so had to get rid of it. I have a Berik that is size 54 but is little too big for me (more of a comfort fit I guess it would be). I could probably have custom suit made but it just costs too much. Im currently on a diet but I'm 5"10 192 lbs, belly/waist is 103cm (around 40). My goal is to fit back into 42/52.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  11 лет назад

      Both are safe IMO. Myself I prefer the "Race Fit" and do not mind breaking the suit in. If you intend to use additional armor or thicker, more protective armor "Comfort Fit" is the way to go. I would also say that is safer as you have added the layers of protection. If you do not intend to use slimmer armor or just a back protector then the "Race Fit" is the way to go. - Van

    Hey Brian, got some questions.I want to buy the Laguna Seca 4 Race 1-piece suit, it's going to be my first race suit so I don't have any experience, I've checked the size chart on Dainese's website and all my measurements indicate I'm a size 58, except for the inseam which for a size 58 is 86-87cm (33.85-34.25 inches) while my inseam measurement is 80cm (31.49 inches) so a 6-7cm (2.36-2.76 inch) difference.
    Would this be a deal breaker in your opinion? Would there be too much excess material just hanging around in the pants area or would it disappear once I get in the tuck position?
    Would the pants being too long affect the way the knee protectors would sit on the knees? Or can they be moved by hand in order for them to sit dirrectly on the knees? Thanks alot!

      I would start in a 36 Euro and see how it fits. To take up some of the extra space I would suggest a thick back protector, padded shorts and a chest protector. - Van

      If you could get an inflatable air vest to wear under the suit might be a good fit.. Add some Velcro straps that can be looped and cinched down externally . Many Jackets and pants have Velcro straps on the sides in the waist area

      You want the suit to fit snug but not overly tight where it restricts movement. We can always help walk you through sizing before purchase and then once you have it to ensure it is the correct fit. Thanks! ~Aubrey

    The comfort fit suit will create blisters from the suit rubbing his skin in an off....50 would have been ideal if he'd have wanted a less snug fit

      ***** Some riders do not like the suit tight and get distracted while wearing it because they are not comfortable. A suit that is a little looser may cause a friction burn, but I do not believe it would blister. When a rider is comfortable they ride better which reduces the possibility of a crash. - Van

    This isn't what ppl are looking for, all u did was show somthing that fits, somthing that's to small and to big... all of this was completely obvious. Ppl are searching for measurements to size of hight and weight, (the numbers) not why to small or to big is bad, I'm starting to hate the internet.

      We sell more race suits than any other shop you will find. None of the measurements mean anything because all of the size charts are useless. Each of the suits offer a different fit when compared to each other even in the same size. If you need help with sizing on a suit shoot us a call to 1-888-784-4327 or email to orders@sportbiketrackgear.com and the team will get you dialed in.
      On our site and channel there are tons of race suit reviews where we cover sizing for each model. Find a suit you like then reach out and we will help you. - Van

    Hey is it rude to size a suit in a place where you have no intentions of buying? My gut says that's a dickish thing to do, right? How else am I gonna get my size in person? The dealerships are absolutely tripping, money wise, and that's the only place I can find something like that where I live? They're like a whole top-shelf helmet off in price.
    So is that being a dick?
