I feel like the problem with the guitar solo was how it was placed in the arrangement, it was right after a shout section and at the beginning of the solo section and came out with a very dissonant substitution that held out for an entire phrase, which sort of ruined the hype from the band section before it. Maybe if it was placed later in the solo section, the dissonance would have been more tasteful, and the substitutions are still cool af, but the rapid tonal transitions created an unsteady flow
I don't think there's a right order for the solos. I think he was trying too hard to play "out" right in the beginning, plus what made him think that bend was a good idea?
I can hit a high D above the staff as a freshman in highschool and I'm still working on my range. Only a few months ago was u able to hit the B above the staff. I'm currently trying to learn his solo and if all goes well I will be amazed at myself lol

Could you just show a musical sheet lines above staff, then mark what notes belong to what "naming octave"? Would be great if we can uniform this globally at one time. What we call C4 in Europe, is called C 7 or "double C" or"double high C" in other parts of the world, and so on... where exactly does one octave mumber end and another begin? I thought it was at every "C", where another octave number begins, right??

While i am still no where good enough on "Let it go" yet, i find myself compelled to buy the backing track for this old favorite as well. This song, possibly the most well known favorite of most trumpeters came out while i was in Jr High School. Hell, this song is the World Wide anthem for us trumpet players;)

Watching these guys is like a ant looking up at a giant mountain I struggle to get out notes like a B natural above the staff it’s very encouraging to watch and listen to
nicely done. the horns are a nice touch. but what key was the guitar player in? I'm all for those out there changes that create tension, but at least come back to the tonic every once in a while.

Ok I know this is a recorded piece so it's unfair to compare and I won't mention names, but honestly, Louis plays so effortlessly up there with a nice fat, brilliant smooth tone - I feel like a lot of other players that scream, sound more strained or thin. And I've seen some youtube videos where it wasn't a high-quality recording like this - and the same conclusion. Mad props to the Flugelhorn player that was a fantastic smooth solo!

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing it, but the video & audio seems to desync every once in a while throughout the video, don't know why. (Specifically, it seems to start to happen around the flugelhorn solo). Other than that, the audio was superb! Further Edit: Ok, I seem to have it on videos of other RUclipsrs as well, so I'm guessing RUclips's just bugged out for me at the moment.
Back in the 70's you could buy albums called "Music Minus One". These were albums recorded with whatever instrument they were directed for deleted from the sound track. This looks like a digital version of the same. Very cool, wish I still played.......You do a heck of a job on these tunes. Keep up the good work.
